Tanira recharges her crossbow and shoots at whatever goblin is next (if she can see one).

Round 6

Jake babbled a bit about the moon and the elfs... but then came to his senses.

Jake will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 vs. 12

Round 7

Nothing seems to happen from an outside source but Cil and Jake still need to make the save... Cil shakes herself lucid...

Cil will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 vs. 12

Round 8

Another goblin comes out and before Saronis can hit it, Tanira's bolt knocks it back. The babbling fool didn't know what hit him.


Now with everyone in there right minds again, Cil begins to take her time looking for the traps. Saronis, Tanira and the others watch and listen for any threats that may appear but none come.

At the end of the confusion room another door looms ahead. It is made of a dark metal like the last two doors and appears to have a key hole as well. Several dead goblin bodies lie to either side of the door.

Heal DC 15:
The goblins have been killed from small slashes, possibly from the weapons they once carried or their friends.

Perception DC 22, on the door for traps:

The lock looks to be trapped... a needle trap in the keyhole. DC 22 to disable.

Perception DC 18, on the goblin bodies:

You search the dead corpses and find some loot.

Loot: 23 gp, 38 sp, 53 cp, 5 small daggers, 4 dogchoppers, 2 small light crossbows, 21 bolts, 1 small longsword, 2 small wooden light shields, 3 small backpacks, rotting rations, a hammer, and 6 pints of oil. No obvious magical items.

Perception DC 23, on the goblin bodies:

You find a few more things that were tucked away in the goblin's armor, jackets, and cloaks.

Loot: 4 gems each worth about 10 gp, a flask of alchemist fire, a flask of acid, a goblin gold figurine and a silver raven figurine.

If you have detect magic you would see that the figurine is magical.

Speaking to Cil in hushed tones, "Make sure to take your time... we have it for now."

Blinking, Cil shakes off the after effects of the enchantment, looking about in puzzlement.

Seeing that all of the crazed goblins had been dispatched, she looks over at Saronis and nods.

She approaches the door carefully, each footstep placed just so, examining every detail, until she reaches the door proper...

Perception, Find Traps, Take 20: 20 + 6 = 26

After some time, she nods to herself and turns her head and says to the others, "There's a needle trap in the lock.... She then turns back to the task at hand, withdrawing her tools from her pouch...

Disarm Trap: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 2 = 15

After working for a bit, she sits back and looks at the lock "I think I got it."

Tanira follows Cil carefully - she seriously has enough of all those traps and feels a little useless with all her magical power burned down.

"Good work, Cil. I hope we're through this mess soon."

"These goblins died from small slashes, like from the types of weapons goblins have. Wouldn't surprise me if they fell prey to the confusion trap, and we just walked in towards the end of the aftermath. OR, it might reset and we got hit afterwards."

Makes sense seem we also got affected by it. So we ready to move forward? he says letting the trap expert do their thing

"That would be wise, lest the trap reset and get us again. I am not sure how it is set up." he looks to Cil when saying this, assuming that she has more knowledge of the trap since she has laid eyes upon it.

Cil frowns, thinking, "I think spell traps like this need to be reset by someone, but I could be wrong."

Shrugging, she turns back to the door and sets to picking the lock, assuming that she's successfully bypassed the trap.

Disable Devise(Open Lock): 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 = 17


Cil works on the lock and finds her finger getting pricked for her trouble. One point of damage, Fort Save DC 15 or 1d3 str damage, 1 save to end, for 4 rounds.

The lock on the door is still in place and needs a DC 20 to unlock it. 10 or below jams the lock.

Cil pokes and prods at the lock before yanking her hand back with a little yelp. Shaking her hand, she curses and sways a bit as the poison takes hold.

"Uhhhhh, missed it!"

Blinking, she shakes of the inital dizziness, listening to her heart and flexing her arms and legs. "Not lethal, at least" she says weakly, embarrassed.

With a sigh, she bends down once more , fighting the lethargy in her muscles.

Open Lock: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

"Ah!" she crows "I got it!" as the lock opens with a satisfying clunk.


If no one does anything to stop the poison, which is unlikely...

fort save, round 2: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 2 = 16 and she takes no more damage. :D

The door is now unlocked.

Perception DC 18:
You can hear some weird magical buzzing on the other side of the door. You are not sure if it is near or far from the door.

Perception DC 23:
The magical buzzing seems to be not on the door but on one of the walls beyond. The buzz starts low and grows louder, not by much but you can hear a slight difference.

Cil cocks her head to one side, listening, holding her hand up to the others. After a moment she says "I hear something on the other side, a buzzing...."

"Wait, let me see that?" She kneels down at Cil's side and takes a look at the poisoned spot. Without proper equipment she has to improvise and she uses a bit of cloth, water from her waterskin and her dagger. "This may hurt a little."

Having no way to help with the poison or the door, Quantos remains vigilant and leaves the experts to do what they do best.

Saronis puts his ear up to the door, "Nope, I don't hear anything but I know better than to say otherwise. Anyone else hear it? Tanira do we have something to help Cil ware off the effects of the poison? She seems a bit weak or sluggish."

"I am afraid I can't help Cil any further, that falls more into the alley of an actual healer or someone who wields the power of the divine. I can only help out so far as my knowledge from a life in the woods and its arcane secrets is concerned."

Tanira's fingers ran over the wands at her thigh, which were pretty much the only thing she had been able to contribute to their progress for some time. Luckily they found more, but she had run out of the spells which Zharon had whispered to her this morning long before they even entered this temple and he had never whispered of any spell that would allow to restore Cil's strength.

Cil holds her hand out for Tanira to look at, flinching a bit involuntarily, her hand shaking a little as the poison coursed through it.

"Thanks." Cil says , a bit shyly, to the strange woman, flexing her hand "It feels better already."

Turnging back to the door , she says after taking a deep breath "Now I hear something buzzing on the other side. Could be a trap, or a guardian of some kind. Be ready. "

With that she pauses until the others had prepared weapons and situated themselves, then grasps the door handle and pulls/pushes the door open, taking care to stay to one side as she does so.

Tanira got her crossbow ready again. "If it has a mind I might be able to sense it." She doubted that it did, but it may be worth a try. She lifted a small copper piece between thumb, index finger and held it as though she wanted to see through it and whispered in elven: "Winds of magic, draw and expose minds." The copper piece disappeared as the magic flew.

Maybe it is some enemy chanting words of magic of summoning says jack in a low voice ready should more fighting happen

Quantos steels himself against the unknown, readying his sword and shield.


Tanira puts forth her mind searching for any thoughts in her range and comes up with nothing.

Cil opens the door and the group sees another hallway, though this one is glowing with magical runes. Every other stone has a rune upon it and the buzzing is coming from those runes.
