Ah, that I had forgotten.

No worries. I'm sure there's more'n enough feats I can be looking into to boost me Bardic side of things.

Or, should it come to it, I'll just put both in't the fightin' side of things. "Weapon Focus' and maybe somethin' else? As you mentioned, 'Precise Shot' be an option.

Here, Thalas, hold me shirt...

*Goes back to practicing their 'posing' for said, previously mentioned d'art object* (^_^)

I have plenty of ideas for feats, but how about you tell us what you want to do and then we make suggestions? I see you've taken Weapon Finesse and Two-Weapon-Fighting already.

How about weapon focus? Pluses to hit are a good thing with TWF. It would set you up for weapon specialization later on.

Per +5, Low-Light Vision | HP 33/33 | AC 20, Touch 11, Flat 19 | F +4, R +2, W +10

Remember that you're also taking a -2/-2 attack penalty for using the Small-sized Elven Curve blades due to the size mis-match (though I heartily approve of the Rule of Cool for using them).

The only reason I even knew to look that up is because when I put Suny into HeroLab, it told me you weren't getting any +'s to attack and I had to figure out why... because I'm OCD like that.

A pair of short swords would take that all away. No reason they couldn't be curved.

True.

Aye...I did try that angle of the argument. That it lists 'small' sized curved blades in the rule book and that there was technically no rule against putting longer/bigger handles on them. :P

But, yeah, for something them-antic it's a bit of a let down. (^_~)

Still, the Dm is the DM is teh God. (^_~)

Am still thinking about the feats, just work and shifts and stuff is slowing me down a tad. (^_^)

Much cheers to all.

Just had some surgery so I will get up a post soon.

Hope the surgery went well. No worries if you need to put game on hold for a little bit, your health comes first. Hope you feel better.

It was same day carporal tunnel--so left hand typing for me.

Yikes! Well no worries us Foxes have kept busy romping around the elven glades. :) You make sure that hand gets better!

I have a long post to wrap up Wil's time in the Elven lands prior to our departure, just thought i'd warn you. It's mostly handwavy stuff for you Chainmail but its character related to Wil so forgive me. ;)

If anyone wants something from the following. 5 shortbows, 5 shortswords, 5 sets of leather armor and 5 water skins. Please let me know, since we are going to the deserts I will keep the water skins as extra supplies for us but carrying around the rest seems... Cumbersome. I was going to sell it to a local blacksmith and continue bumping up the party pool.

Just post in the OOC and I will deduct it from the total to be sold. I'm also going to dig through and see what else may be unaccounted for.~

@ Chainmail: I haven't added Wil's horse yet and that was the only thing he used his share of the money for prior to giving the remaining purse to Talon.

Pure Heart (Actual name is in elven this is just the translation)
Is a Light Warhorse with a military saddle and saddlebags. I did deduct the coinage from the purse and Wil's remaining cash to reflect that I just wanted to make sure you were okay with a Warhorse mount being purchased is all. Please let me know and I will finish adding him to my character sheet, he's nothing special yet and I assume he isn't going with us on our next journey~

Also can we assume we recovered 50 arrows from the bandits? or less then that, just wanted to know so we can update ammunition. If thats handwavy thats fine too. :)

Having backup bows for all of us possibly isn't the worst of ideas. We might not be amazing with them, but having the ranged option for us all is a useful backup in my opinion.

Yes its a pain cause we have to carry them, but having the option to drop weapons and shoot someone when we are in the distance seems like a good one to me, especially if we ever have to meet those damned dwarves.

True but everyone but Seltyn is armed with a ranged weapon~ So we are good with that portion. Good Idea though Jestem er... Talon. ;)

Updated Wil's height, weight and Age and funny enough my rolls were random enough that he's older then some of the members of the group lol! Oh well it reflects well with his journal and he is a tall bugger, the weight seemed low but I remembered he's an elf~ They're willowy. ;)

Agreed that longbows for all would be wise. Seltyn doesn't need one due to his SLA, but yes, we all have decent dex and can use them, so why not? Anybody without should get one, and if you can afford a MW one to get more damage, even better.

Please make sure you watch your alias'; you've been posting as Jestem here and in our Kingmaker Gameplay, which was confusing at first before having to figure out the correct character.

Oops, I thought I caught them all as and when I went along. Really sorry.

I'm not bothered by it; it was just for future reference. :)

Male Human Sorcerer

Long or shortbow doesn't really bother me overly. We would have to pay for long, where we got the short ones for free.In my opinion therefore I will happily take what we can find.

Male Human Sorcerer

If I am right in thinking, MW just means that you get an extra +1 to attack as its easier to aim etc. Not sure about the damage.

M Elf
stats:
Init +2/ HP 32/32 // AC: 12/T:12/FF:10 - Percep: +4// F +1/R +3/W +6 /CMB +3 - CMD 15

I was thinking about the ones you can get a stronger pull with, so more damage. I think they're not necessarily "mw."

That's money we don't really have, though.

Per +5, Low-Light Vision | HP 33/33 | AC 20, Touch 11, Flat 19 | F +4, R +2, W +10

Masterwork only gives +1 to attack and costs 300gp per weapon; there is no damage bonus. The property is not required for composite bows to have strength ratings.

From the PRD,

Longbow, Composite: You need at least two hands to use a bow, regardless of its size. You can use a composite longbow while mounted. All composite bows are made with a particular strength rating (that is, each requires a minimum Strength modifier to use with proficiency). If your Strength bonus is less than the strength rating of the composite bow, you can't effectively use it, so you take a –2 penalty on attacks with it. The default composite longbow requires a Strength modifier of +0 or higher to use with proficiency. A composite longbow can be made with a high strength rating to take advantage of an above-average Strength score; this feature allows you to add your Strength bonus to damage, up to the maximum bonus indicated for the bow. Each point of Strength bonus granted by the bow adds 100 gp to its cost. If you have a penalty for low Strength, apply it to damage rolls when you use a composite longbow.

Shortbow, Composite: You need at least two hands to use a bow, regardless of its size. You can use a composite shortbow while mounted. All composite bows are made with a particular strength rating (that is, each requires a minimum Strength modifier to use with proficiency). If your Strength bonus is lower than the strength rating of the composite bow, you can't effectively use it, so you take a –2 penalty on attacks with it. The default composite shortbow requires a Strength modifier of +0 or higher to use with proficiency. A composite shortbow can be made with a high strength rating to take advantage of an above-average Strength score; this feature allows you to add your Strength bonus to damage, up to the maximum bonus indicated for the bow. Each point of Strength bonus granted by the bow adds 75 gp to its cost. If you have a penalty for low Strength, apply it to damage rolls when you use a composite shortbow.

You want to be a sad wizard? Try this out...

I had my MBA New Student Orientation on Tuesday evening. In a group discussion, we were all supposed to highlight "the coolest thing we did this summer". The guy immediately before me ended up having gone on a two week vacation to Greece and Turkey (a big deal, for being central US), and I hadn't done a damn thing all summer.

Will advance things soon. Left handed typing is tough. Happy holidays.

@Elorin Looks like we will have to either PM or Spoiler the rest Elorin. ;)

@Chainmail Welcome back and take it slow boss man. :) WE don't want you straining your self. :(

I also made a long post with the actions spoiler-ed in the main thread I can repost it if you want but it was the actions Wil took in preparation for departure.

@Thalas I thought something was up, hence my little bump at the end of my post lol :) Glad you drive the other day was uneventful besides your boy getting impatient. That happens a lot for me as well, my boy is reaching the terrible twos, but when he wants out of the careseat its time to Go.

Oh, no, that's not what I meant at all. I was just teasing because everytime I check in there's about 12 new posts. :)

Male Elf Ranger 4

Haha, we like to talk to make sure that everyone is happy with the steps that we take before and during the missions. I am not sure whether its a good thing or not. It is hard to tell sometimes whether everyone is happy or not, especially when some of us post less than others. In all fairness though, the contest as held by Elorin was genius. However, onwards and upwards to the next mission. I just wish that we knew which was the less dangerous path, although the idea of just shooting for it and going through the sea route seems fun.

Well the sea route would be faster by far, but if we start mounting siege weapons we'll be taking days onto the trip. :/

Suny and I had our fun and I almost had a fun convo going with Elorin and a tipsy Wil. wil definitely can't handle his liquor and since I've never been drunk I have really no idea how one would react lol

So I winged it and went with a less shy and warm fuzzy Wil, he's a happy drinker. :)

So about my earlier post, I was under the assumption we were still waiting for the Ballista to get mounted so Wil is being proactive and trying to get an idea as to what our tactic is going to be before we meet our ill-fated venture with a Sea Serpent/Monster. :)

As Azlain is going to have an easier time hitting with the Ballista, that means that Elorin, Suny, Seltyn and Talon will be raining hell on our opponents with their weapons while Wil assists Azlain reload (If chainmail allows me to speed up the reloading process. ;)

And Thalas can buff/heal/support the group as best a powerful cleric can. Don't get me wrong but I saw that Talon's abilities would be best with his rapid, soon to be multi, shooting with his bow.

Although this is just an outline of what is in Wil's head. Trying to figure where everyone will be and who is best suited for each task. We can hash it out in here as well. Wil isn't trying to take over Seltyn's leadership merely commenting as he tries to stay useful. Can't really tank a sea monster from a boat and he can't swim worth a darn either lol!
