Ya the multiple rounds of invis are what changed the fight. The long term summons aren't too nice, nor is the augment summoning. Always wanted to make that type of character to try but never have.

FYI, I'm currently in the process of moving to a new house.
I've currently been able to keep up with posting for the most part, but there's always the possibility that this could slip; please bot me if needed. Specifically, my internet service is being transferred tomorrow (Sat 19 Aug). This is the riskiest part of my move as regards these PbP games; if I disappear tomorrow, know that I'll be trying desperately hard to get things back in order so that I can play again ASAP. (Hopefully, everything is seamless and you never notice any interruption to my posting.)

Thanks for the heads up.
Always a little tense when loss of internet is an issue! =) We're so dependent nowadays.
High speed internet was declared a essential service in canada recently.
As an old dog... I can only shake my head.
Then again, people have been responding slowly in general lately...
My eagerness to post updates is curtailed by such things, darn you all!

My internet has been awful for almost a week now. It goes down almost completely for most of the afternoon, but starting and ending time are variable. Yesterday it was fine, so hopefully the issue was fixed. The worst part is that I was checking for new posts on my phone, but couldn't do long responses, so I would sometimes read a post and not respond, and then not remember later that there had been a new post to respond to.

Brady definitely can't, though most of us have strength to contribute to the cause of moving you if we have to.

I've got a potion of cure light wounds. If I was channeling the Heirophant spirit I could use a wand but the spell isn't naturally on the medium spell list.

As we near the end of our second scenario (of the six) I hope everyone's still having fun.
Due to how these two Before the Dawn ones are written, we will be jumping right into the next one right away with no real break. Half of you will be leveling up after this one though (Monty, Tad, and Brady)... and it being the all-important 'last chance to do free PC changes', I would ask you put some thought towards that ahead of time... so you're ready to update your PC once we hit the end of this one and we can keep on running into our third scenario (and Gameday6)!

Oh wow, I was expecting we were only about half done, guess they really made this into a two part series for sure. But I sure do see another fight/encounter coming our way still...
Always having a good time, enjoy your GM style very much man. Wish I had more posting time of late but life is busy at present. Dale always has a lot to say on everything.

I was thinking the same thing, Dale! But then I updated my profile and added the scenario title, which includes the subtitle "The Bloodcove Disguise" - that made me think that we must almost be done. :)
Excited to level Brady up. He's my first Brawler; I'm really liking the play style so far.
Mr. Monty

I'm excited to hit level 2 for Monty as well, though I don't really get my super fun toys until level 3, I'm still gonna have fun feinting and tripping things all the time. :)

Sorry about not posting today/yesterday. Today was the busiest day of the summer for work and I'm exhausted. I'll get a post into tomorrow morning!
| EM±GM |
Guys, can I get the usual end-of-scenario info from you?
ie: day jobs (if you've got them) (Dru and Brady have been doing them all day!)
Or anything else I need to mark on the chronicles.
Faliana and Brady have already succeeded at their faction card goals... but if anyone else has a question regarding those, let me know.

Faction: Dark Archives
Current XP total: 3
Day Job: Craft Alchemy + Crafter's Fortune: 1d20 + 9 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 5 = 34
PS, Trying to think back if I got to ID any potions or the like for my Season 8 goal. Or.. does this area count for the following?
While adventuring in an area strongly connected to an element (e.g. a volcano, deep under the ocean, or an Elemental Plane), attune that area to Zarta’s extraplanar ritual. You can attempt this attunement once per region by spending 10 minutes and attempting a Knowledge (arcana or planes) check with a DC equal to 15 plus your character level.

I kept mentioning the potion in the Sanguine Pit, but you guys kept ignoring it. =)
This area is not strongly aligned to an element.
I haven't, I was unconscious at the time!

I don't know if anyone picked it up, but if anyone would have it'd be Brady.

Did we 'accept the surrender' of the caster at the end? Can Tad take credit, even though he was asleep?
Also, Tad is going to buy a few things between scenarios. If the purchases will go on the current chronicle, I need to know how much I have to spend first. If they will go on the next chronicle, I can let you know what I'm buying after the chronicle is issued.

Alright... will get the sheets out soon as I can.
For those eager to update, you will be getting 506 gp (plus any day job cash) and full prestige.
Also, there is a boon on there you will also get that gives you a 10% discount on any and all mundane purchases made in any large city on the continent of Garund (which is where you are) ... excluding weapons and armor.
So you can work that into anything you buy going forward as well if you bought it in Bloodcove earlier... not if you pick it up in the next scenario =)

Sorry to make you correct mine again, but I was so excited about my level i forgot my day job check. Sorry!

I thought you trained away your profession skill on your final rebuild...
From after the prior scenario...
One other thing boss, I'm swapping out my profession sage for acrobatics instead. Just looking at where I want to go with this character, the money I get from the profession check just isn't worth it. Maybe at a different level, but for the next mission at least, I'm gonna see which is better.
Thus why I hadn't expected one =)

*Looks at sheet and scratches head* Huh. Maybe i did? Eh, it's 20 gold, and I'm a monk, don't worry about it. I'll just make sure to drop one of my second level points into it for later, since i honestly don't remember.
Mr. Monty
|
*Looks at home sheet* Ah! I dropped 1 of my second level points into profession and not into sense motive, cause I just wanted the 1 drop for job checks. Oh well, like I said, 20 gold lost, no biggy, I'll fix my sheet. :) Thanks for your patience.

but... but... you're not the axe-maiden! =)
But yes, you can pick one up
She's not a morningstar maiden either... :)
Chronicle looks good. I've got to ponder what to spend some PP on though... I also was looking to buy a:
Price 200 gp; Aura faint divination; CL 3rd; Weight 2 lbs.
This magically-augmented alchemical device distills a potion or alchemist extract into the knowledge needed to create its formula. By gently heating a potion or extract in the alembic for 1 hour, the device creates a few drops of magical liquid. If consumed by an alchemist, this liquid gives him knowledge of the potion's or extract's formula, as if it were an extract he recorded in his formula book. This knowledge lasts for 24 hours. He may scribe this formula in his formula book in the normal fashion.
Using the alembic does not harm the potion, but the process makes it nearly boiling hot (it cools normally). The alembic can only distill the knowledge of formulas on the alchemist extract list (for example, it cannot turn a potion of a cleric-only spell into something an alchemist can learn).
Construction Requirements
Cost 100 gp
Brew Potion, Craft Wondrous Item, identify, creator must be an alchemist
PS, We heal to full and lose all ability damage, regain blah blah correct since its the start of a new mission?
