Elenaril steps forward and looks down at the little goblin who suddenly seems a lot less sure of himself and a lot more ready to leave his treasure behind and bolt. "Elenaril. Skakan didn't see you there..." Elenaril squats, putting herself closer to the goblin's level, "Skakan, how delightful to see you again! We're looking for some friends of ours, we know they came through here. Be a dear and tell us where they went, won't you?" Skakan is visibly shaken by the elf's proximity, he nods his head vigorously and then shakes it just as vigorously. His voice takes on a whiny quality, "But the elf man paid me extraaaaa not to telllll."
Pretty sure Silian took damage, Vannevar is good I think.
Akasha |
Highest attack against Silian was a 17, his AC's 18. Vannevar got hit for 6 damage with a 19 though.
Looking over her companions Akasha shakes her head. "Vannevar I know you've taken stoicism as a lifestyle choice but an untreated wound slogging through a sewer's a quick way to having to have something chopped off later." she says looking first at Jonah then staring pointedly at the noble elf's wound.
Jonah d'Tharashk |
Hey, I didn't see it, just give me a couple of moments
He walks over and grips Vannevar's shoulder.

Silian d'Thuranni |
As Silian wipes off his blade, "She is right. It won't have to leave you with nasty dog bites... metal or otherwise." As the wounds start to close with Jonah's help, Silian smirks and pulls out a Jorasco wand. "You know I did acquire this so you would not have to waste your gifts." Silian touches the wand to his companion's side.

As an afterthought, "But it is appreciated all the same. Thank you, Jonah. Tava's fall has already proven that these underhalls are not to be underestimated... So shall we have a look around to see what these guardians were, well, guarding?"
Silian proceeds to examine the room, looking it over and nudging things aside with his boot.

Not being rude, but no one let me know of that.
Pointing in the general direction of the wand
Otherwise I would have used that, with your permission
He then goes poking around in the room.

Silian's eyes roam the room before returning to the fallen dogs out of innate disgust, he notices something strange about them, metal rods now protrude from their forehead; one rectangular the other triangular.
Jonah's eyes land on the third metal dog that is trapped beneath the rubble, as well as taking note of the shelves that line the room. The shelves along the southern wall are mostly empty, though a few items remain wrapped in oilcloth.
"Bad business! Bad business!" The goblin complains as he nervously licks his lips and eyes both Elenaril and now Skysky with fear. A whimper escapes the goblin's lips, "OK, OK, they went into the sewers! They wanted to go to the E-213 Valve Cluster!"
DM Twilight |
Roflmfao. DC20 Strength to move the stone on top of the dog. 20 minutes of searching the shelves to gather the treasure, let me know if you intend to devote that time to the task.
Jonah d'Tharashk |
Chuckling quietly to himself, Jonah leaves the warforged to clear the debris from the last defender, and goes back to checking the shelving until the defender is clear.
DM Twilight |
The goblin leads you deeper into the lower levels of the Dorsharn tower, down a dank, dark, cramped staircase that doesn't seem to have been used in quite some time. At the bottom of the stairs he stops. "This is as far as I took them, as far as I will take you. Through here, take a left and then a right. That's where they went." The goblin casts a hateful glance at Syksy before turning and going back the way he came.
Sorry, Garotte, missed your original roll. You're able to easily move the stone off of the crushed dog, and note that it likewise has a rod, this one pentagonal.
On the shelves: 1 suit of scale mail, 1 small masterwork chain shirt, 3 small steel shields, 1 heavy mace, 1 longsword, 1 masterwork rapier, 1 masterwork heavy mace, and 2 sunrods. Silian notices the magic of the sunrods and emanations from the vault door at the east side of the room.
Jonah d'Tharashk |
Well, it appears the plate we were looking for is not in here, unless it is on the back side of the door.
He then quickly swaps the fine quality mace for his own, then goes to pull the last rod out of the defenders head.
DM Twilight |
The door is actually the forge, my bad
The huge forge and furnace combination looks like a primitve version of the same components found in any House Cannith shop or enclave. The forge and furnace fill the easternmost 10 feet of the room, and metal tiles cover the floor 10 feet in front of you. Three depressions, evenly spaced atop the forge, show a pentagon, a triangle, and a square.

Jonah slides the rod into the hole and before his hand lets go of the metal, he feels a jolt of electricity shoot through his body.

Jess looks around for a moment, "Gods it reeks down here. I'm going to need a long bath when this is over."
Elanaril disappears into the shadows, you hear her whispered voice, "Wait there, I'll be back."
After a few minutes time, the elf returns. "I fear we may have been bested by our little goblin friend. We are no where near the E-213 Valve Cluster, but I believe I can get us there from here. We'll just have to tromp through the sewers a bit longer than any of us would have preferred. Keep your guards up, let's go."
