othan is ready to move on to the next day

Human Marksman (Shroud/Sniper) 5

same. I made a post describing my action, then Xov followed suit. While that was happening, Thrask was attempting some bluff-plomacy. I think the GM might have been waiting on actions from the others.

Only disadvantage of not following an adventure path, you have no script to follow when your player's roll their dice like maniacs...

Yes, exactly.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

The next day, the sun comes up, bursting through clouds and making each ray light up. The Inquisitives knock on Ebran's door.

Male Drow Sorcerer 5

By the Five Nations, Xov thought as he walked away, that hoax is certainly taking a long time in his lies. I hope he doesn't dig himself too deep. Or, if he does, that he doesn't bring us down with him.

...
...
The next morning when Xov awakens, he went through his usual morning rotine: He informs his contact in Fairhaven of what has happened, while keeping his mouth hidden by his blanket to protect against enemy lip-reading scriers.
If there is any important information his superior would tell him , he listens.
...
...
Once that is done he will try to meet up with Danir and Othan.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

As morning dawns, Othan gets up and manifests his mind blade, working it through various forms he doesn't normally use. The mind is a muscle like any other, and while Othan's mind is stronger than most, without being pushed it will never get stronger. After he is done turning his mind blade into various forms of weapons he focuses on trying to make his blade into one of flame, he has heard that some with similar gifts to him can manifest blades of pure elemental force. He has never been able to, but if he never tries it will never happen.

Othan hopes that the members of this dragon marked house are a little less overtly racist and smug today. He may not be able to avoid hurting them next time. Hurting members of the dragon marked was generally a bad idea, but fools made him angry; and when Othan gets angry he likes to hit things, generally the thing that made him angry. These weedy half-elves probably wouldn't survive a bout of his anger.

Did thrask learn anything from his rolls?

Human Marksman (Shroud/Sniper) 5

Ebran throws on his clothes and answers the door.

Did Danir learn anything from the papers scattered on the floor behind the dead body?

There was something about the Aurum owing him a great deal of money. A certificate of Indebtedness, representing that certain parties owe the dead man 100,000 galifars.

I am not sure what you are gathering information for.

Generally: today is the day Ebran is inducted into the house as a full member with the d'Lyrandar name.

Secondly, the house runs the transportation over water and in the air.

Thrask wakes up and calmy proceeds to use his disguise kit, however to most all it appears to be is a skin oil... Unusual for sure for a half orc but not something worthy of notice...

taking 20 on disguise...

Thrask will proceed to the main hall to await his fellows...

Yes, I saw that. i was working, so forgive me.

The Inquisitive said, "We'd like to take your testimony as to what happened. What did you see, and did anything strange happen that day?" He got out a pad and a quill, dipped in ink, ready to take notes.

Human Marksman (Shroud/Sniper) 5

ah, sorry about that. saw that you had replied to others, figured my not-very-visually-appealing post had escaped notice

"Well, I showed up on the airship, some dignitaries were a little rude, but I expected that with my elven blood being rather thin. I was shown to my room, and then I heard a woman's bloodcurdling scream a few doors down some time later. I went to investigate, and my dark-skinned associate was being assaulted. My colleagues made short work of the assassin, we found the note and dagger of Thuranni... one in each room. Something about Salva d'Lyrandar having relations and being indebted to the Aurum. One of the assailants escaped. I went to notify the guard to send for inquisitors, and here you are."

Human Artificer 4 HP:21/27 AC:17/16 f-f/11 tch

After all the excitement of the day, Danir retires back to his room and prepares himself for the next day and Ebran's formal introduction into the Lyrandar house. He sets aside his worries and qualms of the current day, pours himself a libation, and then goes to sleep.

The next morning, upon awakening, Danir proceeds to perform his meditation, calming and centering his mind to allow for the preparation and storage of magical weaves into his body, to later be transformed into full magical infusions.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

(Sorry, Internet has been slow)

"Thank you, Ebran, for your time. If one of the assailants escaped, we should track him down," he said.

Danir gets a knock on his door from the Inquisitives. "Please, we'd like to talk to you about the murder," one of them says.

Human Marksman (Shroud/Sniper) 5

"Understood. Just let me know in what capacity my companions and I are needed, and I will seek to convince them to aid the House. If they will not be convinced, then I will do my duty away from them."

Human Artificer 4 HP:21/27 AC:17/16 f-f/11 tch

"Certainly, whatever I may do to assist." Danir ushers the inquisitives into hhis suite and finds a comfortable place to sit down.

"Now, how can I help?"

Time to pull a dissappearing act... And do some investigation, this isn't the Aurum... Interhouse warfare is the only answer, now what were the names of the conservatives again...

stealth1d20 + 11 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 10 = 29 11 is my skill bonus, 10 is from Chameleon. 1 powerpoint expended 17/18

perception1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

thrask is going to wander the areas he can and go about it quietly and unseen if possible... GM what does my prior research unearth name and history wise about the more conservative branch of The House? Also anything about the assassinated half elf?

Male Drow Sorcerer 5

Unless he has other, more specific, orders from Fairhaven, Xov will go meet up with Danir (presumably in his room). However he keeps looking for anything suspicious.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

Finally, you asked the right questions.

but I got to answer danir's questions.

Danir:

"We want to know if you saw anything during the murder. And tell us any details."

Human Artificer 4 HP:21/27 AC:17/16 f-f/11 tch

"I was in my quarters when I heard a bloody scream, so I headed out into the hallway, where I saw an elven assailant attacking my companion Xov. I intervened, using a magical weave to electrocute the assailant. Once this immediate threat was dealt with, we headed down to the room from which the scream had come, to find the dead Lyrandar noble. I suggested to my companions to touch as little as possible so as to avoid ruining evidence for you."

"Any other specific details you need?"

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"No, no other details needed," he says, writing everything down. "The last testimony I need to take is of your drow companion, that Half-orc is hard to pin down."

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

Thrask:

Cannon names: Malena d'Lyrandar, and Baron Esravash d'Lyrandar -- the last of Stormholme. Non-Cannon: Varanaso (m), Tilganor (m), Cassadar (f) (Cassie), June (f), Bridget (f), Aethelfred (m).

What was your result, a 20?

Male Drow Sorcerer 5

Xov does not try to stop the Inquisitives from finding him.

GM:

Thanks to the books I think I got a knowledge check of about 28 on nobility...

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

Thrask:
You know everything what it says in Dragonmarked houses.

GM:

Info on the non canon names, or tell me the required knowledge/gather information check...

Right. Let me write all this down when I have time today to think about it. :)

Xov.

There is a knock on your door from an inquisitive. Since you are not resisting their attempts to know what has happened, they ask you what happened during the night of the murder.

(sorry everyone, I have to get ready to go to church.)

Male Drow Sorcerer 5

"Well, I was spontaneously approached by someone claiming he was going to kill me. He somehow darkened the hallway, which didn't matter due to my dark vision. If he was truly trying to kill me, he was entirely incompetent, as he barely hurt me at all. I heard a scream, presumably from the one who was killed, and at that point my companions arrived and my attacker fled."

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

"right." he takes down the information.

EVERYONE:

After everyone has given their testimony, an hour later, you are all called in to the banquet hall. The banquet was serving the best food. The best wine, and the best dessert. It was a buffet table (so the players can pick out what they want to eat, lol!).

The tables all had white table cloths, and place settings, and proper utensils in their proper places. One of the items on display was a peacock, and peacock meat was available. There was even marzipan for dessert, some plated in gold leaf.

male human lvl 2 (varient multi-class rogue)

Othan makes sure he is dressed in his finest for the banquet and probably eats more than he should. He avoids drinking excessively as that would likely end badly for someone.

Human Marksman (Shroud/Sniper) 5

Ebran strolls in, awkward that such a fuss is being made about him, but happy that he will be inducted into the House. He started with a glass of wine and something small from a dessert platter, then worked his way through the regular food. He then looked for a table for the group to sit at.

Male Drow Sorcerer 5

Xov has his Sleeves of Many Garments transform into an appropriately fine outfit, and stores his hat of disguise in his bag. When he arrives, he checks to make sure the food isn't poisoned what would that be, perception?.
If he is satisfied he will get a modest amount of food, but only drink water.

Thrask is still hiding out, he will be using his Chameleon power to help him do so...

Names and info please, Thrask is considering a little burglary... Of the Watergate kind.

perception to look for poison: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Xov isn't very good at noticing poison, apparently. Maybe if he had grown up in drow society he'd be better:)

I wouldn't be so sure... For all we know Xov's parentage could be Sulatar or Umbragen...

Varanaso is a wealthy merchant. He has contacts in Xen'drik and the Talenta plains. His safes are full of gold and heirloom items from the halflings.

Tilganor is a blustering politician. He helps to represent Skyway on the city council.

Cassadar runs one of the inns in Skyway.

June invests all her future into jewels.

Bridget is a successful boat pilot.

Aethelfred is a wizardly recluse that has let his skyway apartment go to pot.

"Everyone, we have come together today to recognize the achievements of one of our own. Although human, he has achieved a great deal. He has returned our Astrolabe to us, which we use to navigate Eberron.

"We know that if he had not returned the Astrolabe, doom may come upon us and the Thirteenth Moon may have returned. If Dal'Quor returned, we won't know what might have happened. So, we toast friendship, and family as we welcome Ebran into our ranks! All give hail!"

Everyone claps their hands for Ebran. And some people are calling out for a speech from your companion.

Human Marksman (Shroud/Sniper) 5

"Thank you for your kind words, and the honor of formal induction into the House Lyrandar. I would like to thank my comrades, Danir, Othan, Xov, as well as Absylon, who has gone missing, and Essar, who succumbed to illness that he caught in the vile place the thieves had taken the astrolabe. Without them, I would likely not be here this night.

In any event, let us not dwell upon the darkness of recent past, but look towards the future. If the House has need of my skills, it need only call upon them. I aspire to higher honor in the House, markedly to earn my place among the Windwrights. For now, drink up!" Ebran says cheerily, then takes a drink from his wine glass.

Silver Crusade

male Human Atlanteologist 10/G.eneral O.perations D.irector 8

Everyone drinks up. It was a powerful scene.

Male Drow Sorcerer 5

Overly sentimental khorvars.

Hmmm... This "Cassadar" sounds like the man I need to speak to.

Silver Crusade

You find him holding a big sack and giving it to a dark haired woman.

Human Marksman (Shroud/Sniper) 5

Ebran stands up front, somewhat awkwardly waiting for a cue as to what to do next. If no such cues come, he will make for his seat by way of the buffet table.

Thrask will pursue this woman until he can find her alone...

Let's see whether or not I am worth the Draconic tattoos inscribed across my back...

I am assuming that I am using the same stealth check I rolled previously, if not then tell me GM and i'll roll a new one.
