"Unless I'm mistaken Rock, we have 6 applicants for our party so far including myself and Brask. I'm happy with the dwarves who have steped forward and with our two gnome allies. I'm very happy with the addition of a rogue."

All right. Team dwarf is ready to go. Move them over. Any alternates feel free to apply here for either team.

Oops I stuffed that link above

click here instead although your all capable of fibeing it yourselves. I just thought it would be easier if I linked there.

Thograt, if you take a war domain you can choose dwarf axe as favored weapon--as you would get proficiency with it (see post for elves to get bastard sword)--and you already have proficiency --you get weapon focus dwarvish battle axe for free.

Sounds good. I love me some Dwarven Waraxe but the war domain is not one of Torags domains...

you can add war to Torag's list - times are tough

Hey, I'd be interested in an alternate position as an Elf Barbarian, as I'm currently playing one in a tabletop game here at school. I've never played in pbp before so I'd rather be an alternate to start so i can watch and get the hang of it. Are Elves still looking for alternates?

Awesome I'll make the changes.

Absolutely. We're all 1st level, so we're just a crit away from elf heaven. Post your character idea in the elf discussion thread, and if duty calls, you'll get drafted. More meat for the grinder!

A word to anyone else thinking of being an alternate: We've got an agreement to stay out of each other's threads, character profiles, etc. If you want to play, pick a team and stay out of the other team's threads, and don't click their profiles here.

As a fan of the game, I'd love to go see what those ugly little dwarves are doing to compensate for being so vertically challenged. Since we're destined to slay them all like sleeping kobolds, knowing particulars about them is like peeking in the bestiary. We're so clearly superior to those drunken furballs, there's just no need, anyway.

The dwarves will fall before our blades like grass in a beautiful sylvan meadow. Unicorns will frolic o'er their graves, and our party will still be laughing over their pathetic attempts to fight us centuries from now.
"Remember when we fought that party of dwarves?"
"Not really. It was over so fast, the details escape me."
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!"
"Dwarves! Hahahahahahaha!"

All elf and dwarf gods have added war to their domains - times are tough.

The elf gods have added bastard sword and longsword as ALTERNATE favored weapons and the dwarf gods have added dwarven battle axe and greataxe as ALTERNATE favored weapons.

War domain clerics may gain a proficiency in ONE of the god's favored weapons if they don't have it -OR- gain weapon focus in ONE favored weapon in which they are already proficient.

A battle dwarf or "regular" dwarf cleric with war domain and wood elf cleric with war domain both make solid multi-roled characters.

"I was waiting to send off my heroes, and one of my gnomes turned up missing. Bring me more dwarves or gnomes. Halflings and humans will be considered too by the way. They tend to help out in the nimble roles much more."

Rock what are you looking for? I ave a dwarven cleric that I would love to play but if you need something else let me know. I ave played too many of those pansy elves to like them any more. Time for a rock hard race that can take a beating. If your gnome sorceror went missing I can whip up an arcanist if you need.

I've a gnome sorceress who likes to fight. Can have details in a few hours.

We are looking for an arcanist. Our gnome sorcerer has dropped out. He was our only arcane user so whip up your arcanist. Don't destroy your Dwarf cleric though, we may need him if I die.

That sounds interesting. Likes to fight in melee? Work out the crunch and post her.

Likes to stand behind muscled tough guys with reach weapons, then she will gently rub their back with an Enlarge Person. Also has a little bit of healing.

Sounds like it would fit in really well with the party actually. A little extra healing wouldn't go astray and the reach weapon/enlarge person sounds great.

I was gonna take a Wand of Enlarge Person - I got the idea from this Jobo... But we don't have traits, so I don't have Rich Parents (which is probably an overpowered trait).

My powergaming will be used against me.

Honestly, it seems to be a combination of things. Two died during combat, because you cannot make up for lost people. Waiting days for people to take turns just killed it. One, the GM just left, lol. Another, it was attrition, where one left, then another, then the remaining players kind of dropped out.

Ah well, complaining over. I'm still enjoying things, and trying to learn as much as possible, lol

I actually managed to kill a game with a single post. Late one night, I was too tired (and lacking recent experience) to realize that I could move past an unarmed guy in a door with little risk. I stopped to address him, leaving no one else with anything to do; and that was the end.

Nothing much to add to what's been said about people wanting to be an alternate beyond look at who is most likely to die and see if you really want to play that part. That said.

"Oh, so ye wanna go that way, eh? Well if ye really wanna know why we're so short, it's so we can put a gauntlet ta yer acorns a li'l easier. They's so small I can barely see 'em even with me keen eyes. I'd like ta see ye try and kill me toothpick. I'd turn ye inta a pin-cushion a-fore ye even drew yer bow. An' don't go thinkin' ye can wade in, 'cause me an' me axe will be waitin' fer ye and yer twig o' a sword."

"HOLY CRAP! That tiny beard talks! Wonder of wonders..."

A twig of a sword you say? But at least we rely on our brains more than on brute strength. The point always beats the edge as they say

If you wanted to have secure threads, you could go over to Mythweavers.com

They've got a lot more features than the Paizo boards for running PbP games, including the ability to hide threads from players who are not participating. (ie, Elves from Dwarf threads, and vice versa) ^_^

Thanks for info SirGeshko. Still need replacements by the way. I can be a very brutal DM it turns out. My goal of drops being less than or equal to players killed is still on schedule.
