Ss'alat |
"I wonder if there's anything behind the structures by the two sarcophagi in the middle of this room? Might be solid rock. Or something else, possibly. Seems kind of odd to just have solid rock sticking out like that for no reason at all."
Ss'alat will check the 5x5 area in front of him (by one of the sarcophagi), with Aashsaa helping, to see if it's solid or hides something.

Torrag Grimm |
Did we examine that pool of water fully? If not, Torrag will detect magic over it after we're done with this room.
Revvy Bitterleaf |
There's one more door you didn't open yet..after that we can continue to the next lvl if enough people want to continue
Ss'alat and his snake don't pick up anything out of the ordinary in the room and Torrag doesn't detect anything about the water..it's just normal water, used to supply this base with a fresh water supply ...and to rinse out all the privvy's around here
You make your way to the last unopened door you've discovered so far
This room is full of small cages containing rabbits, mice, rats, cats, and dogs. The din is deafening, and the room smells strongly of animal waste.
In the room stands a man with a short sword at his belt and a flask in his hands, next to an iron cobra.

Focusing on his ring to recall a spell casts Create Pit, creating a 10 foot pit under the caster and iron cobra.

Novid, not effected by the man's spell takes him down with one swing of his sword..sending the man's head flying through the room
@Ss'alat..that's more something for a knowledge skill then a perception - knowledge arcane in this case
Ss'alat sees the metallic scales on the snake
Shifting remaining attacks to the snake, which means that Ss'alat's spell doesn't work if he were to cast it on the snake
Chaul moves forward and attacks the snake....but it's metal scales are too thick to suffer any damage from Chaul's attack
Torrag knows the snake is a construct..but not much else
Reflex save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
and then summons an extradimensional pit in the room which the snake barely avoids falling into
Gunnar falls on the floor, face first..unconscious. His hands releasing his grip on his weapon.
Eladrian moves to the door as he drops his hammer and shoots his bow at the snake, the arrow get's stuck in the metal..slowing down the damage it would have otherwise caused DR/-

"It burns... but so does the fire of Saeraen. And no mere snake can compete with Her fire!"
He steps back, making room for the others as he notes the creatures supernatural resistance to mortal damage. As he does so his scimitar bursts into flame.
Casts sun metal
Torrag Grimm |
Torrag conjurers an acid cloud around the snake. Supernatural Ability if that matters.
Acid Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Eladrian drops his bow and as he moves forward, he brings out his earthbreaker again. getting within reach, he brings the earthbreaker down on the snake.

Revvy Bitterleaf |
Novid moves (can't hit the snake otherwise) next to the snake and swings his weapons past the snake into the ground (doesn't hit AC) and then ends his turn next to the summoned pit
(reflex save DC 16 for Novid with a +2 bonus, for ending his turn next to the pit or fall in)
Chaul reels back from the poisonous construct, its vile venom coursing through his veins, but not effecting him. He steps back, making room for the others as he notes the creatures supernatural resistance to mortal damage. As he does so his scimitar bursts into flame.

Ss'alat stands back by the door with his crossbow ready. Not really having any magics that will help against that metal cobra.
1d4 ⇒ 1 Gunnar almost is able to move again

Chaul realises that even though his weapon is now flaming, it won't do any good if he cannot get into combat.
Taking his chance he advances on the Cobra and strikes.

Eladrian just barely manages to remain standing without falling into the pit
Torrag sends a magic missile into the snake and combined with Eladrian's attack is enough to take out the snake, as Chaul distracts the snake with stumbling past it.
The caster carries a short sword and a bottle of spider venom, the snake didn't have anything.
Satisfied you've explored everything down here you head out to report back at the Lodge.
