Sheridan looks from the door to Claudia, unsure what the path of least resistance might be. "I could hide, help, or distract. Do you have a preference?" Moving quickly, he ties and tucks the bandages so they will hold.

Well, I'll need to get these wounds seen to anyway, and someone at Lorry's may know what's become of the Glimmerglade men. Belym dusts herself off and heads to the tavern to get her wounds looked at.

Tom calls out, Conwall! It's a trap! We must kill every last beast on this farm or risk something far worse! Zoe, Burke! Aid Conwall in the fight! Sam! Watch our backs! Alexa, with me we enter they fray!

Tom will charge down the hill to support Conwall.

Defend: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 2 = 9 -> Hold 1.

Conwall, make sure you add the warrior skill to you damage rolls.

So much for our surprise! I curse under my breath before I address Tom without tuning away from my battle

The wolves set a trap? Aren't they just dumb monstrous animals?

I'm not adding her damage to my roll because she's fighting her own wolf. If we double teamed a wolf then I'd take the benefit

Conwall

You cut down another Warg, and gain another scratch for it. meanwhile, the one Zoe cuts down is able to loose a chilling howl before it dies. More howls from behind the house answer it, the rest of the pack should be here soon. What do you do?

don't forget Catastrophy's +1 to damage

Iron Ton

you watch Conwall, Zoe, and Alexa cut down the wargs. Sam and Burke shoot down another, but the last one reaches them, and sam is forced to revert to sword and shield against it. Meanwhile, you hea the howling of the rest of the pack, and see the figure shift inside the house, moving for the entrance. What do you do?

Ron

No, that's all. Get back soon, and don't let the cultists muss up Conwall's face She says. and dismisses you. you notice Owen looking at you inquisitively, but he says nothing. your trip with Natria leaves soon (fortunately, she had a bit too much to drink as well, so it has been postponed to noon) What do you do?

Sheridan

Hide, the closet is over there Claudia whispers as she pulls on a simple dress. You hear her open the door and say It will be a little while, I'm still recovering from last night

Another voice, eriks, replie In that case I'll eat in the barracks, we have a ranging today, we have to deal with that troll in the swampland. I'll see you tommorow

the door closes, the danger has passsed, what do you do?

I am assuming you hid, if not, that scene will change

Belym

You go to Lorry's, and find another patient already there, one of Glimmerglade's men, badly scaped and with a bound arm, it would seem you gave as good as you got. what do you do?

Ron returns to his home to make some modifications to Selywn's armor so that it will fit the battlemaster. He then stops by the horse-seller to purchase horses for Conwall, Belym, and Tom. However, an enormous black stallion catches his eye. He asks the stableman. That one looks to be trained for war. Where did ye get it?

EDIT:

After purchasing the warhorse, two other common steeds, and feed for the new mounts, Ron takes the Astral Ruby to the local seer. He suspects it is magical, but cannot divine its purpose.

Deducting 24 additional coin for 10 dungeon rations to be held by each horse (40 total uses).

I rush towards the house, to meet the Wargs head-on instead of waiting for them to approach, Catastrophe at the ready.

Tom, some details on this trap would be quite appreciated! Is something unexpected about to come around that corner?

Male Human Cleric 6 26/26 HP | 14 XP | Bless, Sanctuary, Speak With Dead | -2 cast a spell, 2 hold (spend 2 to make camp, 5 to escape labyrinth), blessed

There's someone, no something in the house, Tom shouts, It called t' me as I cast that spell. I see it moving for the front door now. You hold the line here with the others, I will make sure something far more foul hasn't been waiting for us this whole time. Gripping his holy symbol tightly, Tom runs to the house trying to figure out what is in there.

Merrite examines the ruby with some reverance Where did you get this? She asks, and then says Regardless, I will give you something for it. 1100 coin, or, because I hear you're branching into magic, I'll show you the materials for a spell or two.

Conwall

half a dozen wargs meet you when you go around. two leap at you, while the others move into flanking positions. what do you do?

Iron Tom

What is about to happen?
You feel dark energy accumulating in the house, The figure is going to unleash some spell soon

What should I be on the lookout for?
If Zimmran's forces are here in such number, this is not his only enclave. in the more immediate, the Harbinger's spell might be imminent

What here is not what it appears to be?
The figure is not one of the ascended, it is one of Zimmran's greater servants, a harbinger.

The harbinger is almost at the doorway, what do you do?

Belym

No sense in getting surrounded. As the Wargs circle around, I front flip over the line, an impressive move without momentum, and stab a warg when I land.

It is clearly an incredibly dangerous artifact. I cannot in good conscience part with it without knowing precisely what it is, and what it is capable of. I'll pay you 100 gold to tell me all that you know of it.

Is the offer for "materials for a spell or two" an offer to give me access to additional spells?

She pushes your money away These are the remnants of a gate to another plane. Powerful extraplanar creature cannot survive in this world alone, it's insufficient magic is toxic to them, like trying to breathe at the top of the highest mountains. So they carry within themselves a small gate to their realm, through which they draw sustenance. When they are killed, that portal collapses into this object, and it takes the form of a high-energy gem. this is useful to a practitioner of the arcane arts, because it is the start of a portal, something that normally require a lot of time and effort to create.

I meant be able to add to new spells to your spellbook

There is a way to stop it's magic, but it comes at a great cost, and your magic can keep the creature in the house, but it will not stop the spell, what do you do? Give up 1 prepared spell, not a rote, and take 1d12+2 damage, Ignores armour. also DD+Con. Yeah, like I said, high cost.

Sheridan watches Claudia cook with an eerie intensity. Stoking the fire, tools used to tend the fire, tools used to prepare the eggs, tools used to cook the eggs, tools used to hold the cooking surface in place at the hearth, the casual way Claudia maintains an even temperature. Metal and wood and cloth and salt. All of it suffered in intense silence, and all of it at a distance from the blistering heat of the fire. This Sheridan has far more patience, and is more focused on observation and inference, rather than inquiry. He'll wait to see this kind of thing done a few times before he harries such masterwork with questions.

The Merfolk Traveler gets a little awkward around any questions Allison has about his appearance, and seems to give answers that are more to the point. As dawn creeps into morning, he realizes he's got traveling companions who may be wondering where he is, and he tries to excuse himself with polite gratitude, and a final, "You'll let highlordcaptaincommander Bucky know if anything comes o' last night? I think he works with some of your children."

The world out there is full of blood an' death an' the things what crave them. It's got great things out there too, don't git me wrong, but that's a good part of why I can float on doin' what I am. Anything I see out there what's worth seeing, I'll bring back and show off. So you see? As long as there's folk like me, ye don't have to worry 'bout cutting through all the hardship to see the beauties of the world. It'll come your time soon enough, and you'll wish for all the world for yer mother's breakfast, and the protection of yer older siblings."

Sheridan shuffles through the tanks and cages and finds the one remaining deep turtle. "Here, someone for you to protect, so you'll get good at it. I called 'im Kneepad, but I'm sure he'll come ter whatever ye call. Rocks is what 'e eats, this one likes soft crumbly ones like chalk and silt. Ye keep 'im good and well, and we'll have our own little adventure next time I'm around." When he passes the critter to Allison, it tries to nibble on a button on her clothes. Sheridan rubs the top of its head in slow strokes, and it closes its eyes and calms down.

I'm assuming since they were not literally on top of me the consequence is that I still have to damage them to kill them and now they are engaged with me versus running towards me. Or at least I am in a position to defy danger now that they are upon me.

Yeah, I think it does

Allison takes the turtle, and starts dancing around, clutching the creature to her chest. The turtle looks back to you, asking silently Why? Why would you do this too me?. This is about when Ron and Belym get there, What do you do?

The wolves aren't even slowed by the shield, and you are preparing to get mauled when Conwall gets their attention, violently Conwall, take a free attack on one of them, however, you neglected your turning, having turned your attention to the Wargs. Please roll this move:

throw them out, but choose one
you are stunned
you take 1d6 damage
you take -1 ongoing against that demon.

I think our next step would be to search for Tom and Conwall and head out (maybe more shopping?). Maybe we should pause until the Warg situation is resolved.

Are you assuming we've gone missing?

No, I just meant search around town, check the tavern, etc.

We're from the future. You're all victorious/dead already.

Yeah, I think we're pretty much on hold until the wargs are dealt with.

As the group waits for their compatriots to return, Belym asks Sheridan, "So... Could you teach me how to speak with TAM?"

Tom

By your great will, you throw the beast out, and back into the house. you raise your holy symbl at it, and the holy energy bombarding it, right after an attempted possession, temporarily discorporealizes it. it will beback, but you have a few oments to defeat the wargs and rally, what do you do?

Conwall

You twist the head of the warg clean off (well... not clean, you're actually quite covered in gore by now). its final compatriot jumps at you, and is on you before you can draw Catastrophe. what do you do?

Townies

This fight is almost over. I'll let you guys just roleplay together

I may not have Catastrophe ready, but I do have a Warg's head, teeth and all. I clamp the jaws into the attacking Warg's eyes, letting the momentum of the Warg do the heavy crushing. Like a hairy bear trap.

hack and slash: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 = 11

Now's our time, Conwall! Let's finish these foul beasts and see if we can cleanse this place!

Hack and Slash: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 4) + 1 = 9

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

What's the warg damage?
