This will be a second table for For Great Justice!, because 10 people is way too many for me to track at once.

dotting in, since Melina goes east...

So, what terrible villain do we find this time?

Balamar, Ice Strike (and Shade), Vindicator, and Melina go east while Blackjack, Psykoblade, El Beasto (uncharacteristically silent), Scarrow, and Steel Sentinel go west!

More for my benefit than yours.

You arrive to a scene of utter pandemonium! Animals run everywhere, freed from their cages at the zoo.

The zookeepers frantically run up to you.

"Finally! You've arrived! Please help! We've got the other animals under control, but three of the more dangerous ones are beyond us. Can you help us wrangle them?"

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

Dude, come on...*sigh* Ok, but we might have to beat them into unconscious.

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

Siege looked at them. They wanted them...to round up animals? Of course, there were a lot of very dangerous animals. Bears, many big cats, any number of more unusual creatures...

Nodding, Siege started to move in the direction the zoo keeper was flailing.

M Human Paladin/Avenger 4 | HP 60/60 | AC 23 [+2 after PA] T 12 FF 21 | CMD 21 | Fort +14 Ref +12 Wil +12 | Init +4

Vindicator follows, keep a sharp eye out for any injured people.

You are almost blindsided by a group of civilians and zoo keepers running from a side path of the zoo.

"We found Big Jim! Everyone run for your lives!"

M Human Paladin/Avenger 4 | HP 60/60 | AC 23 [+2 after PA] T 12 FF 21 | CMD 21 | Fort +14 Ref +12 Wil +12 | Init +4

Would we have heard of Big Jim?

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

10 in knowledge(local) for a 20.

Big Jim was going to be the main attraction of the new "Danger Safari" exhibit. Nobody knows exactly what he looks like, outside the staff. His unveiling is a mere 3 days away.

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

ice black the path of one of the zookeeper (using shade if necessary)

Tell us about that big jim dude

"He's a monster! A gorilla bear! Huge! Big muscles! Sharp claws! Run!"

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

Ice gave a sign to shade to leave the zookeeper alone.

Last question and you may go, Where is it?

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

"If this creature is taken alive, can you actually contain it, or must it be put down?" Siege did not wish to kill the animal, but...it was an option.

Melina follows the others, searching her mind for any ideas how to deal with a loose dangerous beast.

The zookeeper is interrupted from answering either question by the arrival of Big Jim.

It comes around the corner of the little "alley" everyone was running from, a woman thrown over his shoulder. It attempts to run past you.

Overrun: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Ice Strike and the zoo keeper are shoved aside as the gorilla bear flees into the main part of the zoo!

Do you give chase?

M Human Paladin/Avenger 4 | HP 60/60 | AC 23 [+2 after PA] T 12 FF 21 | CMD 21 | Fort +14 Ref +12 Wil +12 | Init +4

We pursue!

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

Ice and shade follow the creature.

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

Sighing, the Dwarf followed. Chase scenes were never fun when your legs were a third shorter than everyone elses.

Melina pursues. She tries to get some idea of the condition of the woman being carried.

heal: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

It's hard to tell from a distance, but she seems alive, though unconscious.

You run after Jim, and his longer legs and head start give him the advantage. He climbs a large, decorative lighthouse in the middle of the zoo, and around this point the woman wakes up.

After overcoming her disorientation, she realizes her predicament.

"Help! Somebody! Heeeeeelp!" she screams and beats her fists against Big Jim's back.

Big Jim is 20 feet up the lighthouse, and you are 10 feet from the base.

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

Ice approach just enough to say

Descend! - Command, DC 17 Though, descend is not on the list the spell give, it seems reasonable enough. If not allowed, I change it for "approach"

Command is, by design, very limited, so Approach is the closest to what you want here (unless you want it to just Fall).

Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

The gorilla bear descends.

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

Waiting until the creature descended to the ground, Siege cast Shadow Trap with a gesture and a word. Hopefully it would pin the monster in place long enough to rescue the woman.

DC 16 Will Save or be trapped in that place.

Would liberating command on the woman help her escape from the monster's arms? Obviously, I would wait until the monster is down on the ground.

It would if she were any sort of fighter, and/or you were higher level, but she needs a 20 to escape. You can shoot for that 5% if you want though.

Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

I'm assuming you delayed until after Jim's next turn on this since otherwise he'd still be 20 feet up the lighthouse when you Shadow Trap'd him.

Big Jim tries to approach Ice Strike more closely, but gets tied down.

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

Yup, hence the note about waiting until it descended to the ground.

Melina prays for a second just as the gorilla reaches the ground.

Casting liberating command as an immediate action. Bonus on escape artist is 8.

M Human Paladin/Avenger 4 | HP 60/60 | AC 23 [+2 after PA] T 12 FF 21 | CMD 21 | Fort +14 Ref +12 Wil +12 | Init +4

Vindicator squares up with the gorilla.

"Dicks out."

He then swings at it, striking to knock out, not kill. He will fight defensively and position himself between the gorilla and the rest of the party, but be sure to leave a route out for the woman.

1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 10 - 4 = 8
2d4 + 16 ⇒ (3, 3) + 16 = 22

Current AC 28.

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

I think is my turn again, since the monkey moved in his turn

- If the hostage is still not free

Drop! - Command DC 17

- If she is already free

Ice cast oracles burden (DC 18) (blackened and deaf curse)

Escape Artist: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

The woman wriggles loose and runs off screaming, but the gorilla bear seems to be getting wise to Ice Strike's tricks.

Vindicator aims a slash at it, but overzealously slashes off target!

Melina, you still have a Standard/Move, and Balamar you're up.

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

Siege also tried to knock the monster down and out.

To Hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Non-Lethal Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

I will use misfortune on that will save if still posible.

Re-Roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

The gorilla's mind is suddenly a steel trap, blocking Ice Strike's spell!

Siege slams the beast with her flail, knocking it off kilter! It is wounded, but still stands.

Melina's reactions slow and she fails to do anything.

Big Jim, in turn, retaliates against Siege!

Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

It chomps into Balamar's shoulder, drawing blood, but thankfully her plate lets the claws find no purchase!

Everyone's up again.

M Human Paladin/Avenger 4 | HP 60/60 | AC 23 [+2 after PA] T 12 FF 21 | CMD 21 | Fort +14 Ref +12 Wil +12 | Init +4

"I AM YOUR OPPONENT, APE."

Vindicator strikes the Gorillabear again, flanking with Balamar.

Defensive Power Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 2 - 4 = 12
Nonlethal: 2d4 + 16 ⇒ (2, 3) + 16 = 21

[ooc]Current AC 28[/dice]

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

Siege grunted as the chomp landed. Thankfully there wasn't too much flesh where the shoulder was, so whatever was bleeding could probably wait. Shortening the chain on the massive iron ball, she swung again, hoping to knock the beast out.

To Hit: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 2 = 13
Non-Lethal Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

Ice looks up to the sky in annoyance before turning his attention again in the fight. Oracles burden on big jim, DC 18.

Melina positions herself to be between the gorilla and the fleeing woman, but not too close so she can cast without an AOO. Then she lifts her holy symbol and prays. Her allies feel might at combat and courage surge over them.

Casts bless, +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects for whole team. Lasts 4 minutes.

Unless anyone objects, my plan is for Melina to stay out of combat and instead buff everyone else when there are only one or two targets. If there are lots of enemies, she will instead get into melee. I'm still struggling to really get a handle on her as a character. Right now, she's still a bunch of stats on a sheet to me.

M Human Paladin/Avenger 4 | HP 60/60 | AC 23 [+2 after PA] T 12 FF 21 | CMD 21 | Fort +14 Ref +12 Wil +12 | Init +4

hello?

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Deafened and lamed, Big Jim is an easy target. He gets riggedy rekt.

You don't quite know where the other escaped animals are, but you know one escaped from the Herpetarium, and the other from the Ursine exhibit.

Female Dwarf Oracle/Vigilante Gestalt 4 | HP 40/40 | AC 26, T 13, FF 18 | Fort +7, Ref +5, Will +6 | CMD 22, CMD 13 | Perc +9 | Init +1

Siege tied the monster up. Hopefully between that and being unconcious the thing would stay put and not try and grab anyone else. "Hunt for the escapee from the Herpetarium? Or the Ursine Exhibit?" The armoured Dwarf glanced at the others.

Human Hp 47/47; AC 26 (Touch 17, FF 19); CMD 13, Saves: +6,+11,+7, Deaf, 30 ft; Perception +9 ; Sense motive +9; Initiative +6

Whatever is closests

Or a random coin
herpatarium 1, ursine thing 2: 1d2 ⇒ 1

M Human Paladin/Avenger 4 | HP 60/60 | AC 23 [+2 after PA] T 12 FF 21 | CMD 21 | Fort +14 Ref +12 Wil +12 | Init +4

Vindicator sidles (as subtly as a man of his bulk can) up to Balamar. "What's a herpetarium?"

Melina keeps near the others, but looks around to see if the woman they rescued is still nearby. If she's around, Melina checks if she needs help.

Let's go see if we can find an escaped lizard...
