I don't want to lose either of you due to boredom

For the Darius vs Duncan match.

16 plus or minus 1d4 squares.

above 1-50=minus
below 51-100=plus

1d4 ⇒ 1

1d100 ⇒ 42

Terrain roll

1d6 ⇒ 5
-----------------------------------

Chance for hurricane or tornado
1d100 ⇒ 11

-----------------------------------------

above 1-50=hurricane
below 51-100=tornado

Let me know how much time you need to prepare. :)

1d100 ⇒ 68

I currently can check about once per day at night and on sundays I can check through the day. Prep is underway.

So, fighting an antipaladin in an urban combat theater, close range, during a tornado?

Sounds like fun!

I feel there is so much epic battle music that needs to be posted for this fight.

Both of you hit hard, and can take a lot of damage. I was hoping the virtual program would be ready by now.

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

The fight between Ulthor and I has been resolved.

Just waiting on the DM then.

I did not know you were ready Darius. I will have a map up tonight or tomorrow for the next two fights.

Match 2 will be Orion vs a random monster.

First I will roll for the map size

16 plus or minus 1d4 squares.

above 1-50=minus
below 51-100=plus

1d4 ⇒ 3

1d100 ⇒ 33

Then for the enviroment

Map environments-not going by the book
1-Plains-no cover or concealment

2.Forest-no cover or concealment within 20 feet. Trees 20 feet tall
25-50 feet- 20% concealment, +2 cover bonus to AC
60+ 40 percent concealment, +5 cover bonus to AC, no difficult terrain.

3. Jungle-no cover or concealment within 10 feet. Trees 30 feet tall
25-50 feet- 35% concealment, +4 cover bonus to AC
60+ 40 percent concealment, +5 cover bonus to AC,

difficult terrain-lose 1/4 of your movement while below the top of the trees while flying or using land speed).

4-desert--no cover or concealment but difficult terrain while on the ground.

5-urban area-parts of the map will be difficult terrain. detail will be provided if this is rolled.
Cover will be by the way of large structures.
20% change of hurricane or tornado force winds. Flying debris may cause hit point damage.

6-extreme heat. Hot enough to cause fire damage(2d6 instead of the book's 1d6), and make a fort save to avoid 1d6 nonlethal heat damage instead of 1d4.

1d6 ⇒ 6

so the map is only 13 by 13, and it will be intensely hot.

Not available:Bandersnatch, Magicbane[V],
Behemoth, Thalassic,
Balor,
Plemora,
Iathavos,
Dragon, Chromatic (Green, Great Wyrm)
Dragon, Chromatic (Red, Wyrm)
Dragon, Imperial (Forest, Wyrm)
Dragon, Imperial (Sea, Great Wyrm)
Dragon, Imperial (Sovereign, Ancient)
Dragon, Metallic (Copper, Great )
Dragon magma
dragon, umbral

The opponent:1d17 ⇒ 13 It seems we have a pit fiend. I took stupid or previously rolled monsters out of the equation. I also took monsters out that were fan-made. I initially rolled a 13.Good I got a 13 again. It seems a Void Oni came up.

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

Interesting...so I have to take him out before the environment can take me out.

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

I am ready when you are Watcher.

Ditto, ready whenever

I am making the maps now. I do apologize for my tardiness. Since it is down to the last two fights I will be more lax with my 24 posting rules, even though I do prefer for everyone to post quickly. I was just trying to avoid anyone dropping out due to boredom.

The official monster is the Void Oni. The pit fiend was an error on my part even though I do believe it would have made for a better fight. We will see what I can do with what I have.

Poor oni...fire elemental effects in play...

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

Winner: Orion. Because sometimes, its nice just to hit something in the head with a club.

I figured that was going to be easy unless I got lucky. At least it the win means a player vs player matchup though.

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

Orion reads the blow by blow of the Duncan vs Darius fight.

Dammit. Not him again.

Orion grumbles, heading off to his local library to do some research.

Sorcerer do research? And here I thought you were just an idiot savant of the magical world.

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

Ah, Sorcerer's do research. And we get to be rock stars, all at the same time.

It seems the winds of fate have called for a rematch.

Darius let me know when you are ready.

If either of you have used any one-use items you have them back.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

First I will roll for the map size.

16 plus or minus 1d4 squares.

above 1-50=minus
below 51-100=plus

1d4 ⇒ 2

1d100 ⇒ 59

------------------------------------
Environment

1d6 ⇒ 2

2.Forest-no cover or concealment within 20 feet. Trees 20 feet tall
25-50 feet- 20% concealment, +2 cover bonus to AC
65+ 40 percent concealment, +5 cover bonus to AC, no difficult terrain.

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

A bit larger, but just like the first match otherwise.

I haven't confirmed the results of my match with Duncan yet. Just want to give him the opportunity to make his last post.

Also, So a repeat of the first match only this time with all the tricks being known ahead of time. Well this should be a long one.

Well I also failed to realize that Orion was attacking while using stealth, so while he can still cast and use stealth he can't use attack spells and use stealth. That might not make the fight any easier though.

This time you will also have a map. That first match was annoying me. :)

I have not forgotten about you. I just feel like someone stole some brain cells from me. The map, and the final matchup thread will be up tomorrow.

Who knows? Wouldn't you like to know...

Understood.

What happened to Duncan?

He may have assumed he lost. I will check a few other PbP post and then get the map set ready.

I am trying to make the loss official and to make sure no miracles that place. The game will start on Monday if there is no reply. The map is already made, and so is the post, but it is saved to a word document. All I have to do is copy and paste. :)

Duncan has confirmed the kill. Ready to start this battle.

Yeah, sorry bout that.

It is ok. :)
