Way of the Wicked Campaign

51 to 100 of 132 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | 3 | next > last >>

This is Pedwiddle's entry into the mix. I decided to change the focus stat from Str to Dex - didn't make much difference, but I slightly prefer it this way.

Thanks for your consideration, and if you have suggestions, feel free to let me know.

Focus: CHA
Foil: WIS

STR: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 -1
DEX: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 -2
CON: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 +1
INT: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 +0
WIS: 8 -2
CHA: 18 +17

-3 +1 -2 = -4 + 17 = 13pts (Not factoring in +2 Racial)

Character from another game. Oh man.. those rolls, (13pt buy!) This will be interesting.. (stats aren't everything!!)

Will need to do some edits.

Brief History of Tarkhan Alp-Baghatur.

hide:
The Strasnaja-Arda came to Talingarde in four long ships, brimming full of hobgoblin warriors who had heard of the wealth of Talingarde and thought it a ripe land to plunder. They had thought Talingarde would be weak and unprepared - they were wrong.

The warband had been led by a particularly fierce Hobgoblin from the frozen lands North of the Steaming sea named Iscuda Alp-Baghatur. Declaring himself a khan, he won many swords to his side promising bounty, land, and spoils.

The invaders ships landed along the coast of Talingarde at night and established themselves on the island. Intending to stay, the hobgoblin army at once began the construction of a fort. Initially Talingarde was either unaware or unconcerned about the hobgoblin force that set itself in the remote region of the island, but that all changed when Khan Iscuda ransacked a remote monestary and its surrounding community. The would-be warlord and the majority of his band never made it back to the fortress.

The knights of Talingarde swept down on the warband like a hammer striking an anvil. The hobgoblins fought back ferociously, presenting a challenge to the enemy, but their God and knights proved too much. Furthermore, One of Iscuda's honorguard by the name of Kajärd, turned sides in the battle and betrayed his leader, his warband and his kind.

Kajärd led the knights back to the fortress where the small garrison of hobgoblins made their last stand. It was in no means a heroic one. The hobgoblins to their credit fought to the death and all would have been slain had an inquisitor along with the knights not wanted one of their number to stand trial (ceremonially at least, for no court would find them innocent) for this act of High Treason against the crown.

The turncoat Kajärd once again proved useful to his new masters, revealing Tarkhan Alp-Baghatur as the son of the would-be conqueror Iscuda Alp-Baghatur. One of the Paladins of Talingarde halted the death of Tarkhan, saving him from a death on the battlefield so that he might instead answer publicly for the crimes of his father, his warband, and himself.

The trial was short. Tarkhan never denied his intentions. Never begged for mercy. He had been denied a warriors death, he would at least go to execution free of cowardice.

Description and History of Rosa Luminess:

Rosa Luminass LE Cleric of Asmodeus.

Rosa remembers a time of rooms and play, in the house of her farther, there nana would look after her and tell her story’s of the world outside. Rosa knew she could not go out, it was a bad thing and if ever her father found her close to a door or shaded window, he was be very angery. Life was sunbeams for shuttered windows, play and sleep. The servants had a party for her, and nana gave her a new dress, rosa had just put it on when her Farther game. He told nana he needed rosa to come to his work shop and that she had to stay, nana was very upset, but Rosa went with her Farther. The room was big and rosa looked at all the books and bottles. A strange Patten had been made in the middle of the work area floor. Some thing was there, a monster, Rosa was not scared she had seen her father with Monsters before. Monster Held out its hand, “You come with me now” it said, Rosa looked at her Farther who just nodded, Rosa held her hand out, the Monster smiled, “The deal is done, you have want you wanted “ there was a flash and Rosa was in a hot place, all around Monster walked and worked, The one holding her hand held out a metal collar he placed around her neck. “You is slave now, you work here, carry and do fast or pain” he placed a drinking jug in her hands and her mind fogged over. Time passed, she worked with others like her in a great tent made of skin and bone. Sleep, eat work, if she was slow hes was crushed under foot, to awake the next day in the blood pits, Her body whole once more to be sent back to work carrying food and drink to the Monsters.
The tent moved, as its owner the lord of hell willed and she with it, she never once looked outside the tent, she knew only work, pain and sleep.

Then came the time of a fight, another slave, a new one was being slow, if he was not faster she and he would be crushed, he would not move more or let her past, so with one swing she smashed he head in and walked over his body to the tables. The Monsters seem to think this was funny, one of them picked Rosa up in its clawed hand, “Fine one this, she has fire in her, you wast such fire in slave, place her in the army she will do well.” With that he broke her neck. When she came to she was in a blood pit she had never seen before, it was a cell and standing over it was a Monster holding large knifes. There was others around her, “worms you are mine, so heed me well, lean to fight and die well and I may let you live again, you will fight and you will die, each time as our lord wills and you will do so no matter what” with that he throw the Knifes into the pit. "Last one standing gets out". Rosa did not win that day or the next, but soon she did and in doig so joined the ranks of hells army. There she became fodder fight and die in endless wars.

Time passed, then came to time of the sword.

She and others had been sent to frontaly attack a Devil, “You will charge at it all of you and keep it distracted while and agent of our master deals with it, most if not all of you will be sent back to the blood pits and death, this is what you are meant to do, Now go and die has our lord wills”
They ran over the hill and down to the waiting Devil, they died, its grate hammer smashing them while it tail flicked from side to side. Rosa was hit and thrown next to a rock, there she waited for death.

But as she lay dying she had time to see a shape move up behind the Devil, now eating some of her fellow dead. The Shape held in its hands a huge black and red sword, Then it moved to smite the Devil, but somehow it gave its place away, the devil move so fast she could not see, spinning it held in its hand a small bird.

“Do you think you could get me like that hell hound” The small thing In its hands screamed and the one with the sword stopped dead.

Why is he not moving

Rose thought, and then she could see, he had become stone. “Silly little hell hound”, the devil said, “he should know better than to send the likes of you, such and insult,” then its head high it screamed “if he wants ME! He can come himself” with one move of its tail it smashed Stone form.

Rosa closed her eyes as the rubble fell around her, she could hear the Devil had gone back to its meal. When she opened her eyes again, the pain was grater, but she could also see that the hounds sword had fallen by her side. She looked at it, it was a work of art, the runes on it seemed to flow and shift, so pretty, slowly she moved her hand to touch them.
“Arr” a voice said in her head “who do we have her, weak and small but there is room for improvement, you are one with a soul, but life yet, you must do”

They found her 2 days later, Still holding the Sword in the Back of the Dead Devil.

"This one is mine now" Said the sword "Make her whole once more and send her for Cleric Training, she is to be sent back!!!"

This is how Rosa's life as a Cleric of Hell Started, Her time on the prime has been hard but if her masters will she shall prevail.

-Descriptions-
Sex - Female
Race - Tiefling Devil Spawn (outsiders, native)
Classes - Cleric (Asmodeus)[1]
Alignment - LE alignment.
Age - Unknown (Most of her life she was a mindless slave.)
Hight 6'4" (Size Mid)
Wight - 860kg
Hair - White
Skin - Steel white
Eys - Silver

Rosa dos not hide who and what she is, she is not in any way a Tiefling who lives in Shame. But she knows to keep her head down as a LE Cleric of Asmodeus, that's always a good idea. Rose is how ever proud if who and what she is, shes well spoken and if you talk to her for a wile, she comes across as hard but some one with a sharp mind, fast wit and a steel will. most of all She may come over as being just odd.

Rosa is striking in looks, other worldly odd looks, disturbing looks. Her skin is metallic white, her fine white metallic sliver hair that always seems to be moving, her body gives off a cold haze even on the hotted sad. She is tall (7'4") ,not big but willow thin with a rakish look, age wise she looks around 30, she has two horns from front to back on her head. {She has no tail), Rosa She walks with grace and pride, and always keeps herself clean and well kept if she can. But most of all her eyes and manner seem odd. Her eyes a metallic silver and seem look beyond, where who can say, but Rosa sees things others should not. She will often talk to things that others can not see. She is not mad, she is just different, from another plan or world.

Rosa knows a lot but says little of things she feels others should not know. She seems some what cold and detached. If you spend some time with Rosa you may find she only has mild emotions even under the greatest duress. She is well spoken times with a rye smile on her says as she looks at you with those odd eyes.

Had a feeling you would app Rosa

2) Veteran of Battle (You gain a +1 trait bonus on Initiative checks, and if you are able to act during a surprise round, you may a draw a weapon as a free action during that round.

Intimidate (9) +1, +1, +3, +4
Climb (10) +4, +1, +3, +2
Handle Animal (5) +1, +1, +3

Languages: Goblin, Common

Racial:
Darkvision: Hobgoblins can see perfectly in the dark up to 60 feet.

Bandy-Legged: Bandy-legged hobgoblins have an even more exaggerated stature than other hobgoblins, with bowed legs and massive shoulders. Hobgoblins with this racial trait gain a +2 racial bonus on Climb and Ride checks, and a +2 racial bonus to their CMD against bull rush or trip attempts while on solid ground. The base speed of bandy-legged hobgoblins is reduced to 20 feet.

Fearsome Some hobgoblins scorn caution and subtlety for swagger and bluster. Hobgoblins with this racial trait gain a +4 racial bonus on Intimidate checks. This racial trait replaces sneaky.

Class:

Challenge: Once per day, a cavalier can challenge a foe to combat. As a swift action, the cavalier chooses one target within sight to challenge. The cavalier’s melee attacks deal extra damage whenever the attacks are made against the target of his challenge. This extra damage is equal to the cavalier’s level. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day for every three levels beyond 1st, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level.

Challenging a foe requires much of the cavalier’s concentration. The cavalier takes a –2 penalty to his Armor Class, except against attacks made by the target of his challenge.

The challenge remains in effect until the target is dead or unconscious or until the combat ends. Each cavalier’s challenge also includes another effect which is listed in the section describing the cavalier’s order.

Mount: A cavalier gains the service of a loyal and trusty steed to carry him into battle. This mount functions as a druid’s animal companion, using the cavalier’s level as his effective druid level. The creature must be one that he is capable of riding and is suitable as a mount. A Medium cavalier can select a camel or a horse. The GM might approve other animals as suitable mounts.

A cavalier does not take an armor check penalty on Ride checks while riding his mount. The mount is always considered combat trained and begins play with Light Armor Proficiency as a bonus feat. A cavalier’s mount does not gain the share spells special ability.

A cavalier’s bond with his mount is strong, with the pair learning to anticipate each other’s moods and moves. Should a cavalier’s mount die, the cavalier may find another mount to serve him after 1 week of mourning

Tactician: At 1st level, a cavalier receives a teamwork feat as a bonus feat. He must meet the prerequisites for this feat. As a standard action, the cavalier can grant this feat to all allies within 30 feet who can see and hear him. Allies retain the use of this bonus feat for 3 rounds plus 1 round for every two levels the cavalier possesses. Allies do not need to meet the prerequisites of these bonus feats. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day at 5th level and for every 5 levels thereafter.

Tactician teamwork feat: Precise Strike (Whenever you and an ally who also has this feat are flanking the same the creature, you deal an additional 1d6 points of precision damage with each successful melee attack. This bonus damage stacks with other sources of precision damage, such as sneak attack.)

Order of the Cockatrice
A cavalier who belongs to this order serves only himself, working to further his own aims and increase his own prestige.

Challenge: Whenever an order of the cockatrice cavalier issues a challenge, he receives a +1 morale bonus on all melee damage rolls made against the target of his challenge as long as he is the only creature threatening the target. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels the cavalier possesses.

Skills: An order of the cockatrice cavalier adds Appraise (Int) and Perform (Cha) to his list of class skills. In addition, an order of the cockatrice cavalier adds his Charisma modifier to the DC on another creature’s attempt to demoralize him through Intimidate (in addition to his Wisdom modifier, as normal).

With the amount of characters to choose from already, I'll bow out. Hope you guys have a great game.

Probably looking at a sorcerer - I actually regret putting 8 in Str, as I could have made a ranged bard - I may still make a bard, hopefully I have something up in about a day.

There's always stiff competition for this campaign :)

No problem leaving mount behind, anything big i seem to be missing?

Hmmm, going to roll stats, thinking serial killer taking a little inspiration from the Dexter books.

Str 18 so 20

Nice! That's totally doable. Thinking straight fighter.

Are you familiar with and willing to allow apprentice level characters?

Syntha updated. Unfortunately, due to not having more than one stat that gives me a bonus, I can't go into arcane archer. To do that I'd have to have the ability to cast spells haha. Now her eventual plans are to become a flying, ranged killer, also getting a flying animal companion at some point. I'd love feedback on background and char ideas!

Quick query: do you allow Leadership? If you did, I'd be quite happy for you to create and run a cohort which basically makes it unabusable (that's not a word, I know)...

Updated this alias with the rolls above.

Looks like +2 to save vs poison.

*Sigh*. Unfortunately me and Teufel had much the same idea, both going for a NE ranger (although he has quite the stat advantage). DM, would you like me to reflavor or try for another character altogether?

Teufel's more of a ranger/rogue and heavily skill based, in fact the two could work together quite effectively. Additionally I have a feeling the two characters are vastly different in temperament even though they have the same starting class and alignment.

Ah ok, that sounds good. I'd go further into detail but I'm waiting on some feedback from the DM

Background:

Cyx (pronounced “6”) has no knowledge of his real home nor his real parents. He was left as an infant at the steps of God’s Works Orphanage in Magnimar. This orphanage also had dealings in child slave labor in the underbridge section of the city.

Cyx never was given a real name he was always referred to as number 6. And as such he eventually adopted that as his name. Once Cyx was old enough he was sent to the sewers of the Shadow district to work as a miner digging tunnels to other areas of the city creating secret passages to manor houses and warehouses for various nefarious organizations

Knowledge of these tunnels is a precious thing and one does not learn of them without a price. And a slave that digs them, it is no different. Cyx learned these tunnels as he worked pretending to be ignorant of their directions, ignorant of their purpose. He gained knowledge that would be priceless to the right buyers.

Eventually, as Cyx grew he became stronger; hardened by the work in the tunnels. He felt it was time to find an escape. Then, one night the opportunity arrived. There was a squabble between a couple of the factions in the underworld and in the ensuing chaos Cyx made his escape.

He quickly overpowered a guard and managed to make his way to the city streets above. Looking for a place to hide until the situation would die down; Cyx made his way into a small school of combat run by a Tien man named Dom Sun. Cyx was able to prove his worth in the school and "impressed" the teacher. So much so that he was enrolled into the school and taught the martial arts of unarmed combat.

For 3 years he trained and practiced learning all that he could. And using his knowledge of the tunnels and secret passages of the under city to go and obtain money and “fun”; he used the school and his teacher as a front to begin his dealings with the criminal underworld selling the knowledge he possessed learning to negotiate deals, strike bargains, and of course how to manipulate people.

Eventually the Council of Ushers found out about Cyx and wanted the information as well. Cyx didn’t care who the customer was as long as the pay was good. And he began his dealings with the council as well.

Cyx saw power in the Council and began to take notes on their dealings building a collection of information to blackmail the entire council. He was able to sweet talk some council members into sedition against other council members. The plot to overthrow the Council of Ushers had begun.

Unfortunately, in his dealings, Cyx made plenty of enemies as well as friends and he was betrayed and arrested. He was sentenced to death by hanging but managed to lie his way into a lighter sentence (if you could call it that) and was instead sentenced to life in the Talingarde prison.

While in Prison Cyx mulled over who betrayed him and came to one conclusion Nein (pronounced “9”) He was always jealous on Cyx. Nein was a ruthless Teifling and had an unnatural affinity to undead. (he is an undead bloodline sorcerer).

Cyx began his plot of revenge…

@Syntha - Everything looks good, no comments so far
@Justin Slunder - I'd prefer PFRPG only, but if you want to roll it up, please go ahead
@littlehewy - I only allow Leadership if the campaign is evil or the person is a cavalier. Leadership works for this campaign, but normally it would not be allowed

I will now be closing recruitment as this has received more interest then I was expecting. Anyone who has expressed interest or still has characters in progress still has until Sunday to submit a character. But at this time, I will not be taking any new interest.

Good stuff.

Just to give you a heads up, Arodwumm the dwarf, didn't quite get the right rolls to make a rogue with a soupçon of anti-paladin. He was my placeholder. My application will be a human probably this one.

Have a good Thanksgiving to all you colonials from over the pond.

@Dron Drox - Edited, thanks for the heads up, your app has been placed as still in progress.

@Justin Slunder - Lightbringer would cancel out the drawback of Darkvision. It's cheesy, but just means that magical sleep will effect you

Background: Living as a hunter/trapper/logger, Jaed spent the vast majority of his time beyond the boundary of civilization, which suited him fine. The decadence of city-folk always annoyed him, and he would find ways to upset them whenever he thought he could get away with it.
One night, after a few to many ales, he thought it would be a good idea to urinate on an altar of Mitra. After donning the regalia of the local high priest, and thinking the temple empty, he did so. Sadly for him, he forgot the time, and just as he was about to strip off the clothes and shred them, five Mitrans arrived to make ready for the morning ceremonies. One of them the high priest, another....Sir Balin of Karfield. The famous Sir Balin of Karfield, known for hunting defilers of the faith. Due to his drunken state, it was no challenge to subdue him.
Now, Jaed is in rags, waiting for the stake and the flame.

I had a feeling you would have a feeling I would app Rosa :)

Going a hole new way, core point of the PC is her Ethereal sight I wanted to see what it would be like with a mystical bent, less hammer of hell way, more see other things and healing, with an evil party that can be hard to have a healer who, well cares about the other PC well being, but with a "I feel your fate is telling me you must be healed" it more working as support follower than fighter front liner.

If you would like me to submit another PC I think I have an idea that would be fun.

Oh ok. Thanks anyway

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Presenting Darsis Valdane, serial killer, kinslayer, and swordsman. He'll be a straight fighter, taking the feats Quick Draw, Equipment Trick Heavy Scabbard, and Improved Initiative. For traits I'll likely take, reactionary, and history of heresy for my traits.

I'll try to raise his int at some point so he can start Improved Disarm, otherwise he'll be a basic heavy armored falchion fighter.

I'll knock up an alias tomorrow.

Personality:

Darsis is cold and calculating, he seems mild mannered, rarely gives into his anger and will back down if it makes sense to do so. He feels numb to emotion, and the only times he truly feels are when he is killing or when he sees someone overindulging, addicts are animals and deserve to die, gluttons are animals.

Darsis will kill other people - which he defines, basically, as those who affect the world rather than let it sweep them along - but only to a purpose. Animals he has the right to kill, but people must have a reason to die.

Background:
At age six Darsis Valdane was rescued from a maddened cult of Zon-Kuthon followers after being forced to torture and slay his two older brothers and his sister. His father, Baldan Valdane, an Inquisitor of Abadar who had foiled the cults schemes previously, tried to beat the darkness from his son, and managed to impose a code of sorts.

But Baldan Valdane was an arrogant man, who believed there were animals and there were people, and being born a thinking creature was not sufficient to warrant personhood. A person Baldan believed shaped the world, while an animal reacted to the world. An animal caught in a bear trap would gnaw of its own foot, or surrender, a person caught in a bear trap would endure the pain, and feign unconsciousness waiting for the trapper to come and then taking its chance to slay them once it was freed.

Darsis grew loathing his father and harboring dark thoughts, and found that killing relaxed him, and made him feel something other than numbness. Eventually his father discovered his collection of animal tongues under the floorboards and beat him viciously, making him spend virtually all of his time at the local Church praying for absolution.

Then his father began to drink. And as Darsis watched him descend into addiction his respect for the man withered and died, as did Baldan's right to be treated as anything but an animal, an animal who had hurt him...

So Darsis set a bear trap inside the privy. And when the old man was caught he doused the privy in oil and burned him alive inside it. A person would have found a way out of the situation, but the animal that was his father did not. Killing animals is not murder it is slaughter, and a persons right.

Darsis sold their home and enrolled at Blackblade's fighter training school in Absalom. His money ran out more swiftly than he could have imagined, but he found work at an abattoir, learning to kill and cut meat which he found soothing and informative. He proved an adept warrior and swiftly mastered a signature style of fighting that involved careful use of blade and scabbard in conjunction. In his two years at the school he dispatched a dozen human animals, refining his techniques there to, and taking to soaking a piece of red silk in each victims blood and stitching it into the lining of his fathers cloak. He was forced to flee Absalom after he saw the Watch breaking down the door to his rooms, and took the first ship he could afford - to Talingarde.

In Talingarde he quickly found work as a bodyguard, and enforcer, for a local money lender named Gerrius Dreel. Dreel had him do some terrible things to debtors, animals who could not meet their obligations, but the man was an odious glutton whose stench offended Darsis. Then one day Dreel lost a huge sum in a card game, and did not pay Darsis on time, he could have paid after making a few collections of course. But fair is fair, a loan shark should know the consequences of not paying when owed. Darsis slew Dreel's other two bodyguards before they had a chance to react, tied the glutton to a stake and slow roasted him over his own fire place - with an apple in his mouth. Honing his blades to razor sharpness in rhythm with the pigs squeals.

Three days later he was arrested in his rooms. He is not sure how he was caught, he butchered the meat making it virtually unrecognizable and sold it to a sausage maker. Nobody saw his deeds that he is aware of and he was not known to have any enemity towards Dreel. But a person adapts and Darsis Valdane is no animal, he is a person, he is a butcher.

Alright, I would like to present Jethryk Devarre, a Lawful Evil Tiefling (Pit-born) Oracle of Battle (and occasional para-legal) for consideration.

Background:
There is a curse upon those of the Devarre bloodline: An Infernal taint. Sometimes it skips a few generations, but its stain has marred those who belong to Jethryk's family for centuries. When it manifests, it victims are universally shunned, or worse, burned as witches, as they have obviously been tainted by Dark Powers.

In Jethryk's case, the taint manifested at puberty: He was wracked with fevers and chills for months, until one day, he started weeping tears of blood - black blood.

His parents, fearful of what might happen to their son, and, more importantly, the rest of their family, if Jethryk's condition became common knowledge, his parents quickly bundled him off to the capital, where he was nominally apprenticed to a local barrister that the family had had dealings with in the past.

Jethryk chafed at the virtual exile and imprisonment that had been forced upon him, but he studied the law, nursing a cold hatred for those who had abandoned him. One day, however, he found an avenue for escape: In an obscure legal codex, he discovered allusions to a contract that, when signed, granted the signatory unimaginable power... in exchange for a few small boons.

Blinded by thoughts of revenge, Jethryk failed to consider the implications of what he was seeking, and eagerly spent every waking moment he could call his own feverishly attempting to track down the hinted contract. His quest was largely fruitless for months, until, serendipitously, he found an ancient scroll, tucked into the space behind a shelf of tort law. When he read the words, he could barely contain his excitement, and eagerly whipped out a quill, using his own blood as ink. Upon signing his name, the scroll erupted into flame, and he was immediately beset with excruciating agony, as a glyph was seared into the flesh of his chest - an upside-down pentagram. Once the pain abated, he could feel warmth suffusing his body, his ice-cold heart melting as power thrummed through every fibre of his being. He left stronger, abler, as Infernal power suffused his form, accentuating previously subtle demonic features. Torching his master's library, he caught the man abed, and stabbed him to death with the silver-tipped quill he had used to transcribe court documents for so very many tedious hours, repaying the man with a long, drawn-out, excruciating death. He then left the capital, heading 'home'... It was high-time he paid his 'respects' to his parents...

After his initial 'breakthrough' in the capital, Jethryk maintained a low profile, skulking his way across the countryside, until he arrived at his home village. Once there, he bided his time, until he had opportunity to plant evidence implying that his parents consorted with dark powers. He watched with satisfaction as a mob formed, his betrayers were tied to poles, and torched, reveling in their painful deaths.

That night, he began to seek a more personal, and visceral, revenge on all others whom he had perceived had 'wronged' him in his youth - childhood 'friends', uppity servants, the local priest, a few businessmen, and certain members of the town guard... every night thereafter, he would invade a home, and quietly slaughter the inhabitants in their beds, leaving only what would become his calling card... a black quill buried deep in their left eye-sockets.

His reign of terror lasted for nearly a month, before a strike team of investigators from the capital (with divine support) managed to catch him in the act. However, rather than handing him over to the town to face mob justice, because his calling card linked him to the unsolved murder of the lawyer in the capital (not to mention the fact that he had killed several dozen members of his home town), they bundled him off to Branderscar Prison, there to face the full weight of the law...

Appearance:

Jethryk is a tall, wiry 'human' with coal-black hair, pale skin, and icy blue eyes. He rarely smiles, as that shows off the fact that his teeth are far too sharp for any 'normal' man, but he is prone to fierce, fiery passions, which can make him forget himself... His demonic heritage is also evident in the prehensile, quasit-like tail he possesses, which he normally keeps carefully hidden underneath a cloak. Additionally, as a mark of his Infernal contract, Jethryk also has a large burn-scar in the shape of an upside-down pentagram emblazoned across his chest, but he prefers to hide this behind his rags as best he can.

Motivation for Revenge:
Talingarde has betrayed Jethryk - firstly in his youth, by necessitating his removal from his home to 'hide' his true nature, and secondly by sentencing him to death for seeking what he saw as 'justice'. As such, 'Talingarde' (which he sees as being synonymous with the royal family) deserves to perish.

He has no quarrel with the rank and file peasantry of the nation, though; provided they do not get in his way, he will leave them alone. He is not an anarchist, after all... He merely seeks redress for perceived wrongs; if doing so happens to place him in a position of power, so much the better.

Additional Information:
In terms of character development, something to consider: Although Jethryk does not realise it (I will deliberately not take Knowledge(Religion).), the contract that he signed deeded-over his soul to Asmodeus, with the option for the Archfiend to call on him for service during life, as well.

Full crunch is available via his profile :-)

Let me know if you want any additional information.

I have a babysitting gig tonight so should be able to concentrate on the bio for my PC. Hopefully move back to the completed side of the draw.

Cheers

Small update on Syntha, i'm taking the 'skirmisher' archetype. Partly for functional reasons, partly for background reasons. Function is because her wisdom score sucks for spellcasting (can't do much unless I want an 11 in dex as a ranger). Background is because strix believe they were literally god-forsaken, and their divine punishment is having to live amongst the humans that hunt them. It would make sense for a strix to deny divine help (a rangers spells)

Meh, too late for recruitment.

It's nice to see you again Tierce. Have fun with the game.

Here is Darsis with crunch completed :) Darsis Valdane, Human Fighter 1
