wulfgar is willing to stay where he is also, I'm thinking we can take them, just need to not give them room to flank Balthe if you want Wulfgar's spot he can move back and support Nils and Balthe, let me know.

Combat over

-----

As the last golem falls, you hear a loud crash behind you, from where the blockades were. You head to where the dead end path was, and a awesome and fearsome sight behold you. You notice a room, the size of a Khatapesh arena. At the back of the room, is a large, bordering on huge statue of Aroden. It is gold plated, and you see a beautiful and intricate longsword on his hip as well as a beautiful heavy steel shield in his right hand. The statue stands tall, and vigilant as it appears to be watching over the room.

As the four of you step into the room, and statue moves, but you can quickly tell it is an illusion, programmed images. It steps off the mighty pedestal it is perched upon, and walks towards the center of the room, and raises its longsword towards the party, or out the room, you are unsure. It is about to speak, when a thunderous crash is heard.

What do you do?

Another loud crash can be heard, as Teclis renders himself invisible should something big and ugly come crashing in. After a few more loud crashes, the statue crumbles. Indeed, something loud and nasty does come through, but not through the statue itself. It seems that unsealing the door to this ancient room, as also unsealed a nasty creature as well. How ironic that a shrine dedicated to Aroden, was keeping something at bay.

Nils and Balthe, converge on the otherworldly beast. Both manage to hit the slow to react enemy, leaving some wounds on the enemy. The brunt of the attack get absorbed by an insubstantial force surrounding the formidable foe.

DR "good"

The beast lets out a ferocious roar, but instead of retaliating moves back away from the encroaching enemies and makes a few strange motions with its claws. As it finishes, it winks out of existence. The room goes quiet again, before you, beyond where the statue stands, you see a crack of light coming from beyond or rather underneath the statue. It seems when you opened the final gate, the statue had moved upon entry.

Out of Combat

You investigate the light, and it you see a set of stairs that lead down under the statue. The statue must weigh close to 3000 pounds...as whomever worked on the stone to be a master sculptor.

Just as you are trying to figure out how best to deal with the colossal obstacle, see something or rather someone out of the corner of your eye.

In the far corner, out of nowhere, a figure appears. The figure is wearing a red cloak, with black trim. Stylized on the cloak or Chelish runes and even a symbol of Asmodeus; a six pointed star.

The man looks at you, hands up, and a clear sign of surrender.

What the hell what that thing?! I have worked with devils before, but even that thing made me piss myself.

He tosses his spell component pouch towards you, to further show he means no quarrel with either Nils or Balthe.

I will not give you my name, on principle you see. I can tell you that I am...or now was a member of the Chelish army. Nobody high up, but I had some power. My job was to eliminate your group, and release the imprisoned creature in Aroden's resting place. I was told that the imprisoned creature, would help to bring Chelish rule to all of Golarion. All would fear Cheliax and would bow to our might.

He takes a deep breath and lets out a very audible sigh.

But, I just feel that the creature, the bebilith that was released, is much more than an instrument that the Chelish nation plans to use for his gaining of power. Bebilith are known to hunt demons, which I find to be highly counterproductive to the goals I had thought to be our main objective.

He looks around to the four of you, then to the exit.

I would appreciate you guys letting me go, I would even let you strip me down of all my gear if you wish, so I cannot communicate with my superiors should you feel the need. I would like to live should you allow me to, but I understand up until mere seconds ago we were enemies.

I know you Chelish types are all about law and honor and that stuff, so I'll say we can let you go on a condition of parole (and giving us your good stuff, you can keep what you need to survive) that you won't try to interfere with or harm us in the future. "

Fair enough, I do not have much, but fair enough.

He hands over a small sack, a magical crossbow, a magical quiver, and lastly a magical ring.

handy haversack, +1 medium light crossbow, efficient quiver, +1 ring protection

After giving you the conditions of release, he heads out of the door, looks back one last time and heads out of the underground maze.

Wulfgar causes Balthe to double in size, in increase his physical prowess. He buckles down, and after some effort manages to move the large statue blocking the stairway down.

You four head down the stairs, which is lit by continual flames spells placed at even intervals. After winding down about 60 or so feet, the room opens up into a large room, that has a portal at the epicenter of the large 60 foot circular room. The portal, is glowing with a faint green-blue hue. It appears the portal is still open, but the odd thing...nothing is coming through. You are unsure if the portal is one way only, it could be what was keeping the Bebilith held in capture, or it could lead to another plane entirely.

After a night sleep, some better than others, you approach the portal that looms in front of you. After testing it with a weapon or two and seeing everything come back in one piece you decide to enter the portal.

As soon as you four cross the threshold, the portal closes. Four pale blue lights, wink into existence, and you see an old woman, graying hair sitting cross-legged in the center of the 60 foot diameter room.

Took you long enough, another minute and my powers would have been depleted. My name is Ariana, and the easiest way to describe what I do is watch over time, I am a time keeper if you will. I was tasked to watch over your time and see how exactly the Rough Beast, otherwise known as Rovagug was unleashed upon Golarion to create the futuristic one of a desolated and barren land.

She lets that sink in, as she goes to a pond, and takes a sip of water to wet her lips.

I am curious to see if you have what it takes to return Golarion to the state you know it to be, versus the state it is going to become. I am going to send you into the distant future, for Rovagug doesn't awaken from his slumber for quite some time. You will train with a group whose power far exceed your current capabilities, in hopes that some of their knowledge will transfer to you. I only have enough power currently to allow three of you to go, so one must stay behind. I am sorry, if you had entered earlier it may have been different.

After a brief discussion, Wulfgar offers to stay behind.

So be it, you three when ready please let me know and I will open a portal to a distant future. If I were you, I would drink from the spring next to me, I was told it has mystical properties. Also seek out the organization called The Trine, they are a group who think the world will end, and feel free to ask whatever questions you have before departing because returning is not an option.

"What does the spring do?" he asks as he goes to take a swig of water.

"Well in that case, is it OK if I fill my water skin as well or will it lose its potency?"

I am unsure if it will lose its healing properties, but you are welcome to fill it up in any event.

Balthe, and Nils will both drink from the spring. You immediately feel better as the cool water feels great.

Nils fills up his water skin with the cool water.

"Ok, I guess we are ready to go now. Do you have any more information for us? Who are the Trine? "
