Shoot we choose incorrectly! Sorry, Dru!
I'll be getting a post in sometime today! It needs to be a somewhat longer post, and I haven't had a good chance to sit down and type it out.
EM±GM
So, I'm filling out the reporting form for the scenario, and realized that Dru won the exact same boon last time.
Huh.
Anyway, it has been reported, though haven't had a chance to get to the chronicles yet...
Partly because the only one who actually gave me the relevant Day Job roll was Dru! (well, I suppose and technically Tad and Faliana =))

Day Job: Profession (merchant), Traveler's Any-Tool: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 2 = 16 (Minimum 25 gp due to Slush Fund boon from Season 8 Faction Journal Card.)
Dale the Sage
|
Day Job: Craft Alchemy + Crafter's Fortune: 1d20 + 9 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 9 + 5 = 33
I'll be adding in on questions for the Faction Boon once I catch up on gameplay.
*Edit: Ok, Dale should qualify to check off one of these:
(0/2)Identify a potion or other magic item whose caster level equals or exceeds your character level.
Thanks to that invisibility potion:
Dale's alchemical knowledge is able to determine that the two potions are cure light wounds and invisibility.
Also, I will plan to have Dale learn the recipe for that with his formula alembic he got at the end of the last adventure/start of this one.
Using the alembic does not harm the potion, but the process makes it nearly boiling hot (it cools normally). The alembic can only distill the knowledge of formulas on the alchemist extract list (for example, it cannot turn a potion of a cleric-only spell into something an alchemist can learn).
**40g to scribe invisibility into his formula book, and the alembic purchase was 200g, not sure if you add those to the chronicle or not.
***Dale will also hit 6xp from this and be level 3.
EM±GM
OK, So Faliana and Dale should be joining Dru at level 3 now.
(edit: Fal and Dale, let me know if your init or perception mods change, so I can adjust my cut and paste code to match)
Which means you have a decision to make!
APL is currently 2.5 (three 2's and three 3's)
As such, you guys get to decide if you want to round it up to 3 or down to 2.
If down to 2, you will be playing the next scenario in the low tier (1-2) again.
If you round up to 3, then, with 6 PC's, you will be playing the next scenario in the high tier (4-5)... but since none of you are actually in that tier, you would be playing it with the 4-player adjustment.
Again, the choice is yours!
EM±GM
For the record, you guys have been just tromping on everything so far.
The only fights that seemed like a challenge at all were the summoner lady in the 2nd scenario, and this last one a little... and that only cause it was basically lvl 2 Monty trying to solo a level 4 guy.
Its hard making boring walkover fights sound exciting! So I'm hoping you decide to go up =) (Well, that and RP reasons)

Dale is mostly leveled up minus purchases.
On the note of round up or down, if we think we can I'd say go up for the main sake of GOLD! But, Dale hasn't really increased his offensive ability but he did get better at skill checks!
I'll leave the final decision up to those that are level 2 though.

I'm comfortable playing up, especially with the 4-player adjustment. I like the gold, and you've been doing an excellent job GMing these games. If that's what you favor, I trust it's not just so that you can TPK. :)

I'm turning level 3 so my vote probably doesn't carry much weight but up sounds good! Faliana will be taking a level of Brawler for the flexibility and close range support it offers, also she will finally have acrobatics as a class skill.
EM±GM
Brawler? Someone wants to punch someone!
Ok, since 2 of the 3 level 2's are looking up, will go that way.
Hopefully I won't kill anyone! =)
For the record, in 100 GM credits worth of GMing... I have killed exactly 2 people.
Both in high tier 5-9 scenarios... (where unprepared characters go to die!)
Though I did almost wipe out most of a 7-11 table once with a wall of force/cloudkill combo. =)
Coincidentally, it was the low level out of tier PC that saved them there.
Mr. Monty

Yeeeeeah.
I think as a 2 star GM I'm up to almost 20 killed? with 14 or 15 being TPK kills. I've got a bit of a reputation at my lodge for being super deadly.
I wish I had a better explanation than "I just did what the game said and didn't fudge numbers!" but that's all i did. I do seem to have a habit of picking the worst missions apparently.

Oh. FYI, my perception went up to +7. Initiative remained the same. But my knowledges did rise to +12 unbuffed!
Damn I really need enough gold to get a haversack... so many fun things I want to carry yet so little strength to carry them with!

Here what I'd like to buy, tell me if it's possible
BUY

This weekend is going to be busy and away from a computer. There are also so many things I want to respond to that I need to make a longer post than my phone will probably allow, but I can try. Her character sheet however, is not going to be doable until Monday evening JST. I'm sorry!
On a different note, next week from Wednesday to the following Monday/Tuesday is going to be the busiest and probably most stressful week for work. I will have some time to post, and I this is one of three games I positively want to stay on top of but the stress may prove more difficult than I expected and I may miss a few days.
Feel free to bot or gloss over as needed!

Dale will do some crazy shopping as well, and thanks to chaining some ant haul spells he can carry it!
Trail Rations x10 -4.5 0 10.0
Traveler's Anytool -250.0
MW Falcata -318
MW Light Crossbow -335
Bolts x20 -2
50' Silk Rope -9.0
Hammock -0.1
MW Survival Kit -45.0
I got him a falcata to use as his machete, and with his new feat he's actually half proficient in it!

Just a thought here, being summer. If everyone that needed it pooled gold they could buy a group wand of endure elements that would basically be used up in this adventure.
Fal, Tad, Monty, Dru, Brady dividing the 750g wand up 5 ways.. 150g each. Expected travel @7 days each way.. 14 days x 5... You guys would burn that thing down so you wouldn't need to decide 'who's wand it is'.
A thought.

From PFS guide, season 9, bottom of first column on page 20:
Players
are permitted to spend character gold to help a party
member purchase spellcasting services such as raise
dead or remove disease. This includes pooling money to
buy breath of life or raise dead scrolls or potions for use
in the game. If the PCs buy an item using pooled money
that they do not use during the adventure, one PC may
purchase the item at the end of the adventure, paying the
item’s full cost. If no PC wants to purchase the item, the
PCs must sell the item back for half value, reimbursing
each PC for half of what she paid into the pool.

Pretty sure he's referring to the very near death of both Tad and Monty at the hands of Fiveknives.

Also, is it wrong of me to want to call that particular villain Fiveknives Chau?

Okay character sheet has been updated! (It's 5,698 words and 16 pages according to Microsoft Word!) I'll get a saving rolls post in the gameplay thread and tomorrow I'll get the mega role-play post that has been building posted.
EM±GM
Aye, the jungle is mean!
I'm glad you decided on the wand, or this would have been much worse.
You guys have definitely been skating by so far ignoring the signs I've been dropping since the 2nd scenario! Not a single one of you even has a hot weather outfit yet! (Dale at least has an excuse =))
And 5 days of rations for what might be a 1 week trip... one way?
On the plus side, I'm saying you saved a day of food cause you couldn't eat while sick =)
EM±GM
Yes, I was assuming Tad has been working overtime to help everyone, as he made 2 of the rolls outright so was the only one able to for a bit, and it's in his nature.
Note: they were not saves vs disease you guys were making. They were saves vs everything going on environmentally... abstracted somewhat, to just three rolls.
Things like Tad's spell, heal checks, endure elements, vermin repellent, et al, merely drop the overall DC vs the environment.

Faliana bought a hot-weather outfit back in the second scenario. Frankly, with the comments about the heat, I keep getting surprised that it hasn't been more of an issue, really.
