Opal drops her sword and shield, draws her crossbow, and loads it.

    Sczarni

Baddy shoots another elemental ray (with -1 penalty). This time, he goes at Orryn.

    1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

The burst of flame energy flies from the outstreched hand of the baddy and nails Orryn in the shoulder.

    1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Orryn takes 4 points of flame damage.

    Next round:

    Dex
Octavius : Unconscious for 5 more rounds, then stunned for 1, then blinded for 1
    Opal
Llathander : Unconscious for 5 more rounds, then stunned for 1, then blinded for 1

    Orryn, finish this!

    Sczarni

Moved Opal to Y10 since Octav was in Y11. Orryn & Zefeni are in the same square because I assumed Orryn is flying over him.

Failed, so Orryn cannot charge this turn. :-(
Move action to dismount. Then draw sickle on the move from X10 to U10.

    Sczarni

@Opal: fair enough. Sorry if I seemed snappish.

Orryn has the baddy cornered in the room

Dex is next, then baddy, the heroes.

Orryn, why can’t your mount charge? Then you can attack from it’s back. Or at the very least it can run up to the Baddy once you dismount to make it harder for him to cast something.

    Silver Crusade

I wouldn't allow a rider of a bird charge while mounted without the bird being airborne at my table, so I'm not about to ask another GM to allow it.

Moving the roc up to the baddy as well as my PC to force defensive casting and/or set for AOOs would've been tactically sound, though. I think I couldn't believe the ride check botched so badly and just reacted. That's a mistake I will readily acknowledge and won't repeat.

    ROUND 2 - Dex 11/11

Dex frowns at the spolied arrow, this time he draws one of the magical arrows from his quiver in the hopes that it thwarts whatever arcane shield the sorcerer has protecting him or that perhaps in his confused state it is somehow weakened.

    Attack (ranged PBS, +1 Arrow): 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 19
    Damage (Incl PBS, +1 Arrow): 1d8 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 5

    Sczarni

since the heroes go at the 'same time', I'll say Dex shoots his arrow before Orryn moves up to the Baddy to provide cover

Dex launches an arrow at the nasty sorcerer and tags him in the shoulder

    Baddy - taken 5 damage

The baddy is mad, tries to focus himself, and casts a spell defensively

    1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Due to Orryn staring down his face with a sickle, the baddy shutters in fear, and can't concentrate to cast the spell

    Heroes are up

He gives it all of his strength and focus, grunting deeply as hs finger release the string of the bow.

Dex looses an arrow that lands in the baddy's neck. The baddy howls out in pain!

    Baddy - taken 15 damage

In a fit of rage, the baddy charges up to W10, provoking an AoE from Orryn.

    1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

    Orryn narrowly misses the baddy.

The baddy casts burning hands (DC14), that hits Zefeni, Llathander, Octavius, Opal, and Dex.

The doors open to a covered bridge about 40 feet across. The entire structure seems to be carved from a single red stone, but the centuries long burial has levied its toll. That's an excellent plan, Lady Moonstone. Zefeni, Llathander: you two grab one bench; Dex, you and I can grab another.
