While waiting for a GM to take over our KM game, I've decided to run a mini-AP for my fellow players, four spots are reserved so far.
So I'll be taking two more players.

Players have two options for Character Creation with the information below.

First option is the standard you can create any character using anything within the rules below.
The Second Option is one with spice as it is Gestalt* but....
I as GM will randomly select the race, gender, both classes, and archetypes of the classes, but the rest is under your control with the rules below.

If you don't like your Gestalt result and want to switch back to the first option you can, but at a cost.

*Note:
When I say Gestalt, I mean the Locked-Pair version of the interpretation of the Gestalt rules.
Which means ONCE a class is paired with another class it CAN NOT be paired with a different class later.

-- Character Creation Rules --

Stats: 20-point Buy (NO stats below 10 or above 16 pre-racial)
Traits: 2 (No Rich Parents)
Classes allowed: Core, APG, UC, ACG, but NO Gunslinger, Magus, Occult, Cavalier(or Samurai except by taking only one specific archetype), and Summoner.
Monster classes Allowed but see below
Archetypes Any except those that use content or mechanics from banned classes.
Races Allowed: Core + Assimar, Tiefling, Changeling, Dhampir, Suli and Monster Classes(Listed Below).
Alignments: Non-Evil
Starting Level: 1
Starting Cash: By Class
Starting HP: MaxHD(1st level) +(1/2 die + 1 + Con) per level.
Is 3PP or 3.5 material allowed: No, The Only 3PP allowed is Monster Classes.
Individual or small bundle of Monster classes Linked below.

Monster Classes Allowed*;
Angel,
Archon,
Succubus(redeemed),

Erinyes(Redeemed),
Hill Giant (it'll be modified a bit),
Janni,
Minotaur (or you could re-flavor as Half-Minotaur),
Satyr.
*Requires a good backstory, reason and own or willing to buy the 3PP content.
Also those that use the 3PP with gestalt will have a very high likely hood that the 3PP will be one of the classes randomised in.
And have increased odds of getting selected.

The game will be 4-6 players, but if their is a lot (20+) of submissions I may open a another game (another 3-5 players).
Or if GMs are willing to make groups that's fine.

Since I gave my fellow KM players the options and most wanted Option 2.

I'll use Grumbaki as an example of the randomisation process,
and Only I roll since the dice roller can be cheated some.

Races: 4d20 ⇒ (10, 10, 4, 5) = 29 Human, Half-Elf, Suli, Assimar
Races: 2d20 ⇒ (10, 7) = 17 Human, Half-Elf,
Gender: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8 Female

Classes1: 4d100 ⇒ (58, 12, 32, 30) = 132 Barbarian, Bard, Sorcerer, Warpriest
Classes2: 4d100 ⇒ (69, 4, 40, 67) = 180 Alchemist, Cleric, Fighter, Ninja

Base Result: Female Human Barbarian/Alchemist

Archetypes(Barbarian): 4d20 ⇒ (14, 11, 3, 4) = 32 Brutal Pugilist, Invulnerable Rager, Normal, Urban
Archetypes(Alchemist): 4d20 ⇒ (11, 4, 9, 5) = 29 Normal, Chirurgeon, Normal, Internal Alchemist

Final Result: Female Human Barbarian(Brutal Pugilist)/Alchemist(Normal)

Intrigued. I'd be interested in seeing what I'd have to work with, via the random method, at the very least.

Paizo Employee Organized Play Line Developer

I'm interested, but I have some questions.

What are the four reserved spots going to be playing?

And which adventures are you running through? All the Falcon's Hollow ones? Or just some?

Silver Crusade

Ok, I'm definitely interested and curious. At least this way I don't have to agonize for hours over what classes to gestalt :-).

Definitely picking the random method. Would you please roll me up the basics of the character? Thank you

As I put in the 2nd post most opted for the Randomised method, so you don't know what they'll play until you see it.

I'll be aiming for all the FH modules.

@ All
if you say random method add mention of whether or not your taking the 3PP as I will not be supplying it and if there is any monster class your interested in.

Silver Crusade

Sure, I'll take the 3PP. Not particularly interested (or not interested, for that matter) in any particular monster class.

I don't even have the Monster Class book yet but at $2 I think I can afford to buy it if you happen to roll one up :-)

Part of the fun of this is to take a completely random character and to try and make it work so please roll away :-) :-)

Not particularly interested in either the 3PP or monster class material.

I'd love to see what I can come up with doing a randomized character.

Not interested in buying any 3rd party material currently however, especially with the whole random thing lurking there, and having no idea whether I will like it... but willing to try anything that is available free online. And I do like trying non-core races.

Alright! Interesting combination. :)

Also I can vouch for Zanbabe. A solid roleplayer and frequent poster.

Oh, actually... I see Paula's note that it is only two bucks. I can do that. :) So... open to anything, including monster classes.

The modification is that the mental stat penalties at level 3 and 7 are removed since it does not make sense.

Sacred Fist/Ninja. Okay that could be interesting...

*ponders concept*

Grumbaki--Thanks. :)

Individual classes and small bundles are $2 or $3, the whole collection is $15.

GMs can even use them for lowering powerful monsters to a manageable level for lower level players.

Sorry, another question... are we supposed to have another side to the gestalt that you rolled for us? I think (unless I am mistaken) that Paula and I only have one side. (?)

Monster classes are Races that are BOTH a Race and a Class.

This is why owning the 3PP is required for the Monster classes.
Links to the 3PP are in OP,
as I wanted to make it easy to find the 3PP.

Got it. I was just reading the PDF and starting to realize that it was also a class. Sorry for the confusion. :)

... Looks fascinating and fun so far. I'll try to have something up by tomorrow latest.

No problem,

I recall needing to get my head around that idea when Savage Species first came out

Wow, a game that actually allows an erinyes as a playable race! I've had this character in my stable for a long time, hoping I'll some day get a chance to play her again.

Character synopsis:

A vile ritual.
A stolen heart of a paladin.
A portal to Hell.
A desperate gambit.
The young paladin Ashlyn had been captured and subjected to a horrific experiment. Her still-beating heart had been removed, and a piece of the very essence of Hell put in its place; a surprise for when her beloved found her. And find her he did, and along with his companions thwarted the cabal of devil-worshippers.
But the price of victory appeared to be high, for Ashlyn could only survive as long as the portal remained open. But its presence was too great a threat to leave unclosed, so Ashlyn prepared to sacrifice herself to seal it forever, though her soul would remain on the other side.
But never discount the ingenuity of heroes. Within a circle of protection against evil straddling the portal, they cast a desperate spell -- reincarnate -- just as her beloved pierced her infernal heart with his holy blade.
Never had such a confluence of magics occurred, and never likely will again. What happened was singularly unique. Ashlyn's body was destroyed, and the only essence with which to build a new one was the hell-stuff erupting all around them. The portal then exploded, and scattered the heroes across the multiverse. Their stories are for another tale.
Ashlyn woke up on Golarion, where she discovered something horrific: she was in the body of a fiend -- an erinyes. She radiated palpable evil, though she did not feel compelled to commit evil. Terrified of what she is, yet refusing to let it define her, Ashlyn has to find her place in this world.

Paizo Employee Organized Play Line Developer

Sure, I'd like a random character please. Not interested in 3PP.

Please count me in! I have been wanting to play these, but they're not PFS legal!
I shall begin researching...

Thank you for running.

Grumbaki here. Basic character up.

With mutagen and rage she will have Str25 Dex14 Con14 Int16 at lvl1. Not bad. And the two are a wash for AC... the classes synergize really well. Quite happy.

Will get some Background up. But basic synopsis is a wandering Barbarian Alchemist who is obsessed with finding a “cure” for old age. She has come to falcon’s hollow to learn everything she can from the town’s alchemist, and gets caught up in the quest as a result.

I choose Random Method. Roll me up!

Liberty's Edge

Why not! Please roll for me, Monster classes totally fine too!

Here's a story I wrote detailing her arrival in Golarion. Obviously, details can be tweaked, especially if the DM wants to make the adventuring party within the story the rest of the PCs.

The Arrival:

She didn't know how long she clung to the eaves, terrified, as nightmares circled overhead and screams echoed throughout her mind. Choking fumes rose up from below while coarse wind tore at her, threatening to rip her from the precipice and cast her down into the unknown depths beyond her sight. She could not account for the passage of time; the sky faded from blood-red to bruise-blue at irregular intervals, and her own body failed to show signs of hunger, thirst or exhaustion. All she could remember from before was an awful stabbing into her chest, a tearing of her very being, then the excruciating sensation of being put back together. Then she was cast from a great height, and she slammed into the harsh, unforgiving spire. All she could do was hang on, lest the suffocating wind lift her back up into the swirling zephyrs amongst the grey-winged horrors that circled above, or dash her into the depths below.

Days, months, perhaps years passed. Then the howling winds carried what seemed like words through the ether. Soot blown across the fire-scorched earth, she thought she heard. Listening, she heard it again: Scorched land, dead air. She leaned out, listening closer. Ash-land; distant wind. Closer still.

Ashlyn Farwynd, she heeds the call and finds herself ripped from the harsh spires and suddenly in a dank and decaying building, the smell of mildew and burning candles filling her senses. She reels, pitches as solid, cold stone is under her feet instead of the harsh, burning metal of the-- the place from earlier.
She hears voices, babbling in strange tongues, but she is too confused. She pulls herself to her feet, noting the blood-red gown draped around her, Memory surges, and she remembers -- her sacrificial robes. She looks down, expecting to see the jagged scar from where they took her heart, but there was only smooth flesh between her breasts.

"Behold, fiendish one! I have summoned thee to do my bidding!" she hears in the Infernal tongue, and she peers into the gloom. Robed figures surround her, slightly illuminated by the ruddy candlelight. Diabolic symbols decorate the floor and walls, and she instinctively reaches for a weapon. She finds nothing; she is unarmed and unarmored amongst these chanting figures. Blinking, she unleashes her Sight, and immediately senses the cloying evil surrounding her, but fails to find the fiend of which the speaker had spoken.

"For your service, I present to you this gift: the death of a holy brother of Iomedae!" the central robed figure raises a ceremonial dagger over a helpless figure. Panic seizes her; and though her mind still whirls in confusion, she recognizes what's about to happen.
"No, wait! Stop!" she cries out, holding out her hand and trying to interpose herself between the dagger and the victim. Something holds her in place, yet her voice causes the villain to pause. "Don't!" she pleads.

"This one is deserving of punishment! He has forsaken his vows, and left his place of prayer to indulge in the sins of the flesh," the robed figure gestures at the weeping man below. Confusion again, then a slow, crawling fear in her belly. Everyone was looking at her. "I offer this sacrifice for your aid in the destruction of our enemies! For the service of six days, six hours and six minutes, you shall have his soul! Do we have an accord?"
She felt something tug in her, a desire to accept. But instead, she recoiled, but could go no more than a step away from the proffered sacrifice, her back hitting something as solid as a wall. She shakes her head no in fear.
"You will do my bidding!" shouts the leader, outraged.
"I believe the lady said no," comes a voice from outside the circle. Suddenly, the sound of drawn steel, shouts, and screams. Ashlyn turns and tries to run, but again she is trapped. Strangely, there is nothing holding her, but it felt as if the air itself was a solid wall all around her. She looks down at her feet and sees an inscribed circle, inlaid with silver. Her breath catches as she recognizes the sigils around the perimeter.
In a few seconds, the fighting is nearly over. The leader of the robed figures, clutching his side, limps to her. "Save us! Slay the interlopers! My soul and more if you just--" his plea is cut off by a slice of steel. Ashlyn looks on, horrified.
The newcomers, victorious, begin searching the bodies and systematically dismantling the diabolic imagery decorating the dank chamber. Most of them give Ashlyn and the circle surrounding her a wide berth. Only one steps forward and truly looks at her. His wizened face is one of intense curiosity. Someone asks him out of the gloom, "You're going to banish her, right, Professor? I wouldn't deal with it."
Instead, the professor scratches his chin, and studies Ashlyn's terrified face. "Why didn't she take the bargain, I wonder?" he mutters as he begins to turn away.
"Wait! Please!" she calls out, hammering on the invisible wall. "Can you help me? I don't know where I am. I don't know what's going on, but I'm not what you think I am! I'm a paladin!" she cries.
Scoffs and cries of incredulous laughter come from the newcomers. The older human also looks doubtful as he turns back around. He points to the symbols at her feet. "Do you know what those mean?" he asks calmly.
Ashlyn swallows hard, and nods. "A circle of protection."
"Against?"

Her lower lip begins trembling. "Evil," she says in a small voice.
"If you are a paladin, then you should have no trouble stepping across that threshold." The professor turns to walk away.
She throws herself against the barrier, which stops her just as effectively as before. "Wait! No, this isn't right! I wasn't always like this! I don't know what happened; I was captured, experimented on! Please!" she cries out desperately.
The professor turns back around, regarding her curiously. One of the others asks, "You're not actually beginning to believe her, are you, Prof?"
The older man looks at the speaker for a moment, then back to Ashlyn. After a long pause, he murmurs to himself, "She didn't accept the deal."
The professor steps away for a moment, then returns with a chair. Setting it before the circle, he takes a seat. "Explain."

Ashlyn sits, crossing her legs, and looks him in the eye. She takes a deep breath, sorting her fractured memories, then begins telling her tale. That of a young paladin who had fallen in love with the bravest, most valiant knight in all the land. None could match his resolve, and no evil could withstand his righteous fury. He had saved her from a crisis of faith; one which surely would have caused her own fall. She owed him everything, most of all, her heart. Which was then stolen from her.
The confluence of magics -- hellish energies and vile rituals clashed against the purest faith and something singular happened. Ashlyn survived, somehow, but trapped in a nightmare. She described her confusion and her fear. The professor pointed out her terrible reality -- and what was upon her back. How was she not aware of them before? Horribly beautiful: feathers the color of the choking soot of a burnt forest, broad and powerful. They terrified her even as she was mesmerized by them. The wings of a fallen angel; she was truly one of the Ash Wings, an Erinyes.
But even as Ashlyn broke down with wracking sobs, the professor stood and drew his foot across the circle. He reached out and took her hand, inviting her to step free.

Silver Crusade

As long as its ok with you I'll create an alias if I'm selected

Gwendolyn (Gwen) - Hill Giant Sorceress with Orc and Abyssal bloodlines.

Definitely NOT an optimal combination. But I think the end result is viable

Starting wealth: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10

Background:

In some respects Gwendolyn was quite lucky. When the adventurers who had exterminated her tribe found a baby they faced the age old dilemma. What does one do with the innocent baby of an evil race, a baby who is going to be very tempted by evil when she grows up?

One of the adventurers, Ranalla, a cleric of Cayden Cailean, decided that Gwen deserved a chance of life and brought Gwen to a local temple/bar to be fostered.

In some respects, Gwendolyn was unlucky and would have been better off slain as a baby. Despite the best efforts of the clergy of Cayden, she has never been accepted. If being a Hill Giant wasn't enough her heritage from other races surfaced at puberty. And with that heritage came an immense anger and an innate desire to do evil. A desire that she has tried as hard as she possibly can to fight. With only some success.

A few weeks ago Gwen was being taunted by some yokels. Eventually she snapped and attacked them. Maybe killing one. She isn't sure as she fled before she could find out. And made her way to Falcons Rest.

Personality:

Gwen tries really, really, really hard to be a good person and a devout worshiper of Cayden Cailean. And mostly succeeds. Sometimes the anger can take her, however. And sometimes she has an urge to commit an evil act. An urge that she mostly manages to suppress. Mostly.

She tries to be friendly although often with little success due to others perceptions. If she ever finds a friend she will be loyal to that person to the death.

She does NOT take at all well to mockery.

Okay, I'm not sure I follow, then. I'm not interested in Gestalt -- I'm planning on going straight paladin. Or does the erinyes monster race count as the other half of the Gestalt? If that's the case, I'll go straight Erinyes, then.

Unless I'm really not reading the OP right, and the only way to get a monster race is to do it randomly. If that's the case, go ahead and roll for me... maybe I'll get lucky...(?)

@DM AZ - Are you using background skills?

I'll say yes to Background skills, BUT you must have one; Profession, Perform or Craft gaining ranks each level.
