Tanira looks a little puzzled. "Stars generally look best whenever the moon is dark. Do recognize which star sign it is?"

Tanira circles slowly through the room, looking at the pieces of the puzzle before her. She tries to identify the kind of magic in the items she orbs, cube and the ring. Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

"Maye we should try using the ring..." She bends closer to the statue's finger, checks the ring closely to see whether there is any inscription and then carefully tries to first simply touch it and pull it off the statue. "Though may it's best if an elf does it", she says with a glance to Saronis.

The ring easily comes off the statue.

Tanira's other two checks. Wow they are all the same!
Spellcraft on cube: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

Tanira:
Taking some time you analyze the different objects. The cube seems to be an activation node to activate a larger magical item or source. The ring appears to change the appearance of someone to be that of an elf. If an elf wears the ring it will increase the natural abilities of an elf. The orbs are magical enhancers, they make magic become stronger and last longer, though right now they are not being powered.

At this point the door closes.

Saronis on the other side of the door says in elven, "Stars". Then if the door opens he advances in.


The door opens to the command word and light comes back to the group as he comes back in the room with the orb above his head.

A strange thing though it looked as if stars adorned the ceiling when there was no light in the room.

Those with low light vision (elves):
The stars seemed rather bright and they seemed to start to move. Then the light and Saronis came back.

Walking up to Tanira he seems to look at her in a strange way, at least you have never seen him look this way at one in your group.

Sense Motive DC 10:
He seems to be trying to hide his emotions but he appears to be enamored with Tanira, entranced by her beauty, or even it could be called falling in love.

Cil:
Sometimes you have seen him look this way at you.

Once beside her, he takes a breath and is about to say something when he takes the ring. He shakes his head and looks closely at the ring before putting it on.

Tanira sees through Saronis reaction but does really react, unsure what to think of it. "Careful with this." she says as she passes on the ring.

"It seems there is some kind of 'stars' on the ceiling... but you only notice it when it's dark enough." She sheathes the dagger with the light spell on its blade, to quench her light source.

Quantos likewise obscures his sources of light, wondering what the outcome of such an exercise would be.

Quantos notices nothing out of the ordinary about Saronis, not that it was even his place to, as hired help.


As Saronis puts on the ring a voice speaks, it is coming from the ring as it pulses with the Elven words, "Greetings brother, please take and use my wealth for your purpose, I only hope that it is for the betterment of our race. I only ask one thing of you take my journals to my family, the Liadons."

The words printed on the ring glow and stay glowing.

Saronis:
You can feel the power of the ring as it begins to surge through you. You slowly begin to feel more graceful, +2 Dex, your mind opens to new possibilities, +2 Int, and your senses become more sharp, +2 Perception. The abilities of your race are amplified and strengthened within you. You know all you have to do is touch the chests on the wall and they will come forth and open up.

Saronis looks to those around him, and quietly speaks, "Another quest for us then."

He moves over to the East wall and touches it, an outline forms on the wall and then the wall comes out, revealing it to be a stone chest, which he opens to his amazement of items and below gems and gold. He then splashes over to the other side of the room and the same happens to the West wall.


A book is ontop of the treasure of the West chest. A strong leather cover keeps the book protected and the title is printed in gold, 'Aramil Liadon'.

As Saronis touches the book the clasp comes undone and he can easily peruse it. Soon enough he knows what each of the items are and produces them as he reads the journal.

A ioun stone for each of you no more than 500 gp.

His armor was utterly destroyed and his weapon remains in pieces in a displacer beast leather bag.

"I could use a wand of mage armor, but I already have one which is almost full of charges... does anyone else want it?"

She gets the wand of cure moderate wounds without comment and slips it to the others in her garter. "The wand with that... 'shield' spell is not useful to me in case you wonder... that is... not my tradition of magic." She clears her throat for she does not emphasize on the fact that she's a witch.

I suppose the ring of deflection is in the loot because I asked for it.

Jake go ahead and name what the ioun stone is that is up for grab for the others then. Ring of deflection goes to Tanira. Quantos take the shield of faith potion instead of Saronis then. Shield is personal but mage armor is target.

"Tanira take the wand of mage armor I want these items to be beneficial rather than just staying in our backpacks especially when fighting the ogre above. Jake you can use shield take the wand then. Liadon is the family name his first name is Aramil, we can take what we want but must use it for the betterment of elves. He died here before he could return home and had this tomb created before he fully died of a horrible disease. Quantos see how much of the coins and gems you can get in the haversack. "So we have these new items and such from this room but what is with the water, the cube, and the orbs, you say there is some magic to them?" Saronis asks wondering if there is something more to this room that could aid them.

"I'll take the silver dagger. " Cil says, grabbing her potion and one of the ioun stones. She tucks the dagger into her belt and tosses the stone up into the air , watching in delight as it begins to twirl about her temple.

Tanira slips the potion and one ion stone into her backpack, the wand of mage armor next to the one she already has into her garter and put the ring of deflection on her finger. She looks over everything else to see whether there is any magic in them where they would not expect it. While she is on it she also checks the mirror she found earlier, along with the blanket in which it is wrapped.

"I do have my own silver dagger..." She lifts the dagger with the light spell on it, made of alchemically treated silver. "So I don't really need one of those. I no one wants it I'll take the cold iron dagger as spare." Tanira looks around the room. "I think we have all for now, don't we?" She still a little puzzled with the meaning of all the magic props around here. "Shall we go on?"

The hidden room did not have any other exit, I suppose?

Saronis hands out the items as asked for, knowing if someone wants one of them they will speak up later. "We can stop in here again once we deal with the menace above." He says as he leads the group out of the room. He draws his blade and holds it in one hand as he picks up the tower shield on their way back past the entrance.

He does not have much experience dealing with animals in the past and leaves the green canine alone.


The green canine licks its chops as the group approaches it. It whimpers as the elf passes it first.

More of the same can be seen down the hallway. Dead bodies and their equipment strewn around from the obvious violent end they met.

Perception DC 8:
A small creature, likely humanoid, shakes not so quietly 40 feet ahead.

Perception DC 19:
You can hear the subtle movements of a few lightly armored creatures up ahead, 40 to 50 feet away. You can act in Surprise Round.

He glances at the creature when it makes a noise but leaves it for the others to deal with it or leave it.

He continues to keep his eyes and ears alert to movement, not worrying about gear or loot at the moment considering they have a mission to finish.

He stops after a while and indicates with his hand that he hears something and stops. He points to Cil and then forward. He stays next to a low wall and sets the tower shield down.

Tanira fondles the back of the neck of the creature and gives it a bit of one of her trail rations, even though her equally canine fox Zharon looks very warily at it.

When she hears how alert the others are she get the wand of sleep, strapped to her thigh in a magazine of wands that's starting to become seriously uncomfortable, out and looks around to see what they are talking about.

Ahead the bodies are fewer, but only the bodies of men and goblins can be found. A strange red orange rock and dust lays in piles along the way.

The green canine slowly chews up the dried fruit and meat. It seems to purr as she strokes its neck. Large gashes and wounds line its sides as if from weapons.

One of the goblins tosses a dagger over the wall at Jake and it bounces off his armor. The sound of a little creature making many footsteps in the distance, almost as if it was scurrying away.

When moving through a square with a body or and adjacent square to a body you will need to make an Acrobatics check DC 7 to not slip and fall, unless you just do one move action in a round or less.

He just follows Jake's initiative, "Let's find out what they are made of!" He double moves and at the last moment seeing a goblin he tumbles the last few feet.

What's the black bars on the way. I'd use a sleep in the fashion I positioned it on the map, but I am not sure whether I can see the point of origin (which is the corner of square, not a square itself in Pathfinder)

Jake is that an intimidate check?

The black bars are half walls, meaning they are about 4 feet tall and give cover if you squat behind it. Tanira I moved you up and from there you shouldn't have any problems putting the spell into play.

The goblins both drop their weapons and fall to the ground sleeping.

strictly combat rules speaking ?: No as it would be a Standart action to do so (demoralize). And jake has no feat or techniques to reduce it to a move action or free/swift

Typically I allow it if you mean it that way, you take a penalty for not taking it as an action. Rather than demoralize, make it a swift action and the action can be called 'threaten'. ;)

The three goblins now lay on the ground amongst the other bodies in a bloody mess as well. The smell of the corpses could easily get to anyone... Fort Save DC 12 or be nauseated for 1d4 rounds.

Perception DC 12:
There is another set of retreating steps with the first ones. Then no more movement.

Perception DC 20:
Down a bit of the ways you hear footsteps stop and them come back. They must be waiting again.

We are staying in rounds, for the encounter is not over yet. Since Jake and Saronis are in the front ranks, we will keep it moving with the others following.

He grabs onto the nearest half wall trying hard not to throw up. He gets out a few words before focusing on his own body again, bringing up his scarf to cover his face. "Some more are out there."

I didn't mention it because I wasn't actually casting the spell, but rather just asking whether I can: They do get a will save. Since I cast from a wand it's not based on my INT score, but the absolute minimum required. Which makes the DC 11.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Tanira remains watchful and peers through the rubble, smoke and dead bodies. Should any other enemy come in sight she's cast her spell on those as well.

Ready action: Cast sleep (Will negates, DC 11) from her wand should enemies come to engage.

Saronis and Jake are doubled over and taking a few moments to recover from the smell of death and rot.

Not much movement can be heard and it seems to be mostly from your group, one goblin sleeps not far off from Saronis and Jake.
