Jonah d'Tharashk |
Jonah flicks the rock towards the entrance, as he walks over to get his spear.
I figure to let the lady that runs this church answer the door.
Akasha |
Startled awake, and lacking time to don her armor, Akasha focuses, the dragon mark on her thigh glowing. A she grabs her sword, coming up into a crouch in just her shift, translucent flickering armor of pure force appears just a inch off of her body.

Faela comes out of a back room, and looks around at all of you looking as if you are ready for a battle. She frowns slightly but doesn't question you as she moves to the doors. She opens the door slightly and speaks quietly to whomever is out there before stepping back and opening it wider to allow entrance.
A moment later a massive bugbear steps through. He is impeccably groomed, and the enameled breastplate he wears is well polished. It bears a coat of arms of a stylized silver dragon surrounded by an ivy wreath. Those who met with Lady Tela should recognize him as her guard, Kurthan.
Silian d'Thuranni |
"Yes, tragic to be sure. The Fallen tower serves as their headstone et cetera, et cetera. I myself am quite prepared to head back to fairer smelling winds, and the new ones we have accumulated have proven their salt thus far... except the Silent Steel Soldier, but it hasn't eaten anything or slowed us down as of yet so it might as well replace the 'forged we set out with."
Jonah d'Tharashk |
Before we go, I will need some time, a little longer than quarter of an hour.
Jonah will then quickly head outside the church, and pray to the host.
After prayers, he will prepare his spells for the day, and then he is ready to go.
DM Twilight |
It seems no one else has any preparations so we're moving along.
Kurthan bows to Faela once the group has gathered and leaves the church. He walks out in the open, making no effort to be quiet or hidden. In this area of Fallen, there are few ravers but instead you once again see the occasional poor soul sitting around a fire or huddled in an alley. The outcasts of society, with no where else to go. When you entered Fallen, they reacted warily towards your group but now you see the all but flee from Kurthan.
As the sun slowly prepares to rise, and the area grows lighter in twilight, you see the exit to Fallen and just outside where it first dropped you off is Lady Tela's airship waiting to take you back.
DM Twilight |
You board the airship and watch as you take off, the view of Sharn as you rise up with the sun has never looked quite so beautiful as it does on this morning. After a short while the ship comes to a stop near to Lady Tela's manor. "Lady Tela will be with your shortly,"Kurthan says. After after showing you to the study he retreats once more. Likely to return to his post by the door. You are alone in the study, for the time being.
Silian d'Thuranni |
"Yes it will be nice to get the b!tch-stink out of my clothes... both of the blink dogs and the whining trollip the rats feasted on." Silian turns towards the others, "The Lady Tela is our current employer. The orc and the priest have proven themselves capable, and I will see to it that the shares meant to pay those we set out with becomes yours. Although all the Plated Shadow did was skulk about and take up our time to unbury it, I do not care if you take a share or not, it isn't exactly like you need to buy new clothing or a hot meal..." Silian lounges across a chair.

After a few moments, Lady Tela enters the room. She pauses to raise an eyebrow briefly at Silian who has made himself so comfortable, even in clothes that are covered in dirt, blood, and sweat. Neris, who was entering behind her carrying a tray with tea nearly runs her mistress over before catching herself, the cups rattle but she is able to keep them from falling with ease.
"You have returned... some of you, at least. It seems you have also made new friends on your journey. How wonderful! I am so excited to hear all about your time in Fallen," She says with genuine interest even as her eyes take in your laden bags.
Silian d'Thuranni |
"By all means, keep them. We found a shattered tower full of starving rats, the orcs that hunt them, babbling spirits, a deranged cultist, bad dreams, and more filthy blink dogs than I have seen since Talenta. A few forgot to comprehend that they were already dead." Silian watches the noblewoman's reactions as he speaks.

Lady Tela seems genuinely interested, and surprised at the details of your adventure.
"The orcs hunt the rats? For food?" Her eyes slide to Tava briefly before focusing back on Silian.
Tava nods her head, then pantomimes stabbing at the floor with her spear and rubbing her belly while smacking her lips loudly.
Akasha |
"Haunted dreams that felt real enough that we acted on them, nightmares capable of killing." Akasha says, a tiny shudder passing through her at the memory. "And as far as the cultist, he was just the leader of the band of crazed madmen roaming the streets of fallen, all centered around a statue.....the statue your arm belonged to."
DM Twilight |
Silian rolls his eyes slightly and curses under his breath. "Yes, yes, there was a tiny, almost nonexistent piece missing; just the left eye. Hardly even noticeable."
Diplomacy 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
A somewhat sly but definitely amused smile spreads across Lady Tela's face, "Is that so? Well then, it really is a shame you could not find that last piece. Still though, you have gone above and beyond and you will be rewarded accordingly. Please, show me what you have found?"
DM Twilight |
Akasha begins unloading the parts, presenting Lady Tela with the agreed upon arm with a smile. " This is yours as we were contracted to retrieve for you My Lady, am I to understand you have an interest in the rest of it at well?" she asks with a smile of her own.
"Yes, of course Lady d'Denieth, and I am prepared to offer you the same price for each additional piece you produce as what was agreed upon for the hand. I believe that to be a more than generous offer."
DM Twilight |
Silian is momentarily miffed but the thought soon passes him as Neris returns to refresh his tea, a flirtatious smile on her lips.
"Excellent, let us see what we have here then!" Lady Tela says with barely contained excitement as she begins to lay the pieces out on the floor.
"I shall have it arranged for you to be healed of any injuries at the Jorasco House nearby. I have also spoken with Mrogab and he has assured me that you may all expect to find clean rooms and a hot meal waiting for you at his inn, free of charge for two nights stay."
As she talks, she gasps and rises quickly to her feet. "Oh my! I was not expecting that to happen, not at all."

Jonah passes the torso over completely oblivious to anything else.
I am just glad to get this out of my pack. However, the clean rooms and hot meals are appreciated.

So, I'm so glad that Akasha and Jonah are still posting. I'm playing half the game myself right now :P Hurray back Dragonblood472 and Scott Williams 16!

Silian stares a moment at the pieces of statue laid out on the floor before replying in a bored voice, "That still counts as two pieces."
"Yes, of course," Lady Tela responds in a very distracted voice as she steps away from the statue pieces on the floor. "Neris! Fetch Kurthan right away! I want each of these pieces placed in separate containers and secured right away."
She smooths down the creases in her skirt while composing herself. She then turns to Akasha and asks, "Please, tell me everything you can about your encounter with the mad man."
