urgh, sorry guys. I just notice that the initiative is completely wrong. Since I don't want to write it again, bear with this only for this combat. I've updated my notes to fix it for future reference.

Narrative-

Many-of-monstrous-legs seems really pissed off and enraged by the many attacks. it changes its targets from the innofensive Taurven to the big thing Karla, and attack with savage fury.

Atk 1 | PA: 1d20 + 17 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 17 - 4 = 26
Dmg: 1d6 + 8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 8 = 18

Three of it’s many legs pierce the woman thru her armor and immediately, the thing tries to drag her under it’s body.

Unable to resist the creature, Karla is dragged and grappled beneath it, as the other spider-like legs immediately start to crush her into its embrance.

Karla is hit by three attacks, plus the constrict damage, for a total of 74 damage. You guys are up, intentions?


Karla scowls, then curses, then screams as the many legs stab at her with uncanny precision.

Nevertheless, the fiercest servant of Torm doesn't go down so easily, and she curses her companions to action: "Get me out of here! Stab at it! Torm is watching!"

Karla's muscles bulge and strain as she uses every ounce of her strength to break free of the creature’s grasp.
However, while moving away, she expose her back allowing it to be take advantage of.

With deadly precision and malice, the creature pierces again her already hurt body and just like that, suddenly it’s too much for the warrior, she falls there, trying to get away. The creature just fling her limp body aside.
Karla falls with -3 hp. Please roll your stabilize check.

Anger. That’s all her companions can feel, and with that anger, they attack. Deadly, devastating attacks.
Eamch and Garmagal. Arrows and Shurikens.

Black blood is spilled and the create hows in pain and agony.
All attacks hit.

But even then, the monster doesn’t die.
What it takes to put down such terrible creature? Is Taurven capable of finishing it?

"Dam-!" is all Karla can say before blood fills her mouth and she crumples to the webbed floor, her face frozen in a scowl directed at Taurven.

Resigned with their ill fated luck. The half elf attacks without putting all of his effort behind it. Taurven slashes at the monster in front of him, cutting at the center of the creature, between the many legs and… surprisingly enough, it twitches and contorts not unlikely a spider being killed.
It lays there in the webbing floor, twitching until it finally stops, dead.

Gz, out of combat. Intentions?

Seeing the thing of too many legs go down, Taurven quickly crouches beside Karla. He softly sings a song of healing, while placing his hand on the worst of Karla's wounds.

Taurven uses the spell as excuse to feel some of the warrior’s woman body before casting the spell healing the worst of her wounds.

@Karla: The darkness fades and in its place comes the pain. The pain of having several holes in your body, the pain of knowing you weren’t strong enough to survive the monster on your own.

Karla bursts out of unconsciousness with glaring eyes and reaching hands. When she takes in her situation, she bursts out laughing, her voice cackling like metal: "HACK! HACK HACK! HACK! HACK! First time something brings me down since His revelation! Praise Torm, I'm alive still! HACK! HACK HACK! HACK! HACK!"

You find in the creature’s lair a small silver cube icon among the rubble. There’s nothing else other than rest of other creatures eaten over the years.
The monster lair, although always immersed in the darkness effect, can make a very safe place to rest or hide, if there’s need to it.

You continue following the spider tunnel. You walk for more than half an mile, until you find something different again.
The passage ahead seems to have been torn apart by powerful forces—it looks crumpled in sections, and the floor is uneven, with cracks that let a breeze through. You realize that the corridor ahead is an intersection, and part of the ceiling is missing. You see webs, hundreds of them, in all directions above you.

"This could be an ambush... Eamch, you go first, with Taurven. Gargamal stays back, and I will follow a short distance."


Eamch nods at Karla's direction. He pulls out a wand, casts a spell on himself, then starts to move forward. With hand signals he'll coordinate the advance with Taurven, deferring to the other's keen observations if he senses anything.

"No idea what the cube does... Let's not stay here. I don't like those up above our heads. I say we take left right now." says Karla as she keeps an eye on the web.

Eamch nods in acknowledgement of Karla's suggestion and starts down the passage with Taurven.

Sword in hand, Taurven moves to the left along with Karla and Eamch. He stays alert for danger; eyes searching, ears listening, even paying attention to changes in the smell of the place.

Left of map, or left of your character? Or left considering where you came from? Kinda hard to know where you want to go. Please move your token to the entrance of the path you want to follow.

Taurven inspection of the cube reveals no new secret. But for some reason it feels the cube is some sort of key. To what door that is still left to discovery.
Looking around, the half elf notices nothing new in the passageway, but above them, in the broken ceiling, he thinks he saw some sort of flying creature moving about. Not really sure about it. One thing is certain, whatever it is, the monster is happy to ignore anything inside the tunnel.


"Left I said..." and Karla points to the corridor to her left.

@Taurven: I agree, however when deciding a direction, the players said left. Got me confused where to take you.

The web-tunnel continues for about half a mile until it open into an expansive natural cavern apparently serves as a major anchor for the Demonweb. Below an intricately carved basilica roof stands a three-towered obsidian-carved citadel surrounded by a web-filled chasm. The highest tower reaches three stories and is surmounted by an open turret.

You know not what is the purpose of such place, but it’s evident by the size, the condition, that it’s an well-guarded and manned fortress. Impossible to break by force with the four of you alone.

Karla looks at the fort from a comfortable distance and shrugs: "Right. So we head back and take the next passage?"

If all agree, we take the passage following this one.

Deciding not to push their lucky, the invaders backtrack and return to the room.
Taking the next passage leads them into the same web-tunnel-corridor that seems to be the travelling roads in this plane. The group walks closer to half mile when they happen into a decision:

The path right seems to be leading down, while the path to left seems to be leading up.

Even in the darkness ahead and above, Taurven notices something approaching.
The corridor is heavily webbed but the space itself opens up a bit. You think you can see the webs clearing just a little way ahead—and then the web shivers and shakes.

The way ahead of you is blocked by a huge abyssal touched spider.

It's a normal corridor, the spider is huge, 30fts away, you all can act before the enemy. Intentions?


"Enough time wasted with brutish spiders!" complains Karla, not wanting to go through curing prayers once more if she can help it.

Asking Torm to judge this evil beast, she unleashes His wrath upon the abyssal spiders as a shower of silver sparks course over the spider's body.

Holy Smite for 5d8 ⇒ (5, 8, 3, 8, 1) = 25 damage and blinded for one round; Will save DC 18 for half damage and no blindness.

Then with a wicked grin, she advances, sword drawn, on the spider.


Eamch takes a step closer to the massive spider, eyeing it closely. One hand slips inside his coat as he does so. He has a hard time finding any spots that appear vulnerable on the otherworldly creature, but he flings an array of shurikens at it anyway. He resists the urge to flee when the shurikens don't seem effective, and one of them even deflects off of its carapace and off into the webs!

Swift action to exploit weakness 1d20 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 5 = 17 vs. DC 10+CR. I doubt that will beat it, but he'll attack anyway.

Karla takes the opportunity to gets closer while Taruven tries to pierce the woman’s eye.
Eamch send forth several more shurikens and Garmagal attacks from a distance.

Just you know, hand wave the result.

The spider flails about, blind, trying to hit an enemy it cannot see. Arrow and swords, the huge vermin is cut off little by little and in some moments, there’s no more spider other than its dead carcass filling the tunnel.

From the whole created by the monster, you notice there’s another tunnel passing right above you.

The tunnel you are now leads in a path North-South. The tunnel above seems to present a path East-West.
