Without even making a grandiose gesture, the long bearded ax floating Shrike's side snaps to attention like a ready soldier. Grey tendrils of some sort of ethereal presence gather about the spectral ax's broken haft. Then without a sound, the ax if hurtling end over end, carrying with it the malignant memories of injuries it inflicted upon the living.

Pierce quickly lines up a second shot before it could pinpoint his location, his accuracy suffering somewhat due to his haste, but still landing right on target.

As the group move up, even with the fact the have never worked as a team before they seem to instinctively. The thing seems engrossed in its search when all hell rains down on it. Something jumps on its back pulling its tentacle arms back pinning them. Shots at balds come next cutting into its flesh, dark green blood sprays out from gashes and gunshot. The space is filled with the booms of fire arms in an enclosed space.

The thing screams on rage and anger, thrashing about.

The thing looks badly hurt, but as you look you see its wounds start to close up. It's still very much alive and now very angry and you are the sole focus of its anger.

Shrike stares the beast down calmly. Sam refocuses and casts a spell. Golden particles materialize in the air over the creature, outlining its form. The particles appear in the area around the creature, just short of Shrike and Agent Q.

Glitterdust, centered on the creature, anything invisible is outlined, the creature takes a -40 penalty on Stealth checks and must make a DC 17 Will save or be blinded, with the penalty from hypnotic gaze.

Agent L hits the wall but plants his feet on it and uses it to help propel himself back toward the creature. Once back up to it he moves a bit more defensively but tries to grab one of it's many tentacles.

If the creature has an ability that lets it take AoOs while in a grapple, I think I provoked a total of two there. Attacking with the panoply in melee and making a bull rush attempt without the improved feat.

Crushed into the many tentacled embrace, Shrike makes no obvious move to struggle against the unsettling appendages. Instead an unkind looking warhammer, the head a stylized fist, detaches itself from his halo, lines up a shot at Shrike's back and swings with unnatural precision. The weapon passes through Shrike harmlessly and plants the broad head into the center mass of the creature.


The thing slams into Shrike, a many tentacled embrace indeed, pushing Shrike back 1d2 ⇒ 1 feet but Shrike pushes back, slowing his slide, The creature however still has him in its mor, but finds magic under his clothing. Magic Mithral Armor this seems to sting it, making Shrike hard to digest. Then a hammer comes down and slams into its upper body making it halt in it hunger, before it can react Agent L leaps one more onto its back pulling its tentacled embrace away from Shrike.

Sam steps up so she's about 20ft from the creature and takes a shot at the creature with her (Attuned, so I think that makes it magic) pistol.

Seeing Agent Brosnan's plan, Shrike decides to back him up. A broad headed spear peeled out from behind him and went whistling towards the beast's other set of limbs.


The Damage rains down into the best, with your combined hits all at once, its healing cant cope, and its slumps to the floor. There is one last whimper and it then lays still. From deep in the building a keening comes, a sound coming back to its call.

As you come close, the thing starts to devolve, becoming a think black scum on the floor.

End combat, with your magic attacks and DMG done it perished, but somewhere in the building is something the responded to its death cry.

The space is once more still after the booming of guns in such a small area. The thing is rotting before you eyes.

Shrike concentrates for a moment, refreshing the memories of past violences dancing through the halo of weapons arranged about him.

"Alright, that could have gone better," he noted, shrugging out of the ruined remains of his jacket and tossing it aside. Through the torn fabric of his shirt, what appear to be impossibly fine scales of a dull silvery metal shift with each movement.

Without uttering a word in response L pulls and unwraps a thin glass vial from his pack. He walks over to the puddle, bends down, and scoops up some of the thick black scum.

"Agent Brosnan, do you happen to carry any of the silvered rounds on you? My armor is something akin to silver. Agent L, perhaps it would be wise to hold your attempts to wrestle the next one until Agent Brosnan and I can cripple the limbs again. Agent Q, Ms. Korematsu, any other observations?"

I have a silvered knife, but I would prefer to stay out of melee if there are any more creatures like that one." Sam uses a rubber band to tie her hair back. "Agent L, if you're going to start jumping on any strange creatures we come across, with your permission I would like to place a post-hypnotic suggestion on you that may increase your chances of coming out in one piece."

Sam snaps her fingers in front of L's eyes and implants 'Psychosomatic Surge' in him. "Once, when you are injured, that will trigger a release of adrenaline that will stave off death, though it will only last about an hour before fading. The effect is amplified if the wound is mortal."

The trick can be triggered when Agent L takes damage to give him 1d8+3 temporary hps that last for an hour. If the attack would have reduced him to 0 or fewer hp, it instead gives 2d8+3 temporary hp. I have to be within medium range (160ft) to trigger it, but it can be triggered even if it is not my turn.


Over to the side of the room is the large bulk of something with fins.
Brosnan can make out a german swastika on the side of the thing. There also seems to be open parts. The group will have to move closer to know more.

Agent L crouches down and sneaks closer for a better view.


As Agent L comes close to the thing he can see its a block buster, one of the larger bombs the Germans drop on London. But this one is odd, it has grills in it and a black think gloop is seeping out of its onto the floor, there is a large pool in in fact that he is close to.

The other looks on as as they do they see the thing they kill rot even more until its core mass starts to fall away. Its then that they get a shock. For with in that lump of rotting goo the form of a man, head is relieved. Bold and with out clothing, body seeping black good.
