Zeylud shook his head and rubbed his temples. "This is starting to get a little ridiculous, yes? It's gonna be risky beyond Corellian hell to do and pull off. Our faces will be listed in the Imperial databank for sure as wanted criminals. Possibly also the rest of the galaxy if only for show. Any masks in that crate as well?" he asked curiously.

Nebten's Sheet

"I'm sure the Imp's have half of the galaxy in their databanks as criminals for something or another anyways.

"I'm wondering if it would be easier to just go back, get the ship, flying in, assault the palace then fly out. Because we arn't going to be able to zip back to the docking station with a garrison on our heels."

Zeylud scratched his head a bit "Hmm...we could always kill him? Metaphorically I mean. Slip something in his drink, induce a near death like state. Though I doubt I have such means at present." he said feeling that his offering was perhaps a bit silly given that the means were not in their hands.

"Could we cook something up on site? they must have a kitchen, cleaning drones and medical drones."

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Kutishek and the rest of you can see on your public maps where the main kitchen is and where they store the cleaning droids. There is also a small medical facility on the estate, but it is away from the main manor.

"Well," Caleb says after looking at the map for a few moments, "if the skill is present but not the means, perhaps this medical facility over there? It is small, I grant you, but it should be stocked. Although a bit away from the manor, it is there to keep the rich and powerful in good health. I expect no expense would have been spared."

Preservationist Alchemist 1 | HP 8/8 | Fort 3, Ref 5, Will 1 | AC 17/14/14 | CMD 11/8 | Perc +7 | Init +3

Zeylud shrugs a bit "I can only assume that I could, it was an idea. I wouldn't mind a back up though. But as soon as we get to the manor I'd be more then happy to see what I can come up with. If I need to, I am sure that I can excuse myself and run off to the medical facility." he said as he looked at the map.

Preservationist Alchemist 1 | HP 8/8 | Fort 3, Ref 5, Will 1 | AC 17/14/14 | CMD 11/8 | Perc +7 | Init +3

Zeylud not hearing much from the others on that front began to make his way to the medical wing of the manor. He'd have to do a bit of work if he wanted this to come out right and some of it wasn't in his field of expertise.

What's my difficulties good sir.

Ifrit

Kutishek will follow the doctor, a weapon concealed in an easy place to draw.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

and we're back...I am presuming you have dressed for the part...

As you approach the medical facility housed on the manor grounds, you notice that most of the party's guests are mingling closer to the main manor house. A few small breakout groups have taken refuge in the gardens or by the pond. When you arrive at the front door of the medical facility, a medical droid scans each of you.

"Ah.. Dr. Zeylud and associates. We have been told of your arrival. The lab is open to you. If you should require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask."

The droid leads you inside. Most of the facility seems to be a giant triage area with many droids at the ready to administer aid for small aches and pains while actual biological sentients are reserved for the more major needs. In the back however, things change. This appears more to be a research lab than any sort of medical lab. There are vats and tubes and even what appears to be a zero-G generation room. You are taken to a chemical laboratory filled with all manner of medicine and other implements of biomedical equipment. As the door closes behind you, another holoimage appears.

"Greetings friends. This first part was easy enough. Don't fret the Imperial presence. Should this go off as I know it will, the embarrassment will be all theirs. I've been monitoring you since you arrived and your plan seems sound enough. The lab is ready for whatever you're going to concoct. Good luck and see you soon."

Medicine Hard (3) with a free Boost die.

Ifrit

"could we create a diversion here? Perhaps a containment leak?"

Preservationist Alchemist 1 | HP 8/8 | Fort 3, Ref 5, Will 1 | AC 17/14/14 | CMD 11/8 | Perc +7 | Init +3

Zeylud raised a brow as he listened to the holoimage. "I'm getting a little worried that if he can overhear us so easily, then who knows who else might be listening in." he said as he began to mumble to himself looking over the ingredients.

He raised a brow looking at Kutishek "[b]Hmm, falsifying a bioagent alert? I don't know if I would agree with the idea. It might cause a lockdown and then we'd get stuff or have extra screening placed upon us as we try to evacuate."

Medicine Hard check: 1d8 + 2d12 + 1d6 - 3d8 ⇒ (5) + (4, 4) + (6) - (5, 8, 3) = 3

Used a Light side point to upgrade given that this is our main bet. If I am not mistaken...4 success, 2advantage vs 3 failure, 2 threat so 1 net success

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Looks about right to me...

Dr. Zeylud spends some time working on a poison that will temporarily cause a death-like state in the subject and an antidote to safely revive the subject. After an hour, he finally has it.

1 Light, 7 Dark remain... time for the Force to balance itself...be ready..

Ifrit

"so how do we deliver the toxin?"

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Zeylud gets to choose one vector: inhaled, injection, or absorption.

Preservationist Alchemist 1 | HP 8/8 | Fort 3, Ref 5, Will 1 | AC 17/14/14 | CMD 11/8 | Perc +7 | Init +3

Hmm, absorption

Zeylud finished the toxin and smiles "Well, it will be absorbed through the skin. It should be fine for one of us to put inside a glove and simply take it off when shaking hand with our benefactor then a few minutes later and dead man." he said as he puts the antidote safely away. He put the toxin on the table for now.

He looked at the rest of them. "Now all we need to do is put a subroutine in the droids to ignore this toxin as a possibility and I will be nearby for when he goes down and rush him from the room once the med droids determine he's dead."

"So," Caleb remarks after watching the doctor work, all the while keeping an eye on the doors, "anyone who knows how to reprogram a few droids? Or is that one of your talents as well, Doctor?"

If you are going to reprogram the med droids, the difficulty will be Hard (3P) and you will have to convince them to shut down to do so. The basic ones will be Average (2P), the head med droid will be (2P1R).

What would be needed for convincing them? Charm, Negotiation? Or any one of the "face" skills depending on the way we try to do so?

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Any one you would like to use. How you go about it may have different consequences, depending on the skill used.

"So," Caleb starts, addressing the medical droids, "this man here is a doctor, as I am sure you have concluded already. Not only that, but he is also well-versed in the workings of medical droids such as yourself. Perhaps you would allow him to take a look at your programming, even upgrade it? I am sure he has a new medical technique or two he would be happy to share with you in such a manner."

As the words leave his mouth, even he is hard-pressed to believe them.

Deception 00/GG Vs. Difficulty Average/PP: 1d8 + 1d8 - 1d8 - 1d8 ⇒ (4) + (5) - (3) - (6) = 0 [2 Successes, 1 Advantage, 2 Failures, 1 Threat -> Nothing]

Well, since noone else is giving it a shot...

Savage Rifts RotRwT

If the droid could show actual emotion, you are certain that it would have its eyebrows raised and give you and incredulous look. "Sir, I do not believe that the knowledge of biological functions is relevant to the intricate and specialized programming that I require to function at my peak efficiency. I apologize, but even I would not attempt such an activity without the proper programming."

With that, you hear some commotion outside the medical facility. It sounds like an argument is occurring.

"I don't care what he said, I'm gonna...'hurp'.. I'm gonna go in there and find that captain and give him what for. Take my..'hurp'.. take my money will he..."

"Sir, you appear to require medical attention. Your words are slurred and your balance appears to be impaired. Perhaps a mild sedative to help you calm..."

"I don't need no blasted sedative!! Let me through!!"

You then hear the crash of machinery and other equipment somewhere inside the medical facility.

Taking his eyes from the medical droid -and actually more than a little grateful for the interruption and the diversion- Caleb turns to move towards the door.

"I think we should. Doctor, care to join me? Perhaps there is someone requiring your ministrations from the sounds of it."

Zeylud shrugs a bit and grabs a sedative just in case as he steps out into the hall. He goes out with a bit of a flourish of anger and frustration. "WHO THE HELL AND WHY THE HELL IS THERE A COMMOTION OUTSIDE A MEDICAL STATION, HAVE YOU NO DECENCY!!!

Would like to attempt a Coercion check, what would be the difficulty for this person?

Savage Rifts RotRwT

And I was beginning to think we lost everyone... Coercion difficulty for this drunkard is PPR(after spending a Dark Destiny, putting you at 2 Light and 6 Dark).

In the hallway you can see a man dressed in somewhat tattered Imperial officer's garb looking very disheveled pushing his way through the medical attendant droids. It is obvious from his appearance he has been off duty for some time: unshaven beard, messy hair and unclipped fingernails.

Perception PP 1 success:
You notice that on his neck there are a few purple colored streaks.

Perception PP 2 successes+:
You also notice that there the same streaks on his hands and in his eyes.

damn I know that is a total failure

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Zeylud nets 2 threats with that Coercion roll, earns himself a setback regarding further interactions with the crazed Imperial officer.

As if attempting to shake off whatever Zeylud tried to press on him, or perhaps something else, the disheveled Imperial suddenly begins frothing at the mouth and charges towards Zeylud!

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Wow! Nice rolls... Not even gonna worry about what Zeylud gets for init...

Kutishek distracts the man long enough for his cousin to come behind him and give him a big Wookiee Hug and hold him still enough for Zeylud to get a sedative in him, if he so chooses...

Preservationist Alchemist 1 | HP 8/8 | Fort 3, Ref 5, Will 1 | AC 17/14/14 | CMD 11/8 | Perc +7 | Init +3

Zeylud does so choose to give him the sedative. He may have even overdone it a tiny bit.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

The crazed Imperial officer seems to be fighting the effects of the sedative that Zeylud gives him, but the strength of the Wookiees holding him takes the fight out of him. Eventually he succumbs and is put into a relaxed state. He will need to be carried anywhere and is only partially aware of anyone talking to him. The purple veins in his neck start to subside as well.

Zeylud shrugged "[b]Try to convince the droids in there that that patient is priority one while me and the wookiee go check on our host?[b]" he offered as he started to head off.

Savage Rifts RotRwT

One of the droids waits for your conversation to finish and then chimes in. "It appears that this is not an isolated incident.". A holoimage appear in front of the droid. It is your patron. "Gentlemen, slight change of plans. Someone has smuggled some very bad stuff into my compound through the Imperials and it has started a ruckus. My plan will not be able to go as I had thought. The party is over and the Imperials are already sending troops into the compound. New plan, get to your ship. I'm sending coordinates to that medical droid for us to meet later. Take him with you, you'll need his database. Now go!! The image winks out and as if to emphasize his statement, one of the assistant droids speaks out.

"Oh dear, the Imperials are headed this way!"

"Best laid plans and all that," Caleb remarks, though he does doubt if their plan would have worked all things considered. Still, it appears there is little they can do now.

"Shall we?" Without waiting for an answer he begins to lead the way to the ship, keeping his eyes open for any trouble along the way.

Ifrit

"indeed we should make ourselves scarce. No doubt some up and coming junior officer would save himself a lot of paperwork if a pair of wanted wookiees were found here."

Savage Rifts RotRwT

Said junior officer appears in the field just outside the medical facility, leading a group of Imperial Army soldiers. These are not the normal stormtroopers, but green uniformed men with blasters and helmets.
