"I'm coming Dru!" He hollers as he sees the magical energy crash into her. He moves up and draws out his spoon, letting his crossbow dangle in one hand as he does.

Brady's gonna take advantage of that flank, but... sadly... is going to have to block Faliana a bit; he's still in Round 5, so it's not really appropriate for him to wait for her. Sorry, Fal!

Brady steps forward, weary with the length of the fight. I sure hope Tad saved that elf. If we're going to survive this jungle, we're going to need their help today. He quickly sweeps the spellcaster's feet with his leg, and then brings it around full circle to stomp the man where he lay.

As Tad moves to ensure the elf prisoners does not succumb to his burns, Dale moves to help Dru remains standing... both of them healing their respective targets for a small amount. Drusilla is still sorely wounded, but not in danger of passing out if she sneezes too hard. The same can not be said for the elf, who barely regains consciousness, but is clearly right on the line.

Dru at 2 hp, the elf at 0!

Monty quickly moves around behind the half-elven sorcerer, hoping to distract him for Faliana and Brady. The later is more then happy to take advantage of the opportunity, stepping and sweeping the leg!

Unfortunately, there are six legs... and though Brady's technique is good, the one he sweeps is not nearly as solid as he'd hoped... yet another image disappears from view. He punches at one of the two remaining men in frustration. Both of them lean away from the blow, and he misses the one he was aiming at... but in the process, ends up hitting the one he wasn't! That image too disappears, leaving just a single Aspis agent between you all!

No worries Brady, I'd been looking at getting closer to him anyways to start taking advantage of Fali's better attack bonus for punching. Also, if I'm not mistaken the other half elf cast while he was next to me before moving so I can use the weapon finessed kick more than the longspear! Yay! Fianlly, thank you EM for moving her adujacent, someone was posting first thing in the morning.

Faliana lifts her foot and lightly flicks it at the other half-elf, as she starts to temper her rage into something useable. She lashes out with a precision that belies her relative lack of training.

Still focused on conrolling and channeling the rage the other half-elf has invoked in her, Faliana steps up beside Brady and takes a posiotion next to him. Taking a deep breath and releasing it slowly, she takes a second to line up a kick.

There's barely enough strenght left in Dru's arm as she tries another clumsy attack. She seems to be the ghost of herself, a shade of her former skill

Both Faliana and Drusilla get in close, continuing their assault, despite their weakened strengths... but neither one of them has any luck making any contact.

The Aspis agent frowns as he slowly gets surrounded, and quickly draws a scroll from his belt. Unrolling it, he makes sure to protect himself again, as he careful completes the spell inscribed thereon! Instantly, his feet lift a few inches off the ground, and he smiles.

"I'll get back to you in a moment." He drawls at Drusilla.

And no, you don't get an AoO here either =)

Oops, Sorry! I hadn't realized he was casting defensively! and I didn't roll so horrible the first time, but that was also not a roll she should have made.

Faliana gives the half-elf in front of her a puzzled look as he pulls the scroll out and starts chanting what is written on it. She does give a start when she realizes that he is start to float. Not willing to let the man go she lashes out at him one more time.

Brady's eyes light up, some urgency returning as the Aspis agents looks to have a means of getting away. "Oh, no you don't!" he yells, his witty reparté still revealing the fatigue that overwhelms him. He strikes at the man twice, trying to end this before he can rise out of reach.

Am going to move forward partially, for expediency... Dru can catch up tonight.

As Dale and Tad work to heal Dru, not realizing that both Faliana and Monty are in just as bad a shape, the rest attempt to put down the enemy Aspis agent while they have him surrounded.

Unfortunately, everyone appears to be running on fumes! Weapons and fists respond sluggishly, if at all, and no one can come close to landing a blow!

With a sneer, the man suddenly starts to float straight upwards, out of reach, though he momentarily exposes himself by doing so!

Monty, Brady, Dru, and Faliana will get attacks of opportunity, as he moves straight up 20'

He will be casting a spell once he's up there, but going to let the AoO's happen, and wait for Dru before continuing. =)

Dale sees an opening to finally get a clear shot with his crossbow but that thought quickly goes out of his head as Dru takes yet another shot "Eww, I can smell the acid burning hair and flesh from here! From personal experience I can honestly say Dru.. that's going to leave a permanent scar." He deadpans as he taps her a bit more aggressively with the spoon again.

Pleased with his last two soupy efforts, Dale directs Tad to work on the others "I've got the drunk covered if you want to patch up the others?" He sees Tad blasting the man with more fire and shakes his head "Fire doesn't seem like the best choice so far, but maybe things have changed in the last thirty seconds?" He says sarcastically.

On the plus side, he can only go up and down... and he's hit the underside of the canopy, so won't be going any higher.

Faliana out and tries to land a round house kick on the man as he starts flying off the ground.

If she can actually take advantage of Combat Reflexes, and I'm not messing up rules again:
As her feet start touching down, Faliana uses the momentum to bring her spear around onto the man as he move even further into the sky.

On the ground and staring up at the man Faliana decides she is perfectly happy with waiting out his flight inducing spell. It probably has a set limit and the hypocrite can't sling spells for forever.

She takes step under where the man had been standing, and sits down with her spear pointed straight up. Pauseing for a second, her faces goes through a series of gradually brightening expressions, with each creating a small ball of light. When she finishes, Faliana opens her eyes and with a thought sends them flying into the face of the Half-elf flying in the sky above her.

She then grabs out her kukri and lets Sasha take over and natter the ears of the elves off in Polyglot. " Hi, I'm Sasha and I'm a spirit inhabiting the body of Faliana here! What's your name? And wow that's quite a predicament your in. Here let me help! Does this happen often? How comfortable are you? Are you okay with losing a few fingers? I'm not that good with a knife... "

Monty, there is no way to get within reach (from any angle) from where you started in a single move with only a 20' climb speed.

Fal, only one AoO for moving out of a threatened area... even if its multiple squares of movement, it only provokes once.

As the sorcerer floats up out of reach, only Brady can muster enough energy to land a blow, as one fist gives the man a solid thump in the kidneys.

GM Screen:

Once he's off the ground though, you suddenly find your offensive options at range far more limited...

Dale, more concerned about the poor health of his teammates, heals Drusilla once more, almost completely healing the last of her wounds... though the loss of vitality to the vampiric mists he can do nothing about... not to mention the magic acid continuing to burn away at her side.

Brady follows up his punch by pulling out a dagger to throw... but it disappears into the forest canopy hitting nothing relevant. Drusilla pulls out her bow again, firing a single shot up into the trees, but the constant rainfall and water on her string make the shot more difficult then it would normally have been, and she misses as well. The acidic missile still burning away in her side does not help (6 more acid damage to Dru), though the rain manages to wash the rest of it away. Tad tries his divine fire once more, and his aim is actually good, but like the previous time, the Aspis leader seems to ignore it as the flames wash over him with no effect at all... only managing to send up a small hiss of steam.

Monty finds himself with no way to attack at range at all, so does what he does best, and races across the clearing and up some of the trees along the edge. He clambers out across the overhanging limbs until he is close enough once more. Though his approach did not go unnoticed... Faliana too does not apparently have many good ranged options handy, and instead waits in hopes of him coming back down again, letting the spirit of Sasha come to the forefront while she does.

He does not seem in any hurry to do so, however, though he frowns at Monty clambering up after him, forcing him to cast on the defensive once more. He looks the vanaran's way, and starts to carefully cast another spell, intent on sending the severely injured monk to his grave... but somehow he messes up the somatics of the spell in his haste and nothing happens. He curses, and glare daggers at Monty, clearly not done.

Dale takes a step to thwack Brady this time with the spoon, and throws a nervous look at Monty then Tad "Tad you should try healing Monty, he doesn't look so great!"

After 'stirring' up the health within Brady he holds up his unloaded crossbow towards him and points to the quiver of bolts on his side. "Feel free any of you if need be, looks like you're keeping me plenty busy healing!"

Tad doesn't have enough movement to get to Monty, then, with 30 ft. walk and 20 ft. climb speed. He will lick-heal Dru and then move around to be able to heal Monty when Monty falls or else climb up to Monty next round. Please apply earlier heal roll to Dru.

Brady pulls some darts from his belt, and begins by chucking one of them up into the canopy towards the Aspis sorcerer.

Is it possible for Brady to draw all 4 darts in a single move action, or does he have to draw each dart one by one?

I understand that they're not ammunition, but I was hoping you might agree that it's just as reasonable to grab four darts in the same move action that it takes to grab one.

Faliana continues moving the dancing lights around the other half-elf's face, and let's Sasha cast another cantrip cresting a small personal raincloud above the man. Shasha then turns to Dale and starts nattering at him, thanking him for the healing and then starting into the nature of healing spells and if alchemical healing extracts vary in any major way from divinely given spells. While he does Faliana's hands work to carefully cut away at the ropes binding the elf next to her.


Drusilla and Brady continue sending pointy missiles up towards the caster above them, but the rain, and the fact he is moving around dodging Monty's punches, make for a very difficult target to hit, neither of them having much success.

You get the firing into melee penalties as well, unfortunately.

Monty doesn't seem to be having any better luck, as all those blows merely knock free a few leaves and a shake a few branches.

Down below, Dale manages to heal Faliana so she's not quite so severely wounded, at the same time, Tad puts a quick tongue on Dru, healing her a bit more, as he moves over to towards the tree where Monty swings up above.

Faliana, for her part, continues trying to irritate the sorcerer with cantrips, as she not-so-quietly, but as surreptitiously as she can, goes about trying to untie one of the elven captives... but she has some trouble, as the elf does not want her anywhere near him, and starts off by pulling away with an unfriendly glare.

GM Screen:

The Aspis agent frowns at Monty, and at the antics of Faliana below him.

"Now, now! Those belong to me." He growls, as he once more carefully starts casting. But like the previous attempt, he seems to be having trouble with the hand gestures, and for the second time in a row his spell fails to go off!

Monty lashes out in a quick double kick, though he shifts himself up a little higher so that he attacks down at his opponent, bringing his full body weight into the swinging kick from the branch above.

"Well.. no its not quite the same. Alchemical knowledge requires intelligence and hard work, specific formulas and recipes. Divine healing is all about who you know..."

It still seems wrong. Should it not be 2 (bab) + 2 (str) - 1 (fatigue) + 1 (higher ground) ... for a +4?
