For people at the temple, what things/subjects do we want to broach to the father? Aside from getting healed. I have a feeling people aren't posting because we have no idea what we want to ask as a party.

I'm sorry, the end of this week was killer at work, which is when I do a lot of my posting. I asked the father my questions. On the subject of our Con loss, if the father heals Ash to at least 2 points lost and Benedict to 1 point, then using the heal skill will make sure everyone is fully healed after 8 hours of treatment before going to sleep. Obviously, Benedict can't treat wounds and sleep at the same time. I assume we will be visiting the prison tomorrow after sleeping tonight.

Sorry for not replying I'm currently abroad back home in HK for a week or so more. I do have internet and I'll try to keep up and post where I can. I'm not losing interest, just has been hard to post. :)

Hey all, just writing to let you all know I haven't been posting lately because I'm traveling on vacation and both time and internet acess are scarce. I'll be coming back around august 23rd if you'll still have me ;) Meanwhile, enjoy the game!
Kalina |
I am. And I think a couple of others are still in. My last action fizzled, and I'm sort of dawdling while I wait for others.
A suggestion... we move on to the third round, whoever posts in the next couple of days is in. Whoever doesn't is out.
Benedict: 24 init
Cerana: 24 init
Scythe: 19 init (12 damage, +5 Benedict?, +17 Torald?)
Kalina: 16 init
Raoul: 12 init
Torald: 7 init

Current party composition, then, would be:
1. Torald Othric of Griffonstone - Human Paladin of Sarenrae
2. Kalina - Dhampir Oracle
3. Raoul Calvisi - Human Fighter/Rogue
4. Cerana Whisperwood - Elf Wizard
5. Lyla - Half-elf Summoner
Still looks like a solid party to me.
Like I said before, I wasn't able to post through most of August because I was traveling with limited access to internet, but despite this hiatus I'm still commited to this game.
Just sayin'. ;)

Wow, just found out I'm sutck with and eidolon with 6 Con damage that doesn't heal naturally, and there's no way of healing him without magic. Seems extreme, but by the look of it, ability damage is truly an Achilles' heel for the summoner class.
Next time, it's bye-bye Bramwell and hello infernal dog.

Just to give you a heads up:
Tuesday I'll be moving to Taiwan for a year, while that shouldn't affect the game (besides a shift in my posting hours) and while I should have internet from the get-go there are always things that can go wrong.
So don't be overly suprised if I can't post for a few days.
On the issue of the constitution damage (once again the forum didn't tell me there were posts in Discussion, grrr):
Since Father Grimburrow is in the village that shouldn't be a problem, for healing naturally you would need to take a multiple day break either way.
Should he die from it (there isn't that much more with Con Damage here, so this is unlikely) he will return with 1 Con.

I was re-reading the thread and it looks like Cerana and Kalina have 1 potion of lesser restoration each? It would help heal Bramwell's Con damage, since there's no other way. :)
Plus, I couldn't find Kalina's current HP, but if she's as low as it sounds, I'd recommend to go ahead and cast the inflict wounds spell to recover.
Lyla |
Hm, based on the height and weight table, and considering she has the young template, I'd say about 90 lbs - base weight for the race without adding modifiers. It's slightly above to the human average for her age in real life, and female half-elves are just a bit heavier than female humans, so I think it makes sense.

Hey guys, just wanted to inform that on top of a killer week on my job, my fianceé's grandfather passed away this morning and we'll be attending the funeral. Long story short, I won't be able to post for at least until tonight, hope to find some time later so as to not let you guys down. See you later.
Finkmilkana |
I'll most likely not have any chance to post over the weekend.
By the way is Raoul still there? He hasn't posted in some time. (Yes, I know right now you may feel kinda useless, but somehow you manage to always run into the incorporal things without having yet found one of the ways for mundane to hurst them. But to be fair you also haven't really been looking for anything to hurt ghosts etc.)
Finkmilkana |
Well, talking to other people and asking for help would be a way.
Other than that it's just the order in which you do things and visit rooms, that seems to be one of the flaws of this adventure path.
If you don't take the right direction and find the hidden things, your melees are somewhat screwed if you stumble on the incorporeal fights and they haven't prepared for themself.
You could have also given the anti undead gadgets (Holy Water, Haunt Siphon and so on) to the people who can't harm ghosts on their own.
Your overall performance on the other hand actually isn't that bad, you just missed a LOT of your spells etc. and thus had to use most/all of your items which screws every group and thus you are kinda depleted now.
Oh, and by coming through the backdoor and running down the hallway you triggered the piper as first encounter on that level which pulls in almost every other enemy around there, leading to a kinda hard fight.
You should also keep in mind that running from or avoiding fights is also possible. There was no real gain by fighting the Scythe besides being able to access the backdoor (which didn't really help you as the second floor is just (later on required) fighting with no real direct gain in power or information).
Kalina |
It does seem as tho Raoul is gone.
Personally, Kalina has blown all but one of her heal spells attacking undead... and they ALL missed. I shoulda realized for a campaign that was so undead heavy, an actual cleric would be more useful, with some "channel energy" abilities. But it is what it is.
As of now Torald, Kalina, and presumably Raoul have fled, leaving Cerana and Lyla alone on the first floor. Do you *really* want to push ahead right now?
Cerana Whisperwood |
My main problem with going back now is I have a feeling that we will lose out on some stuff not to mention that defenses might be re-shored here as The Way would have no doubt noticed our presence. I also really don't like the notion of 15 min adventuring days myself. Though since I'm outnumbered in that request we can go back.
Torald Othric of Griffonstone |
I'm playing an summoner in another campaign. His Eidolon is the partys qualifies as the partys rogue really well. Especially the "Skilled" Evolution (+8 Racial Bonus) is very good.
