A REMINDER:
Okay, this is about being oaky -- just kidding. Anyhow, the idea of the campaign is to introduce the new state of the Forgotten Realms. To those looking in to apply for such a game, this game is post Spell Plague Era.
The major gods of the Sundering is more like the original Grey Box in 1987. The Spell Plague was not happily received of most of the Forgotten Realms fan community -- not even myself, although I'm part of the cause for it.
Those that already applied know this. Anyhow, Wizards of the Coast is introducing the Tyranny of Dragons campaign arc to introduce the post Sundering Realms. I thought that this was a bad idea, since the mysteries of the return of Myrkul and Bhaal are not fully answered. So, I thought of tackling an introduction to the new Realms and answering these questions myself.
Why is Myrkul the God of Death, and why is Bhaal the god of Murder?
Many of the heroes think that they will get rid of Bhaal, but we shall see. Bhaal survived death before, and he might do all that he can to prevent such an occurrence again.

*Taps chin* If chosen, I'll see what I can do about integrating my backstory into that, ah, rather important event. XD Honestly, I think dealing with the remnants of the Spellplague could provide some very good motivation for Sariel - something along the lines of dealing with troubled spots, helping put down evil, and generally reminding people that good gods A) Exist, and B) Are actively helpful.

Often, as in making up campaigns? This is the last PbP campaign I'll be recruiting for. My plate is full after this.

Show me both.

Finder definitely survived. Do it, just for fun.

Rednall, I'll be considering each throw in. you're definitely in the top running.

Arcane spells do work. It's like how Ed wanted it in the first place.
Arcane Magic returns, and the Weave is repaired from the Spellplague. We are just starting 5 years after the Sundering.
Wiki articles:
1. The Sundering event
2. Lore

2 people marked this as a favorite. |
Potentially lurker-status dot. I've too many to actually join this, though it sounds cool, in theory.
Hi, MiniGM! Glad to see you! Miss ya, man!
EDIT 2: I'm not actually going to submit a character here! Just to be clear. I'd like to, but I don't have time. :D
EDITed: to be more clear with what I mean. :)

Im thinking possibly a Moon Elven Wizard or Arcanist from Myth Drannor, he has been displaced since it was overrun again and he has been staying with distant family in Silverymoon ever since.
Elton, I think I missed it if you previously disclosed, but where in FR will this primarily be located? Will it be in the classical locations, the Sword Coast, Waterdeep, Cormyr, the Dales, etc? Or is it going to be in some out of the way location like Damara or the Shaar?

Incidentally, have you settled on whether or not the Mythic rules will be used? If so, I'll need to get started on ideas for my Legendary Item, since that would be the first thing to take. XD
Since you will be investigating a crime in your home village, we aren't going to use the Mythic rules.

No Bug EltonJ, I ahdnt written it yet.
In any event the outline is there, it is not particularly well written I am afraid, but I think tha is the core, a bit of a rough and tumble Cleric. I am not married to the Construct Domain yet...I think it is interesting and could be really versatile.
I have spent some of the gold, but have more to spend.

Okay, Gambit, this is why the hybrid classes are not allowed:
All of the options can be fulfilled by an Archetype or a prestige class.
-- Archetypes
* All of the archetypes for the classes allowed are approved. Although the person that invented "Eclessithurge" should be lauded for inventing a new English word, but I think there might have been a term in English that might have been much more simple. :)
* The Feats have been approved, although I admire D&D 5th Edition's list greatly. :)
* The spells: I'll have to consult a friend on them.

Stolen from his home by pirates at a young age (so young, in fact, that he doesn't even remember his homeland), he was auctioned off to slavers from sembia. Raised to work as a greeter in the house of a powerful merchant, Jasper finally found a chance to escape when adventurers attacked the merchants house. Begging a chance to travel with them and learn their trade, they eventually relented and in Jasper found a powerful ally, as it was around this time that his innate ability to call thunder began to appear.
Training with the group's bard for a while, he eventually learned to control the thunder within him as well as how to use his words to inspire others.
Parting ways when the group broke up (after the death of their leader to a beholder), Jasper finally decided to persue his origins, where he discovered that he was the descendant of Deidre Kendrick, the last known Chosen of Talos, the god of destructive storms.
Disgusted with the gods in general and evil gods such as Talos in particular, Jasper decided to devote his life to unraveling the schemes of cultists and heretics everywhere.
When the call went out for adventurers to stop the cultists of Bhaal, Jasper did not hesitate.

Here is William Fansbury.
He is an Inquisitor with trapfinding, with a pretty good disable device, Perception, and Stealth. Take it or leave it.
