The halfling smiles. Well, I've known a fair number of bull-headed persons, my lady -- which would lead me to suppose that there could certainly be more than one bull-headed deity.

    No worries here. :-)

    Sczarni

    I appreciate it Opal.

Opal passes the statue and notices a door in the NW and SW corner. On the walls are more nasty murals depicting a golden idol looming over lava. (C)

    Sczarni

The heroes search the final 2 rooms, and they look similar. One does have an altar. On the walls in the rooms and passage are more murals to Moloch.

You decide to head upstairs. Dun dun DUNN!

This was a pain to draw in a spreadsheet

The staircase opens onto a grand hall of polished obsidian and red marble. The walls are decorated with reliefs of a gleaming brass city, a massive sandstorm scouring a desert, and a horde of fire elementals descending on a city full of terrified humans. Rivers of slowly bubbling lava crisscross the floor, all streaming out of an elaborate altar at the far side of the room. Atop the altar sits a squat golden idol, 3 feet tall, of a bull-headed man, its arms raised and its hands holding a large thorned sword and a huge battleaxe. The idol’s eyes glow a deep crimson. Lava flows impossibly fast out of the bull-headed idol’s open mouth and down its torso, fanning out from there into rivers on the floor. Behind the altar, an obsidian relief of geometric forms stretches from floor to ceiling. Smoky forms flit across the relief ’s surface, their fiery eyes staring out at the room.

Standing behind the altar is Hafshi, the cult leader. He sees you, and smiles. A freshly summoned Lemure is standing next to him, and we head toward initiatives.

    inits:

    Hafshi: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
    Orryn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
    Llathander: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
    Opal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
    Zefendi: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
    Octavius: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
    Dex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

    Order:
    Dex
    Octavius
    Zefendi
    Hafshi/Lemure
    Llath
    Orryn
    Opal

My guess would be Zef for sure since he was taking point, and (probably) Llath. But if Llath doesn't want to be in the first rank, Orryn will take it.

EDIT: Also, the description mentions a grand hall. How high is the ceiling in here?
