The party enters a world much different than the one many of them left 3 years ago. Many cities have been abandoned. Those cities that are still occupied are under martial law to a large extent.
People are very afraid of the world, and for good

Yeah, he was trying to sneak his way up the stairs to warn the others, Haundo fears the the Learned more then anything but he doesn't know if it was a learned or a living person that was moving around. So he thought it would be better to provide a little back up for the others.

Sadly though he isn't sneaky :p lol. He was just as loud as normal or perhaps a little worse. >.<;


Deoghe if you are going from door to door trying to check them then I will need a perception check for each door. You can keep the first perception check, and only roll 4 more.

Eventually I am going to try and make a mithril tower shield, that would be righteous. As I know the standard tower shield is only made of wood but a mithril Riflemans bulwark would be a lot of fun and raise my ac some ;)

Hopefully the info up by my name isn't too bothersome for people. It something I saw another player doing in another php and I thought it was a nice way to keep battle stats out and available. Let me know if its too irksome. Thanks! :)

i was thinking of doing it myself to make things easier.


It doesn't bother me, though it would bother me on my Alt. Still, if Watcher finds it helpful, I'll make the change, too.

I think we do it before we have the wagons there there will be less for us to have to protect/worry about while battling the undead.

When I said slowly and quietly, I didn't mean over the course of a couple weeks...

Can we increase the pace a bit? What can I do to accommodate such, Watcher? In this, I don't see much more choice than "We move forward," or "We turn the wheel." Perhaps some more environment details would help? I haven't run a PHP game before, so don't mind this too much please.


I try to give everyone a chance to post before I move on, but if everyone wants me to speed up I can assume the party travels together instead of waiting for confirmation in certain areas. As an example I would have assumed everyone traveled to the gate last time.

Well tobin haundo and d all stayed at the warehouse while Andrews uchendu and dagor went to the gatehouse.

De'ohge would have stayed at the warehouse. Once he saw the others securing the windows and doors, he would assist as well. He would also be looking for access to the roof.


Another PbP has a need for an arcanist(full caster). The GM really wants someone who can post everyday to replace a member. PM me if you are interested.

It is a CoT(Council of Thieves) game.


I PM'd Dagor to see if he is still in.

I am trying to make a decision on the mass combat rules. Once I do that I will talk to the new players and get the game moving again. :)


Alright I think the Kingmaker rules will be better for this. The resistance will be composed 20 level 3 warriors.


I will come up with the stats for the zombie "army" tomorrow or I guess later today.

Kingmaker rules 20 oblige 3 guys eh? I have all the kingmaker adventure path and it'll be interesting on how they come out. :)


I have the books, but I will have to look them up again. I just know the KM rules are easier for one combat than the heroes of battle rules.

IIRC there are opposed rolls involved between the armies.


I doubled the number of hit points both armies are supposed to have. That might make it last more than one round if one of us rolls really high.

Offense Modifier(OM)=1 ¼
Tactic:Up to you. Choose 2 from the book. These are the two you will be allowed to using.

If the party is willing to spend the 1000 gp to give the soldiers healing potions the army can recover 2 HP on a turn, but they can't attack that round.

Morale Check = d20 + leader’s Cha mod + morale score

army equal to the result of the attacking army’s Offense check minus the defending army’s DV.

@DM Walker: I will have those tactics picked in just a few minutes, sorry for the wait. After that forum outage earlier my campaigns tab says that I have hundreds of new posts...... Which is a scary lie lol.

Will post those tactics shortly. Also York you guys if you want to give that 1k of potions to the fighters or not. If you think you could use it better then by all means take the 1k :)
