I was... I was being facetious... Reckless stance might kill you!

Male Human Cleric 6 26/26 HP | 14 XP | Bless, Sanctuary, Speak With Dead | -2 cast a spell, 2 hold (spend 2 to make camp, 5 to escape labyrinth), blessed

So when I pull this sword from my stomach, what are it's stats?

HP: 22/22 | Gambit 0 | Def 0 | GG: 619 (+4026 infernal) | Aggressive 7.11 BM (6.0 Wiz -0 ongoing) | AC 4 | 1d8 | S 1 | D 3 | C 0 | I 3 | W 0 | CH 0 | Spells: Light, Prestidig., US, Shadow Walk

My plan here is really just to buy some time for the rest of the group to recover. I'm pretty foolish (as a player), but not so foolish as to try to drop her solo.

The blade will have (Close, valuable, ornate, precise, +1 damage, 1 piercing) as well as a yet unidentified magical properties.

Oh, its a separate weapon?

actually, I was talking about tom's weapo... but the divine spear is, in fact, a different weapon (reach, close, near, divine 2 peircing) are it's tags

Whoops, that isn't what I thought would happen. I need to retcon my last post if I'm currently wielding two spears.

Female Dwarf Channeler 8 (23/28 hp, 1 armor, d4 damage, 2/15 xp) (Str -1, Dex +2, Con +3, Int +2, Wis +1, Cha +0)

Oops, Ron's post wasn't up when I started mine. Guess that aid won't be too much help :p

Also, our pre battle planning would've included Belym mentioning that she still has a few potions. If anyone should happen to need one.

I can gambit it to a 10. That two extra defend hold will be a big help.

By the way, I'm concerned that this battlemaster/wizard gambit combination is too much. I'd like to open that issue up to the group for some honest discussion about it. I'm starting to think it might be for the best if this is the end of Ron, and perhaps I can continue on as one of the hirelings.

Am I wrong here? I'm worried that my character might be sapping the fun for you all from a mechanical standpoint.

I'm certainly not feeling that - I don't feel like Belym is having a hard time contributing.

Ron's our Utility/Crowd-Control MAN!-bard.

But if it's feeling less fun, feel free to take one for the team.

I was just putting some work into my imminent Last Breath roll, but I'd love to see where Roshan goes from here as well. Inigo Montolla-style.

I'm enjoying Ron.

In my head when I popped the Astral Ruby I was thinking it would put a divine blade on the butt of Remorse, but this is pretty awesome too.

so, Ron... the gem you used... was it one of the green ones, or the purple ones?

Lucky Sixes: 12/12 HP | Useful Links: Quick Reference | Sheets

I'll have to look that up. I didn't mark a color on my sheet.

Might take a serious archive binge... I'll allow you to say arbitrarily.

1 is green, 2 is purple: 1d2 ⇒ 2

HP: 22/22 | Gambit 0 | Def 0 | GG: 619 (+4026 infernal) | Aggressive 7.11 BM (6.0 Wiz -0 ongoing) | AC 4 | 1d8 | S 1 | D 3 | C 0 | I 3 | W 0 | CH 0 | Spells: Light, Prestidig., US, Shadow Walk

I don't suppose I could convince you to retcon the double bladed spear into a different kind of weapon, could I? I really did mean to attempt to transform Remorse into a double bladed spear. Dual wielding spears is pretty silly.

The ore I used was described as only being enough for a longsword, so I don't think there was enough for a full spear. Maybe just a sword?

F Templar Lvl 6.02   dmg:D8 HP:25/25 A:2   Wrath:+3 ~ STR:+3 ~ CON:+2 ~ DEX:+1 ~ WIS:+1 ~ INT:0 ~ CHA-1   WANTED

According to the last reference, Ron "only had gems from the eyestalk demon" This was the gem that summoned Ishtar.

Sure, sounds reasonable... same tags, except remove reach

(also, note that the haft was bloodwood, not divine ore)

Like, a wide, hatchet-headed broadsword to match the shield Tom is giving Roshan later.

Edit: Don't give Roshan anything else valuable, she looses things too much.

Wait, so I didn't have a ruby at all? Did I forget to update my sheet?

Hmm, at one point I described myself as spinning two astral rubies in my palm, so I think I had two. Not sure where they came from though.

Female Dwarf Channeler 8 (23/28 hp, 1 armor, d4 damage, 2/15 xp) (Str -1, Dex +2, Con +3, Int +2, Wis +1, Cha +0)

Collectively we've gotten 3 big ones - the eyestalk demon, and the first two quetzal demons. We spent one to summon Ishvar, and now one for Ron's weapon, and I don't offhand recall using another one.

Male Human Cleric 6 26/26 HP | 14 XP | Bless, Sanctuary, Speak With Dead | -2 cast a spell, 2 hold (spend 2 to make camp, 5 to escape labyrinth), blessed

I spent one sealing Jeslei's soul in it, and a normal gem with that Lydus guy.

I think that's all of them then... perhaps that's for the best

HP: 22/22 | Gambit 0 | Def 0 | GG: 619 (+4026 infernal) | Aggressive 7.11 BM (6.0 Wiz -0 ongoing) | AC 4 | 1d8 | S 1 | D 3 | C 0 | I 3 | W 0 | CH 0 | Spells: Light, Prestidig., US, Shadow Walk

We didn't get one from the vessel demon?

Male Human Cleric 6 26/26 HP | 14 XP | Bless, Sanctuary, Speak With Dead | -2 cast a spell, 2 hold (spend 2 to make camp, 5 to escape labyrinth), blessed

So what are her swords like now? We should keep them regardless, but do they carry her power still?

The one you have? Still magical. The Crystal ones? They shattered upon her death.

I'd just like to say that, even if you're vexed over not triggering at least one Last Breath roll, that was easily one of the best boss fights I've had in any RPG. Well done.

I'm honestly not very upset, just really surprised, you guys did really well in there.

If the battle ended the gambit would have immediately reset to zero. Based on that, I assumed you meant we were doing an immediate turn. We could potentially retcon it.

well, if he was going to turn on you, the battle would have still been on. I leave it to you weather you let him take hold of the godhood, or strike first. just inform me which you choose

I would vote to strike first, but I think his betrayal is inevitable. But I'm happy to go the other way and see what happens.

Eh let's strike first. There's no chance that he Won't betray us.

IC, Belym would've argued against a planned betrayal, but could've been convinced. OOC, I'm fine either way.

If Ron does strike first, then we get to see what he and Volsung come up with for the "Usurper of Betrayal" compendium class!

Agreed, and the best part is that it is recorded for all posterity. I will be sharing it with other players for sure.

And for the record, he actually wasn't going to betray you.

I was curious if you guys would, how paranoid you would be.

Okay, so our next arcs will probably take us into the wider world, so lets learn a little about that. Also if anyone knows of any good map-drawing software, would you kindly point it out?

so, here are the locations, and some questions about each. everyone take two or three questions and answer them (try not to take them fromt he same place).

Your current kingdom, Tanard. it is 30.000 square kilometers, a simple feudal kingdom characterized by small-medium towns, a largely decentralized military (Mostly local militia) and greek-esque military strategy.

There is also Braxos, the neighboring kingdom(32.000 square kilometers). An oligarchy which has a long history of conflict with Tanard, and whose military is attempting another attack on tanard now

(No questions on these two)

then there is the nearby Camrothian empire (310.000 square kilometers), the sprawling empire ruled by one of the last dragons, it is comprised of an originally moderate kingdom, and all of it's neighbors (And beyond).

Why isn't it considered a threat to Tanard? What quirks doe it have? why do the people accept the rule of a dragon?

The Duchy of Eloen (12.000 square kilometers) is all that remains of a once prosperous kingdom, which fell on extremely hard times. it is considered an apostate state by the church of Mersiel because they refused the church's request to establish a chapter within the capitol.

What dark secret does everyone suspect of the country? what trade good seems to come almost exclusively from this country? what do people in Tanard (Or your area of origin) think of Lady Eloen?

The United Cities of the Qrusoss Gulf: (tenuous hold on about 25.000 square kilometers, firm hold on 13.000) a union of 6 city states, joined by culture and a mutual defense treaty. well known for trade and adventure... less well known for the rule of law.

Which city is rumoured to be negotiating an alliance with the mermish oligarchy? which city is most likely to have whatever you need; which one are you least likely to get stabbed chasing it in?

Boqeuq (Area not well known): on the far side of the southern sea lies the strange country of Boqeuq. noted by visitors for it's incredible feats of architecture and engineering, unfamiliar flora and fauna, strange (Indeed, according to many mages and warlocks, impossible) forms of magic, and for it's apparent inhabitance by a race of psuedo-elves (Similar appearance, keen senses, and longevity, but lacking the preternatural speed, strength, and strange manner of death)

what fascinating item from Boqeuq have you seen? What boqeuqese word or phrase has entered your lexicon; what does it mean; who taught it to you?

Male Human Cleric 6 26/26 HP | 14 XP | Bless, Sanctuary, Speak With Dead | -2 cast a spell, 2 hold (spend 2 to make camp, 5 to escape labyrinth), blessed

Photoshop is the best mapmaking tool. I use GIMP.

What is a good port city for the remaining church of Hebron on the continent? What would be the most 'academic' place, where the church of Iisac would be centered?

Where is the church of Mersiel centralized?

The city-state of Welwera is ancient indeed, old enough to still house the cathedral of the dead god.

the centre of Iisac's power... well, Tanard and Bro=axos are too young, Eloen's realm is turbulent, and not particularly fond of clergy. It might be found in the Camrothian Empire, as Lord Cameroth the Blackflame allows his subjects freedom to worship who they please.

the Grand Cathedral of Justice is found in the capitol of Tanard, where you will find the archbishop or Mersiel.

Male Human Cleric 6 26/26 HP | 14 XP | Bless, Sanctuary, Speak With Dead | -2 cast a spell, 2 hold (spend 2 to make camp, 5 to escape labyrinth), blessed

That works for me, though I don't think I have ever been to either Welwera or the Camrothian Empire.

I can use those.
