Lord Bramwell |
Lord Bramwell struggles against the attached stirges, trying to get them off; he aims at the one grappling his chest and prepares himself for the blow his about to dish out. The next moment, his morningstar strikes the small beast, completely smashing it between the spiked metal ball and the eidolon's chest.

You are pretty sure that to end this you have to kill the ghostly figure or rather its manifestation in form of the flute.

Since Torald had a higher initiative I'll take it as him attacking first, thus the Haunt Siphon gets the kill and thus can now be used as a negative energy grenade.
As Kalina opens the Haunt Siphon it starts to suck the flute into it. As the ghostly instrument gets pulled in the music changes and takes a shrill turn, almost sounding like panic and pain. Shortly before it vanishes into the small phial you believe to see a ghostly flute player, skeletal and clad in a long coat as the instrument is ripped from his hands and with it his only way to affect the living world vanishes.
At the same moment the music stops the skeletons in their cells collaps again into mere heaps of bones.
A ghostly silence once again lies over the prison, only broken by your own panting breaths.
Battle over, what do you do now?
Those who failed the initial save are no longer shaken. Raouls second save still outstanding.
Torald Othric of Griffonstone |
Seemed to be sone kind of ghost. Biut I never heared of ghosts, which create undead
Lyla |
"What's with the music stuff and the bat-things? First the piano, now the flute. I don't get it." Lyla starts walking around the cell block looking for anything interesting.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Cerana Whisperwood |
"Maybe someone has decided to control the striges and found that music was the primary way they could do this. To what ends I don't know." Cerana joins Lyla in looking around, hoping for any piece of this puzzle.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Kalina |
It wasn't j-just the bat things, the stirges, the ghost was controlling undead too. And there were other ghosts too. They got me and Raoul for a little while.
Does anyone need healing? I'm afraid I only have one spell left, but I'll try. And I'm sorry to say, I think I'll need to rest if I'm going to be any help going forward in this horrible place.
Finkmilkana |
While searching the floor you find not much of interest, mostly old bones in closed cells. Near the entrance you entered trough you find a dormer window leading to the roof. In the northern part you see a privy (T3) and a mess hall (T2) leading into the old kitchen (T5). On the southern side you find an area where the guards seemed to reside (T1) and more cells (T6). All those are empty.
You also find one locked, steel door, although the lock seems to be rusted through, so it should be easy to open (T7).
In the middle of the floor are large stairs, leading to the ground level.
Lord Bramwell |
"To be honest, I feel a little sick, but I'll try to open it for you, miss Kalina." Lord Bramwell walks to the steel door and tries to force it open.
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Finkmilkana |
As Lord Bramwell tries to open the he makes little progress at first, but as he keeps pushing it starts to slowly move.
Inside you see a slightly bigger cell-like room, mostly empty and offering no visible comfort.
Slumped against the eastern wall you see a skeleton clad in the typical prisoners robes but also bound by numerous chains who wrap around his body. Affixed to the chains you glimpse weights engraved with different holy symbols.
Lyla |
Lyla pushes Lord Bramwell and walks past him into the cell, eager to take a closer look at the skeleton. She stares at the symbols and tries to figure out what they are. Unsure of the nature of such a special prisoner, she magically scans the cell, chains and what's left of the body.

Lord Bramwell |
As the girl carelessly enters the cell, Bramwell raises his eyebrows and unsuccessfully tries to grab Lyla's shoulder, worried about hidden dangers. "Careful, Lyla!"
Finkmilkana |
The body is nothing special, a corpse as in any other cell. The chains, while heavy and encumbering don't seem to have rooted him in place. Now they just loosely hang over his bones.

Torald, suspicious after the last rising skeletons, uses his detect undead ability.

Torald Othric of Griffonstone |
Lyla, don't move. Some kind of ghost locked in the same chains like this skeleton. I think this is Father Charlatan, a conman who posted as priest of various faiths and tricked people out of their money.
Torald approaches Lyla and tries to sweep Father Charlatan's hand away with his Lay on Hands charged hand.
