Sorry Solomon. As an Undead, the guy can't be read.

Also, sorry for the delays. Family emergency. My son managed to pop out his shoulder while at camp, and I had to head out by train to go and get him. Which would have been less challenging if the trains actually ran on time, instead of the whole 'lets make a two hour trip take Jon six when he's desperate to reach his kid' system they seem to like. Unfortunately, that means I haven't slept much. Because I sleep in the day and I spent that on a train.

Somehow, I missed the above post. Belatedly, I hope your son is okay, Jon.

Anyway, FYI: I'm in Houston and somewhat affected by Hurricane Harvey. I'm in good shape; here's an update, but the gist of it is that my family and I are safe. Just letting you know in case my posting drops.

Male. Mostly. Human. Mostly. Archaeologist

Not a problem. A hurricane is a most acceptable reason to not post for a bit.

And thank you, my son is fine. It turned out that he'd 'only' badly sprained a muscle, which was yanking his whole shoulder part way out of the socket. Once it calmed down everything went back to normal.

Now we're having to deal with some fallout from the people who were looking after him trying to shift blame to us, however, which is...frustrating and upsetting.

People do so love to involve themselves in things.

I'm also in TX, but Dallas area. We're all fine up here. The Houston coverage has been crazy though. Sounds just about like the whole city is gone.

Male. Mostly. Human. Mostly. Archaeologist

Yeah, it looks pretty rough. One of the reasons why I like the UK is the lack of Mother Earth occasionally deciding to cleanse us. We mostly just get light rain...

Oh, and Earthquakes when I go dancing (true story).

Ether 5 | HP: 22/22 (R:2) | EP: 19/19 (R:3) | AC: 16, T: 14, FF: 13 | Fort: +2, Ref: +5, Will: +6 | R. Touch: +8 (Dmg: 5d3+6) | CMB: +2, CMD: 16 | Perception: +9, Init: +3

I feel like there's a joke here, but I also feel like I probably shouldn't make it...

Male. Mostly. Human. Mostly. Archaeologist

Why not? I do.

Male. Mostly. Human. Mostly. Archaeologist

How's everyone doing? I know a lot of you guys are American, and therefore in danger of being set on fire, hit by water or, in really exciting places, both. Everyone doing OK?

I'm Italian, and it's storm and fire here as well, but I'm alright.

I'm fine here in Houston as we've had great weather, and the waterways have drained back down to normal levels. But my wife works for the Health Department, and she'still working 80+ hour weeks coordinating the refugee shelters, so I'm single dad for our two kids, effectively. Not a lot of free time, although I still check in at least once a day. But the local school district finally opens, tomorrow! That will help occupy the kids from bouncing off the walls.

Thanks for asking!

I should get to this Monday.

Would you prefer it if I do so?

I'm here now. I'll get it done.

So, I'd really like to get healed before we get into another fight, but my IC pleas to Nurai have been ignored thus far.
Does anyone else have healing available?

Female Human (Valkyrie) Warpriest 5 | HP 38/38 | AC: 25, T: 15, FF: 21 | Fort: +8, Ref: +2, Will: +8 | BAB: +3, CMB: +9, CMD: 23, M.Attack +11(1d8+10)| Init: +0 | Perception: +1 | SP: 7/12 | Fervor 0/7

I do, via Channel Energy, but it's a very limited amount (1d6 each channel)

Ether 5 | HP: 22/22 (R:2) | EP: 19/19 (R:3) | AC: 16, T: 14, FF: 13 | Fort: +2, Ref: +5, Will: +6 | R. Touch: +8 (Dmg: 5d3+6) | CMB: +2, CMD: 16 | Perception: +9, Init: +3

Alas, I can only heal myself. Slowly, at that. The Ethermancer has a lot of blasting and a little supporting, but not much else.

Kayal*+ Avatar of Love + Synthesist Shadow Caller Summoner 6 | HP: 48/48 [+54/54] | AC:21 T:15 FF:17 | DR: 7/Magic, Cold+20 Elec+20 SR: 2 | CMD:20 | F:+8 R:+10(8) W:+10 | Perc:+5 | Spells: 1st: 5/5 | 2nd: 4/4

A couple things...

1...our beloved GM has a broken laptop so there will be delays in him posting and answering our characters awkward questions until the new part arrives and repairs are made as no laptop means a significant reduction in the time he can do stuff online. Thankfully, we live with a technomancer so this shouldn't take long once the part is here.

2...Nurai hasn't ignored anything, even if she refused to do so she would be clear about it. I am ignoring things that happen when she is not there though if you think I've missed something you can PM me. I've checked a few times and Solomon has not made any request of Nurai nor made any acknowledgement of previous healing while she has been present. Solomon can't thank, request, or 'bother Nurai for healing' when she is in a different part of the house. She was not around anyone other than her summonings from the time Solomon left that room after she first healed him until the return from the library when Nurai is grabbed which is when she rejoins the group then at that point without much questions or spoken concerns. She assumes Valda will tell her if something is vital and is just going with the flow. Anything said or done during that gap Nurai has no knowledge about if not otherwise informed and any interactions or observations given by the GM where she wasn't could not happened.

And, really, I think the good doctor is smart enough to figure out that bugging Nurai to use her healing wand again without saying anything else is not likely to go down well. She's been pretty snarky about faux pas so far.

AC 17 (t 12, ff 17) -2 bloodrage, -1 enlarged | F+8, R+4, W+7/9 | Init +4, Per +11 HP: 74/74 (+9 when raging) | Bloodrage: 19/19

It can be confusing to keep track of who is in which group when the adventure is spanning seven months, real time. When Solomon has requested healing, did you point out that Nurai was in another room in OOC text? That might be a better practice for PbP play instead of "ignoring things that happen when she is not there."

Human Investigator 7 | HP: 66/66 | AC: 20, T: 13, FF: 15 | Fort: +6, Ref: +8, Will: +10 {+1/+2/+7} | Melee: +5, Ranged: +7 | CMB: +5, CMD: 18 | Init: +2, Perception: +15 <trap spotter> | Insp 8/9 | SP 12/13 | Speed: 30ft

I admit, when we discovered that Nurai was not present for the intended discussion I assume we'd handwave it as happening at the appropriate time rather than pretending it simply didn't happen. But I tried to rectify the situation by posting this, but perhaps it was overlooked or, again, accidentally posted in Nurai's absence?

Anyway, I'll try to be more clear, obvious, and precise going forward.

Human Investigator 7 | HP: 66/66 | AC: 20, T: 13, FF: 15 | Fort: +6, Ref: +8, Will: +10 {+1/+2/+7} | Melee: +5, Ranged: +7 | CMB: +5, CMD: 18 | Init: +2, Perception: +15 <trap spotter> | Insp 8/9 | SP 12/13 | Speed: 30ft

Sorry for not acting, I thought I had.

It happens, especially with these boards.

Hi, gang. I'll be traveling Wednesday through Sunday. I dont expect to really be offline, bit if I miss a day or two, that's most likely why.

Male. Mostly. Human. Mostly. Archaeologist

Not a problem, thanks for keeping us informed. I promise to not horribly kill you while you're.

Horribly killing another party member under the effects of Dominate Person, however...

AC 17 (t 12, ff 17) -2 bloodrage, -1 enlarged | F+8, R+4, W+7/9 | Init +4, Per +11 HP: 74/74 (+9 when raging) | Bloodrage: 19/19

I must hot have been paying attention as closely as I thought while I was travelling. What second glyph is Solomon talking about?

And has anybody suggested ruining the glyph circle in the portal room?

Human Investigator 7 | HP: 66/66 | AC: 20, T: 13, FF: 15 | Fort: +6, Ref: +8, Will: +10 {+1/+2/+7} | Melee: +5, Ranged: +7 | CMB: +5, CMD: 18 | Init: +2, Perception: +15 <trap spotter> | Insp 8/9 | SP 12/13 | Speed: 30ft

It's my understanding that the glyph was a two-parter, and the outer part (which empowered the barrier holding Valda in place) was broken. The inner part (paralyzing her) is still intact.
I may not have understood correctly, however.

AC 17 (t 12, ff 17) -2 bloodrage, -1 enlarged | F+8, R+4, W+7/9 | Init +4, Per +11 HP: 74/74 (+9 when raging) | Bloodrage: 19/19

Thanks.

No, you understood what was happening. Yay me, able to transfer knowledge via the medium of writing!

Don't forget that we'll all get out levels' worth of hit points if we get 8 hours of rest. And if someone has ranks in the Heal skill, we can double that.

Human Investigator 7 | HP: 66/66 | AC: 20, T: 13, FF: 15 | Fort: +6, Ref: +8, Will: +10 {+1/+2/+7} | Melee: +5, Ranged: +7 | CMB: +5, CMD: 18 | Init: +2, Perception: +15 <trap spotter> | Insp 8/9 | SP 12/13 | Speed: 30ft

I think that would require someone to not sleep while tending the others. But if anyone has a first aid kit I can Treat Deadly Wounds on you and Nurai (as I don't see anyone else that will be missing HP after a long rest).

Nothing is ever safe to assume with me.

I have six more uses of channel and no problem with burning them. It's not too effective in combat anyway (argh, multiclassing).

Oh, I misread. I would definitely appreciate that. DR doesn't do anything vs. profane damage. And that makes Jennifer profane. More profane.

Aurora, are you really at 6 hp? Anyway, if we're going down there, I'd definitely want more healing. The die rolls were against me that last battle.

Just the best. :) I can use up my Channel Energy, unless Nurai wants to use up a bit of her wand.

I think the Channel Energy has helped everyone except Nurai's eidolon who unfortunately cannot be healed by Channel Energy or Nurai's wand due to synthesist summoning weird rules as says the GMJon when I asked him.

Sorry Jennifer, totally blanked on that as I was trying to fix something on Nurai's sheet which is why I thought Nurai was being brought up as her number were off and she is by far the less efficient healer with her wand (Summoners only get spells for healing the eidolon which is why I picked up the wand). I edited the post with healing for you...though the dice are still not on your side.
