Just a few clarifications, will post a GM post after physics homework is done

Conwall

b[2d12] means you roll a d12 twice, and take the higher, not roll 2d12 twice, and take the higher. I am not that cruel. and He strikes you with a preternaturally strong shield bash. lower it to 2 peircing, but add forceful, and DD+Con to not get concussed.

Ron

I'm actually using your rule from Beyond Heaven, you can split the damage between targets. I'm pretty sure I told you guys that, but it's possible that was a thing that was only in my head. either way, yes, you may get them both.

I thought Conwall was shying away from Blacksmith... I was planning to have Roshan forge different harvested bonuses into her various blades. It's okay, Templar can only take Paladin moves RAW. I can think of something else.

Can I use my awesome DD+dex roll in place of the DD Con, since that's what I'd have been rolling first?

Ron

Both traitors fall, , and you see Tom order the hanging of another, as Roshan gives inquisitorial justice to her traitor. only the archer remains. however, the demon forces are moving in on the ground, in a V formation. if you cannot get your men to form up, there will be many casualties. what do you do?

Tom

As you rush for Conwall, you hear your men cry out. the ghouls are moving to surround them, an dare already trying to drag on of your men into the swamp. What do you do?

Belym

the Serpent entangles Ron's foe, just in time for Beldroth to cut him in two, and your allicore's crystal spike punches through one of the demon's shields, wounding the creature's arm badly. Your boulder... is more of a volley. two of them find their marks, and impale a pair of demons, and damage one of the trees, compromising the cover somewhat. what do you do?

Roshan

The Ladies power does not end in death. You may keep your redemption He hisses, before succumbing to his wounds. Around you, the battle rages on, and it would seem your rear is beset by ghouls, while the demons advance. What do you do

Conwall

you land back on the island, on your feet and unimpaired. the demon line is moving forward, Alonsite on point, and you hear commotion from the rear. what do you do?

Larune, there! Ron points at the last surviving traitor. Spear and arrow fly let loose in unison.

I'll roll this like an order hireling move with a loyalty of +1. With Battle Leader it's a +2.

If that should be a CHA check it's a 7.

Seems like a good time to save up 4 Gambit, whisk out from between the Ghouls and Demons, and let them fight each other.

Roshan rises from Danse's still form, having circled his forehead in blood. She gives Maris and Eleth a look that asks if this is the work they signed up for. Then Francis comes from behind to hack spittle down on Danse. "That fussbudget wouldn't reciprocate. Let's take care of this lot so I can chase him down hell's gullet, cut off his knob, and feed it to him."

The three women nod in unison and they take formation around the archer's shortbow, creating a phalanx in miniature. The four of them cut their way toward the demons in a storm of blades and arrows.
Hack & Slash: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 = 7

I couldn't just fail so I'd at least get XP? I'd have done just as much damage with a Defend roll. Ugh. Here's hoping whatever I'm targeting doesn't do b[2d12]+8 or I'm headed for my second Last Breath. I dunno if I'd rather that or losing another chanter...

1 gambit from Roshan.

The CHA roll to organize would be a 7, unless you'd like me to reroll it. Spend 1 hold to redirect ghoul attack to me.

Ron pulls the hapless militiaman from the ghoul's grasp, ignoring the claws reaching for him. What's the damage?

Also, Conwall, if you're going to attack Allonsite again, you need to DD to get inside his guard

Can I use that defense hold to knock the spear aside for Conwall to get inside? I can create the opening and then withdrawal, and not be the if Conwall takes a hit...

Tom

You have three hold. you could redirect the attack, and open then up to an ally. if you redirect the attack, though, you might want to consider halving the damage as well. don't want another Sheridan just yet

Conwall

Whether you need to DD is determined by Tom, once you guys figure it out, I'll narrate your part

Roshan

you fight your way to the front, just as the men are forming up., a small group of demon's decided to focus on you, particularly as you are the source of this horrific consecration. your blade catches one's shield in its hook, and Eleth's blade does the rest. however, the other two are unexpectedly fast. one strikes down at you, blade still entangled with the sheild, the other brings a wicked mace head down on Francis. What do you do?

Ron

As you rush toward the ghouls, you see the fighters form a shield-wall. without pikes, they will be virtually unable to attack, but at least they won't be slaughtered, for now. you turn your attention back to the ghouls, and get the talons 1d8, 1 piercing

Belym

The ghouls take the bait. Three of them are trying to drag you into the swamp, while he rest seem focused on Ron. What do you do?

Damage: 1d12 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Giving Conwall the advantage (even temporarily), Tom withdraws to the rear of the conflict drinking a healing potion as he moves.

Tom

the power of Iisac surrounds you, and the ghouls hiss, and moan, with much gnashing of teeth and occasional horrific shrieking, but they will not get within three meters of you. out of curiousity, ron saved the loyal militiamen, did anyone save the traiors, or are they lunch for ghouls (the working title of the last ASOIAF book, incidentally). What do you do?

Roshan

luckily, you catch the demon just before it strikes, and tear it's shield arm apart. Francis takes a blow to his sword-arm, but will live. you fall back, the three demons, and one of their friends, in pursuit. where/who do you retreat to?

Conwall

your blow lands hard on Alonsite, and his armour crumples under catastrophe. you split his ribcage, and eviscerate the bastard. you hear a few demons chattering in their strange language does anyone speak demon? and half a dozen move to surround you. what do you do?

Roshan beats her shield with her blade three times, as do Eleth and Maris. The sound propagates through the ranks of the militiamen, and the whole rank and file form into a spearhead of shields and blades filled with archers facing the rear. The point of the formation pushes the line of demons, leading the ghouls behind them.

Defend (formation point): 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 6) + 2 = 11
Spending another wrath (if I can) to consecrate the ground (3 damage) I don't know if you want it to be the ground we're leaving behind (to hit the ghouls as they advance), or an aura around the tip of the formation, or if I can even consecrate ground that's already been consecrated. I'll describe what I have in mind.
Even as the haze of her previous consecration fades, the ground sinks slightly under Roshan's feet, and divine ichor, like pools of quicksilver, fills her footprints. Hebron's presence is strong in the wake of the advancing formation.

Spout Lore (demontongue): 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
(If I may) Knowledge of the tongue of the Transgressors requires a major outstanding heresy. Currently, Roshan is absolved of any she might have held previously. It's a large part of why heresy would be involved in crossing the hellmouth.

I think all the remaining demons are surrounding Conwall's quartet. Didn't the rest flee? It seemed like the militiamen were not currently engaged.

Flashback (I would like Roshan to have an option to veto this):

Ron and Roshan travel together down the causeway, shortly after hatching the mad plan to travel through the hellsmouth.

Ron speaks quietly. Ye actually lived in hell? That means ye must have a trace of demon inside ye. He ponders a moment, then whips the butt end of Remorse around to touch Roshan's armor. The spear glows blue and floods Roshan with fragmented memories of the demons that died by Remorse's blade.

Did that do anything?

Flashback:

Belym and Ron sit in the tavern in Ghostmoor, exchanging war stories.

Have ye ever fought the undead? I didn't believe the stories until a pack of soulless corpses set upon my men. It was hell until some man or another called out to aim for their brains. Only way to stop em. Not much once ye know the secret.

Spend 1 hold to turn Belym's 9 on Sharpened Stones to a 10.

Tom moves to position himself over the traitors, The last thing we need is to turn enemies into a different kind of enemy. They need to be eliminated, not just brushed under the rug...

Someone grab these two, says Tom, We don't need the undead to grow in number as we watch.

Belym

Only two ghouls stood between you and your friend, and the stones took care of one. one blow sent it flying, and the allicore's spikes mangled it before it hit the ground. leash broken, however, the allicore chooses to go explore the swamp. it seems happy, and you doubt the undead will attack it. the serpent entangles the other, holding it fast. however, your stone has enough force behind it to, after tearing through the ghoul, still send tom flying backwards, what do you do?

Roshan

The demons yield before the templar, falling back to join their brethren eagerly. you arrive back on the marshway, what do you do?

Tom

A few militiamen move to beat off the ghouls, and you would move to help, had a great lump of stone not sent you rump over teakettle a good 4 meters. you land in muck, what do you do?

Ron

Without Tom holding them back, the 7 remaining ghouls are about to charge the militia, and try to grab some meals, what do you do?

As Roshan leads the men to the relatively safety of the rune-marked pathway, Ron sprints to intercept the ghouls.

Defy Danger Dex (Con?): 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 2 = 10

That is an 8 if I'm enduring the exhaustion of battle to still sprint.

Withdraw!

As the men pull back, Ron touches a hand to his armor.

Cast Light: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 1) + 3 = 10

As the armor glows with a bright white light, Ron, Merrick, and Beldroth fall into a defensive shield wall. They slowly fall back in the face of the ghouls, lashing out at any that come too close.

Defend: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 5) + 3 = 11

Redirect any attacks to me for reactive counter-attacking.

Having cleared the demons, I rush to Tom's side, keeping him safe while he climbs from the muck

Tom is going to get his bearings after Belym's channeled earth turned him over, and throw a clump of mud at her when he gets to his feet laughing, You're too strong for yer own good!

He's then going to drag the paralyzed men back to the island.

Belym is visibly relieved when Tom gets back up. " I'm so sorry" she calls out. She stomps her feet, causing clumps of earth to fly up from around the ghouls' feet...

... And sending one of them flying. She then dashes forward, making her way through the ghouls' line and trying to rejoin the party.
