Ezrek nods in agreement with Hugo. "I too, am low on inventory. In fact, I have used my supply of bombs. I have a few extracts left, and I have my mutagen. I think I will drink it now."

Drinking his mutagen, Ezrek glances at the party. "I have extracts of diplacement, stoneskin, and two of shield, as well as one for striking true. I don't think Savage ever used my enlargement extract either."

does the red robe look exactly like the one the person outside is wearing? Not sure who in our group can look most like him. I have a hat if disguise too .

The guy outside is in a suit of leather armor, not the entire Red Raven costume.

It would be a disguise check to play the Red Raven, it would seem to be that the people outside do not realize their victim is the Red Raven.

Samhain nods and touches the quiver with his wand right before the door opens.

Ok, so it's all clear. The Red Raven is the people's hero of Galt. He's generally loved in the nation. If you can manage to convince these people that you are the Raven, you should be able to talk them into stuff. This will require some bluff and diplomacy to pull it off, but could potentially avoid the combat altogether.

Grand Lodge

Elf 63517-2 NPC Venture-Captain of the Lodge in Bellis, Verduran Forest

Aye, we could avoid it. I think we're just getting contingency plans in place in the event of terrible rolls.

Grand Lodge

since none of us are true face characters, bad rolls will likely make the difference. Samhain, you have a slightly better diplo than Hugo. He can assist if you are willing or he can do it but assists are probably needed even with the disguise .

Grand Lodge

Elf 63517-2 NPC Venture-Captain of the Lodge in Bellis, Verduran Forest

I keep forgetting my Diplo is that high. Shame I didn't boost bluff as well with my rogue levels. I get a +6 to bluff humans. Ah well. I suppose I can try to diplomacize. Just don't try to disguise me first. The ears may give it away.

"Samhain, if you want to do the talking, I can still wear the outfit and bluff our way in with my hat of disguise. Tell them to release the man at the request of the Red Raven, me. I will support you and see how we do. Plan B, we need to get him out of there in a hurry before the mob or blade gets him first."

Assuming he agrees, Hugo will use inspiring word on Samhain (+2 skills and attacks for 3 rounds). Hugo will then walk into the courtyard and annouce

"Hail Citizens of Galt from your Champion, you have the wrong man."

Hmmm, how to not bluff while also keeping the secret identity.

Being very uncomfortable, Samhain speaks up. "The Hero of the People is here before you! He knows better than most the good this man has done for the people of Galt! You do not know this prisoner's accomplishments, but the Champion of Galt sees what is done in secret! Release him now into the custody of the Raven! If there is any guilt in him, it will be discovered. If there is not, then would you truly risk sullying your hands with the blood of an innocent?"

"I think that may be best." Samhain is eager to find out just what the hell this man was doing in the lodge and assassinating a Venture-Captain. He still can't believe any of these claims others have bantered about.

You all head back through the secret passage and back into he Cavern that is the Raven's lair.

Upon seeing the slain spellcaster your prisoner exlams "Geppa! You didn't need to die to protect me. I'll have someone bring you back. ". Then seeing the Phoenix no longer in Raven form, he will turn to you, "I see, you've destroyed the ring. I suppose that is a mercy. The proud beast didn't deserve to be but a servant. Well enough of my observations, what is it you want me for? I'm should have expected that the Pathfinder Society would send along agents capable of making me pay for what I've done. Perhaps the problem is you don't really know what I have done, or what the person I killed did more to the point. "

Grand Lodge

Male Half Elf Cleric-16/ Ranger-1 (HP 157/157; AC:25, T:14, FF:22; Fort:+18(+20) Ref:+14 Will:+22; Init+5; Perception+28) {i} {0/11 channels used, 2/3 rod-q, 0/3 rod-x, 0/32 hops, 0/11 inspired word +2, pyrex 0/1 might 0/1 } {fly, death ward, prot evil circle, resist fire 30/50min }

Hugo removed his disguise

"yes, there have been grave losses on both sides. It is best you tell us the whole story. We can determine your fate after the truth is heard ."

He will explain that Hestram assassinated Teppin Montrose who was one of the Decemvirate. He is also planning to kill more of them so that the Shadow Lodge can take over the Pathfinder Society.

He is able to offer evidence of these claims as well as a map of the Maze of the Open road which shows the location of various portals.

The way this is summed up in the module is rather less than clearly written.

Ezrek shakes his head. "I didn't know the man all that well, but I still find this all too much to believe. How did you come by the evidence and why do you care about the Pathfinders?"

Now you are asking questions which are not really answered in the module.

"I knew Montrose when he was alive, and we were friends. Only after his death did I learn he was of the Decemvirate. Honestly I don't much care about you Pathfinders. I do, however, care about someone assassinating my friends. "
In addition there is an Andoran contact in the estate above who can confirm the information about Hestril being the assassin and being in the Shadow Lodge.

"Agreed, we have our current friends condition to remedy and then whatever we can do to see justice served. Just out of curiosity, why were you to be executed by the mob? Are there more murders that we should know about besides Hestram?"

Grand Lodge

Elf 63517-2 NPC Venture-Captain of the Lodge in Bellis, Verduran Forest

"And would you be willing to present this evidence to the other Venture Captains, the ones who also saw your deed done at the Lodge? They, too, suspected something was amiss with the man."

"Since I'm still your prisoner, I'm a bit short on options. Nonetheless, I wouldn't have objections to making sure the guilt of that foul miscreant was better known. "

Once you get back to the lodge, you can get Savage raised.

No reason to leave you hanging while I'm gone. Here's the conclusion section:

Eliza and Osprey leap to their feet the moment the servants bring you into the Lodge’s Great Hall, where the Red Raven first attacked Adril Hestram and drew you into this mess. Both have been nervously awaiting your return.
“You’re back!” exclaims Eliza, her face lighting up with a bright smile. “I trust you tracked the murderers to their lair?”
Osprey steps forward. “Well,” he says expectantly. “What have you learned?”
Osprey and Eliza ask as many questions as necessary to determine the nature of Adril Hestram’s plot against the Decemvirate. It’s up to the players to piece together the mystery using their handouts and what they have learned during the course of the adventure, but you may find it helpful to have these NPCs ask leading questions that help the players make key connections in case they have difficulty understanding what is going on.
At the very least, Eliza and Osprey should end this encounter knowing the following:
1. Adril Hestram is a traitor to the Pathfinder Society and is associated with the Shadow Lodge (which the PCs now know is real).
2. Adril and his agents murdered Teppin Montrose and have targeted four more venture-captains (presumably members of the Decemvirate themselves) for execution.
3. The Shadow Lodge knows the location of the Decemvirate members it plans to kill.
4. The Red Raven has a map to Maze of the Open Road portals leading to these locations.
Whether or not Adril Hestram survived the Red Raven’s attack in Act 3, Eliza has confined the venture- captain (or his body) to the guest room at area L15. Following the PCs’ report, Osprey and Eliza know that Adril is well and truly a traitor. They invite the player characters to accompany them to Adril’s Room for a final confrontation, only to discover that Hestram has vanished
Where he’s gone, and what plans he still has in store for the Pathfinder Society, will be revealed in future installments of the Eyes of the Ten campaign arc.

You will be getting a chronicle sheet which gives you 0 XP, 0 prestige, but 23237 gold. This is now a between module pause so you can do all the normal stuff (buy things, rez, etc.).

Ok, once again you start in the Woodsend Lodge (in Galt).

You are briefed by Eliza.

Eliza Petulengro welcomes you to Woodsedge Lodge’s meeting room, still undergoing repairs after the Red Raven’s assault. She motions for you to have a seat. The red-haired woman mutters an arcane incantation under her breath and gestures deliberately at the doors and windows, then sighs heavily, nods to herself, and looks up at you.

“As you know, the very fabric of the Pathfinder Society is under attack. Though your efforts were instrumental in protecting this lodge and a member of the Decemvirate, our task is far from done. You are already intimately involved in this affair, so it falls to you to see it through. Secrecy is of the upmost importance in this regard, so rather than involve more people in this embarrassing debacle, we trust you to take care of everything. These are among the most momentous events in our organization’s long history, and our very survival depends on your success.
“What I ask of you now is even more dangerous than your previous involvement, but I trust that you will not let the Society down. I need you to return to the Maze of the Open Road and discover what you can about Adril’s use of the portals within to further his devious plans. Find Condria, the Maze’s medusa guardian, and gather from her any information you can on Hestram’s recent comings and goings in the Maze. While we have a general idea of who his targets are, we don’t yet know how or when he plans to assassinate them.
“Should you discover any hints as to the identity or location of his next target, do not delay in travelling there and ensuring his or her safety. May the gods be with you; if they don’t favor your efforts, the Pathfinder Society is doomed.”
