Praise be to Lamashtu! Lol Right now I'm trying to talk my tired broken down ass into getting out of bed and going in tonight. I feel like crap, but it can't be helped. I'm sorry I'm so whiny.

Do I need that to open a lock with a key? I'm just tying not to get noticed while I do it.
GM Scary Ceiling Voice |
*facepalm* Right right, you have the keys. Sorry.
Despite how fierce the scrap got, the Captain managed to get his men back under control quickly. Only giving the Halfling enough time to unlock himself and stow the keys away.
"That is enough," He commanded, "Get back to your duties."
With a grumble, his men complied.
Turning to the two that started it, and glaring, "Another outburst like that, and you'll join these sacks of shit in Branderscar. Understood?"
The men nodded.
Eri la Grave |
She sighs, this was going to be harder than she initially thought. Thinking for a moment she says, "Says the man that got you lot in this mess in the first place. Good job genius." She scoffs loudly.
Ravanalonna |
Ravanalonna smirks, intrigued to see how the guards had been manipulated so far. There might indeed be hope for escaping this mess and making those responsible suffer. She gives her fellow prisoners a nod of appreciation.
Eri la Grave |
We should Julias Ceasar his ass, and try to get his own officers to turn on him. If we could get the officers to all gang up on him....maybe that would bef enough of a distraction for us to get away? At least start to sow the seeds of discontent? Maybe we could get them to turn on him by nightfall? There by increasing our chances of getting away? Does that sound like a decent idea at all?
Aleister Sune |
Aleister waits until nightfall or for another distraction, keeping his head down in the meantime, before he tries to unlock the others.
GM Scary Ceiling Voice |
@ Ravan - You know, I'm a little terrified what you'd be able to pull off as the group seductress.
The Captain narrowed his eyes are Eri. Stepping to the cage, and said, "You shut your mouth B+~~!, or I'll shut it for you. They wouldn't care in the slightest at Branderscar if you arrived with a few less teeth."
Eri la Grave |
She sneers at him, "Say that with me off my leash you piece of $hit. Oh yeah, that would mean that you would have to actually have balls, instead just flapping your jaw." She just laughs at him, "You're pathetic. I don't know why these men keep taking your orders when you're clearly inept at your job." She says, finishing her statement by spitting in his face. Her tirade had worked up quite a bit of saliva and she was more than happy to share it with him.
*Rubs hands together evily.*
Eri la Grave |
"You're just mad because you know what I say is true. You're just too much of a stubborn ass to admit it. Just like you didn't listen to the caravan master and got everyone stranded and then made these poor men work themselves almost to death because of your mistakes." She adds before stepping back quickly out of his reach.

The Captain visibly loses his temper and reaches for Eri, but she managed to slip back before he can. Quickly regaining his composure, he turned to his men, "Move out."

Shaking her head she sighs as she looks at the four guards, "What's to stop him from running some of you to death? You're out here in the middle of no where because of him. Why do you think he purposefully refused to listen to the advice of someone that was obviously more experienced than him? If a few of you collapsed from exhaustion, who do you think would benefit from it? The fewer of you that make it back to the prison, the more money he gets to keep for himself. Are you really going to let him do that to you.....to your families? I'm here because I was stupid and made a mistake, but you're here because of him and his greed. I don't know about you lot, but to me....his intentions seem very obvious." She says as she looks around at the others. Having been raised by people that were drunken, gambling, thieving idiots that sold her off while she was still young to pay off their gambling debts....she was able to recognize certain.....things about people. This Captain person tried to make everyone around him think that he was a good man that was doing his job, but Eri could see right through him. He was nothing more than a greedy pig that didn't care about anyone but himself. Her knuckles turn white as she grips the bench they sit on as she feels the beginnings of that rage fill her heart. Looking up with tears in her eyes as she relived her past she cries out, "He doesn't care about anyone but himself! Why can't you see that?! There's SIX of you and ONE of him! What are you afraid of?!" Unable to stop herself she sobs openly, the wounds of her past made to feel fresh again by one man's callousness. As she sobs she cries out silently to her Goddess, the only one that truly cared about her Lamashtu, mother of ALL monsters...be with your child now. Give me strength and comfort in these dark hours, and the courage to do whatever I have to in order to survive and get all of us out of this mess. I'm sorry I'm not a better servant, but be with me now mother. She allows her tears to flow freely as she conversed with the only one that she felt truly loved her.
Sorry that was so long. I felt the need to explain why she feels the way she does.

Gio remained silent throughout most of the day. While the mouthy girl hit upon some truths, her methods were brutish and less effective than they could have been. Waiting for the captain to be out of earshot, he speaks to the guards. "The girl does have a point. No life is worth less than any other. You are just as important as your captain. Nay, I would say more so since you do the majority of the work. Does he make allowances for your thoughts and feelings? It doesn't seem so. You have families to go back home to and a mission you'd like to see through successfully. Perhaps you should convince the captain that waiting for the Caravan Master would be the best course of action. Then you would have supplies to see you through this perilous journey and the expert guidance needed to get us to Brandescar. If he will not listen to reason, then force may be the only option."

She remains quiet as the well spoken one conversed with the guards. He seemed to have a more serious and educated background than she did, but she was more concerned wfith survival than how pretty her words were. She uses the time he speaks to try and calm down, wiping her face with her dirty hands.

The particularly bullying Guard, once again, slapped his club against the bars, "Shut your mouth."
Travelling until nightfall, something changed. The tension was different with the four guards. Although you couldn't quite put your finger on this issue.

Gio keeps an eye on the four guards, trying to intuit their next moves. He hums one of his favorite hymns, "Underneath the Ruby Star", before making his prayers.
Father Asmodeus, I sense the time of liberation is at hand. Let my strength not fail me when the time comes, grant me your daily blessings and let your glory and benevolence be seen in my countenance.
Ravanalonna |
Remaining quiet as she studies the dynamic developing between the guards, the captain and her fellow prisoners. She now knew how to focus her own particular talent for persuasion on should the need arise. It would be interesting to see how things unfolded, especially once everything was quiet enough for the halfling prisoner who was probably planning something, to act.

As everyone went about their duties, you notice the four guards acting a bit more suspicious. The Capatin noticed as well, and strode up to the men.
"What is on your minds," He demanded.
With a look to each other, the blonde guard spoke up, "The prisoners are right. There was no need to leave the Caravan Master and the others behind. So we'd have been a few days late to Braderscar, what of it? The prisoners are still going to die. Does it really matter when that happens?"
The Captain's fist tightened, "It's not you decision to make, and you will follow my orders or be court martial-ed. Understood?"
That was the final straw, without warning the blonde guard pulled his sword and drove it through Captain's belly. "We are waiting for the others."
Another fight broke out, but this time, with blades.

Smelling the blood started bringing up that old hungar, but she knew time was of the essence. Looking at the others she asks qsuietly, "Should we stay and try to finish them off, or just get the hells out of here?"
Eri la Grave |
I was just thinking if we were able to kill the rest of them, maybe we could search them and find a map or some other useful things? They're armed though, and we're not.

Saying a silent prayer to Lamashtu for strength and victory over their enemies, she changes into her more bestial form and embraces her rage before approaching whichever of the guards looks more injured and attacking them.

With a ferocity that you wouldn't expect to see in one so young, Eri uses her claws to rip into one of the guards that already seems heavily wounded. As she slashes him open, she lets out an eerie howl. Lamashtu, help me. Be with me and let me not fail you again.

Since the likelyhood of winning this is really high, I'm going to just do narration for this fight. The Guards won't act until you all have.
Eri's claws find the man's neck easily, as she opens one of his arteries causing blood to spray all over the guard next to him, and him to collapse on the ground.

Well....I don't think everyone has natural weapons like Eri....but wasn't there another wagon with us that has supplies and stuff like that in it? Would it have other weapons and stuff in there too? I'm just sayin' since our friendly neighborhood thief has the keys.....*shrugs* I know we don't have all the time in the world though so we gotta finish em' off and search through stuff for like a map of the area and water and stuff so we don't die trying to make our getaway.

I don't know if she can yet or not, but I was kinda hoping to see Ravan BBQ one of the bastards. I think it would be fun to hear him scream. *wicked grin*
