An idyllic valley, with verdant forests, deep lakes, forgotten groves, and sloping hills hides an ancient village. In the valley of Chromia, mankind lives in harmony with nature and the spirits of the forest.

At least it did, until it was swallowed whole by the earth itself.

Washed up on the banks of a river, you awaken. In the distance you see the familiar hills now sundered in the Catastrophe. A sinkhole yawns in earth where Chromia once stood, and above it, floating in the sky, a crystal the size of a city bathes the landscape in a pink glow.

The world of Evermore will never be the same.

You’d have time to reflect, if not for the screams of a child ahead and the red sashed rebels you see approaching.

*******************************

Welcome players, to the Chronicles of Chromia, a Dungeon World RPG. I know a lot of you are DW veterans, but If you haven’t played Dungeon World before, it’s simple, engaging, and an absolute riot to play. The rules are available for free online. A quick google search will steer you true.

In classic DW fashion, the world itself will be defined by you, the players. Where we go, what happened to Chromia, and what happens next will be revealed by your actions and input. That is, if you even cared for the damn place at all.

I have 4 -5 open slots for likeminded players to explore and build this world with. The inspiration and direction I’d like you to consider are from classic RPGs like Final Fantasy, The Secret of Mana, and so on.

You don’t need to have any experience in those games to join; in fact, the most important thing will be for you to look at the colour palette of them. That’s my inspiration for this world; one of colour, light, energy, and beauty. Dark deeds, betrayals, world-ending secrets and the like will play out against this rich colour.

I’m not asking you to play some goody-two-shoes animoo character. I’m just tired of bleak and desolate settings. Let’s play in one that’s overflowing.

I’m open to some third party playbooks, but I prefer the core classes (yes, that includes the Druid and the *gasp* Immolator). If there’s something you’ve got a real hankering to play, like a spell-sword, then let’s hash it out together with some tasteful multiclassing rather than just playing the Arcane Duelist class.

I’m easily swayed on new races. I love diverse groups.

Updates will be 3-4 times per week on my part. You know how these things go.

So tell me, your name, race, a short bio if you feel like it, and as a RP prompt, tell me what your character was doing in Chromia on the day before the Catastrophe. Feel free to roleplay it out with each other as well.

I’ll make a decision in about a fortnight.

I'll review the book this weekend, and come up with something. Been wanting to try this system, but haven't really looked into it much since I got the book. Maybe this is the opportunity.

Definitely will be submitting. Thinking a halfling peasant hero, probably a fighter that may take one or two skills other classes later on.

Glad to see you decided to go ahead with it. Do you prefer I go ahead with something pre-existing, or shall I hurry up on what we've been working on?

Liberty's Edge

Interested novice, will look up the system: as you said "colorful, rich world like Final Fantasy" I was sold.

@infernalzero, anything you like. Feel free to multiclass into the WIP playbook if you don't feel it's ready. But I am also open to adjusting the class in the fly.

For new players, the system is essentially as follows. If you could reasonably accomplish your action, no roll is needed. You just do it.

If there's a chance you might not be able to do it, we roll. 2d6+STAT, on a 10+ you succeed, on a 7-9 you succeed but with complications, on a 6- you fail, mark XP, and the GM gets to make a move of their own.

Since there's interest from new players, after you've perused the free rules online, this DW guide really helps it all fall into place.

Dungeon World Beginners Guide

Thanks. I want to try this thing, so I'll try and get the ground level done ASAP. If it's really needed, we can swap a character into the "inactive" party or find a dramatic way for them to be taken out of the main party so I can introduce the playbook.

Also as a note: Don't be afraid to roll your bad stats. Being too successful all the time is boring, and failing your rolls does grant XP.

If you're interested in races that I've created off the top of my head in response to your comment about diverse groups, I have a little idea.

The Erze:
The Erze are...rather curious creatures. Perpetual lifeforms, but not the way that say, an elf might be.

An Erze starts life as a form of ooze, without much to them. It will consume plants or dead animals until it's managed to constitute a certain amount of mass. After that, they reach the next stage of their life cycle.

Once the ooze has hit the next stage, it becomes more...receptive. When it comes into contact with living creatures, they create a sort of spiritual imprint on it. It's not to say that a creature loses any of their soul when it touches one, but that the ooze recreates a part of the creature that comes into contact with it within itself. Personality traits, instincts, and other inclinations are pieced together bit by bit until it forms a soul of its own. Intelligent, self-aware creatures tend to imprint most strongly, since the features being copied are more present in them.

Once that soul is formed, the next part of the cycle starts, as the ooze begins to change. The parts that formed its soul influence its shape, defining the structure of its body and its physical form based on those of the creatures that helped form its soul. The ooze becomes akin to flesh and blood, scale or feather, depending on the influences at hand. The most dominant fragment of their soul will decide the majority of its new body, with a body mostly like that of the species that formed the fragment, but every part weighs in somewhat. On certain occasions, two fragments have shared such strength that the main shape of the new body is a meld of the bodies of the sources of both fragments.

The final result of the process is a sentient creature, self-aware, and intelligent most of the time. A composite body with a composite personality, with the body and general mentality of a child and no memories so to speak. The only things that are always the same between Erze are their eyes and thick, viscous blood, both a luminescent green.

After they form, they grow as you would expect of any other creature. Oftentimes they're taken in by others, either as orphans or as pets depending on who finds them and what form they took. They almost always develop a close bond with anyone that takes them in like this.

After enough time has passed, or they are otherwise killed, their body breaks down again into its prior form as an ooze. Their soul is claimed, short of one small fragment. If the soul is particularly strong for whatever reason, their ooze will split, each carrying a piece of the soul that once filled it. After that, the cycle begins again, and the ooze forms a new soul, a new body, and a new life. Many Erze keep journals of their past lives, to be passed on to their next incarnations, a record of who they were, what happened in their lives, and the things that were important to them.

Some Erze claim to remember parts of their past lives...though that's impossible, of course. How could they remember? That would be some powerful magic. An act of god. Or somehow, their soul was strong enough to retain a substantial piece in their remains after death's call.
It's a ridiculous idea. But I suppose stranger things have happened.

TLDR, they're reincarnating ooze people. They won't look like an ooze, nor really feel like one, but it's what they're made of.

Possibly interested - most likely as a druid or bard. I'll think on that for a day or two. What are you expecting as far as posting rate? Weekly, daily, faster than that?

Posting rate of 3-4 times a week would be ideal for me.

I'm an rpg veteran that just recently got back into the hobby. I've played 4-5 sessions of DW, gm'd once and read the book cover to cover so I feel good about it. However, I'm a pbp virgin. I've been looking around on some other pbp focused forums but none have any DW support. I'm very interested in this campaign and would love to join. I must admit that Paizo isn't very easy to navigate so I could use some help with bb code, dice rolls, beginner faq's etc. Even though I'm a newb at pbp I'm very enthusiastic and post often. If one were to post a character bio where would one do so? Here or a sub forum? Sorry for the ignorance and thanks for any help.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hi Zoomzilla, no worries, I was a Paizo forum newbie a few months ago.

*****Character Creation on the forums*****

Please post your character bio in this thread. You can feel free to make an 'alias' for yourself and post it there as well. Aliases are how we skin our different characters on the forums.

If you hover over my username on the left of my post, it will tell you what other aliases I have. You can create your own for your character under 'My Account' (top right bar at the top of your browser) then the field marked 'Message Board Aliases' and 'Create New Alias'. Unfortunately you can't upload your own profile picture, you have to use one of the native paizo ones.

Name the alias the same as your character. Feel free to peruse mine, which are all Dungeon World characters. Basically this is where you stick your character sheet, including your stats and DW starting moves. No need to put in things like Hack'n'slash, just your character's moves.

Once recruitment is closed, I will link the discussion thread where we will do some world building, I will ask some introduction questions about your character and the world, and we decide bonds.

Then we start, as DW suggests, in the middle of a tense situation (which I've laid out in the opening post), in a gameplay thread.

Feel free to have a look how these threads play out to get a sense for how to RP and style your character's thoughts and actions.
DM Loopy's Dungeon World campaign gameplay

Typically the GM will wait to hear all of the PCs actions before posting the consequences. Personally, If we are waiting for a player or two, I'm going to make a post regardless, since in DW there is no turn order.

***** Formatting *****

Underneath the post field, you'll see a box saying 'How to format your text [show]'

When you hit that magic button, you'll see everything you need.

For quick reference, you can perform a roll simply through the following style code:
[_dice= What the roll is for] 2d6 + 1d8 + 3 [/_dice]

Without the underscores that becomes the following:

What the roll is for: 2d6 + 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6, 1) + (1) + 3 = 11

If you have any more questions feel free to ask anyone here :)

(btw, 'dotting' means marking a thread with a blank post. You'll notice when you browse the forums that this thread will have a 'dot' after the title because you've posted in it.)

Infernal Zero here. Just thought I'd use this for the sake of demonstration.

Formatting instructions for your text can be found below the postbox in a spoiler. You should get used to them quickly enough. If you want to just put up a bio for your character, just follow the rules Lichkicker set out.

Lichkicker1 wrote:

You're free to concoct a race if you like. My Erze above got given the go-ahead, as long as they're oozy. Slime people are fun.

If you're actually going to put a full thing together like this, you want an alias, like what I have here. Just click on the portrait and you can look it over - people will format them in their own ways, naturally, but here's how I've been handling mine.

If you want to make an alias, you should go into the "My Account" section. Look below "Personal Settings" and "Messageboard Settings", and you'll find "Messageboard Aliases". Click "New Alias", and plug a name in, and confirm it, and you'll have a new alias. If you choose to go looking through the image bank after you've put your chosen name in, that'll also confirm the creation of it. You can't use the same name as another user or alias. Once you've posted with your alias, you can't delete it. Once you've made 10 posts with it, you can't rename it. You can always change the profile image though.

After that, just go to the profile tab on your alias and click the edit button, and you can start filling things in. I'd suggest linking to the alias in a post here if you make one - how to link is in the formatting help.

For general PbP guides, you can look at Doomed Hero's guide. Building on it is Painlord's guide. They both have Pathfinder in mind, but there's still useful info there.
If anyone else would like to chime in, then please do, but is all from me for now. If you have any questions Zoom, go ahead and ask.

EDIT: Lichkicker ninja'd me. Of course.

I have never tried Dungeon World but name dropping Final Fantasy and Secret of Mana is a surefire way of getting me interested!

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'll get started tonight.

Dark Archive

Hi there! =)

I like this "tired of bleak and desolate settings" idea that you have.

I also like delving into the base classes. I've never played a base Wizard, and I'd like to give it a chance, but it's always seemed that if I'm not playing a Mage, people will point at me and laugh and throw raw meat and fixins at me.

Hence, let's kick off this crazy-nuts delve into happiness and normality with Rankev "Power" Davis, a human Wizard specializing in the odd branch of healing magic. He's successfully scribed several minor clerical spells, and believes with enough power he can unlock the secret of the whole Divine sphere of magic. This will allow him to unleash the massive potential of world's mightiest wizards to also becomes the world's most powerful healers. By combining the two diverse schools, he hopes to find a spell to wipe out not just every disease known, and not just give every person (who wants it) immortality, but even freedom from hunger, thirst, sleep, and boredom.

He was in the Great Library, researching an arcane semantic substitute for wolf's bane, but was distracted and ended up reading about techniques for mining diamond dust.

Hey! I'm just now looking into DW (got the paperback last night) after playing a oneshot with premades at my local store.

Never participated in a PbP game before so forgive me if I'm not 100% up to snuff on the particulars of PbP games.

On to business then...

===================================================================

Lewyn of Galonde had just ridden into the valley looking a bit worse for wear but otherwise his usual cheery elven self. He looked forward to the soft bed and warm meal that awaited him in the local inn.

As the wagon carrying him and his meager possessions rolled forward, drawn by an old but well cared for horse, he pulled out his fiddle and began playing a song. A light-hearted tune to complement the wonderful day in the valley.

He carried the song with him into the inn and hopped up onto the bar, stamping out a jig and making merry the patrons. He enjoyed seeing the faces of the people smiling and laughing wherever he went.

After his performance he dealt with the innkeep: food, drink, and a place to sleep in exchange for his song and entertainment.

Hey Artemis. Nice to see you here.
Lichkicker asked what race everyone will be playing in the opening post, and I don't see yours here. What's it going to be?

D'Oh! My mistake. Made a small edit to my post but i'll state it here as well. I'll be playing an Elf

Onick, Paragon of the North is a Human Paladin from the northern highlands. As a boy on the cusp of manhood his tribe thought him possessed by spirits and he was given over to a hermit sorcerer for healing. The hermit saw something within young Onick and taught him of Tormos, God of Truth and Light. It was clear to this hermit that the boy had a gift called The Sight. He could see evil in people's souls and call forth great strength when battling that evil. After many years of learning from the hermit Onick was called by Tormos to do his work in strange lands. The further he travels through the world the stronger his resolve becomes to bring light to the darkness.

Onick had been on the run for weeks evading those imbeciles he'd saved from the demons in human form. They knew nothing of the danger they'd avoided because of Onick's quick wits and quicker steel. "Murder", they called it. You don't murder a demon, you dispatch it before it can set it's evil loose upon the land.
It was times like these that Onick grew tired of the Sight. If only everyone could see the evil lurking in the world the way he could since that fateful day so many years ago they would not so easily dismiss his claims. One day Tarmos the Truthgiver would see fit to take their petty lives and show them how right Onick had been all this time.
But all that was in the past now. The all knowing Tarmos had guided him through treacherous mountains, swollen rivers and driving snow and finally to this incredible verdant valley. The beauty of this place was undeniable. It felt safe and warm. Onick decided it would be a good time for a rest and a peaceful meal. A spot over by that moss covered rock in the shade to rest his weary muscles would be just what he needed...

[OOC] Still working on my formatting and getting an alias completed but I should have it down in the next couple days.

Greetings. We, Aranon and I, are both dotting for interest. We both have had some experience with Dungeon World. Our petition would be a joint one.

I am considering Chandrelle Kelvaris, a Half-Elven Cleric of Rheran, Goddess of Magic and Aranon is considering Phaendar Kelvaris an Elven Lightning Wizard. They are half-siblings.

More to come in the next few days...

Hi!

I am the latter half of this joint petition. I will be taking on the role of Phaendar Kelvaris, Elven Lightning Wizard and half brother to Chandrelle.

Here's Teren, a human druid from the Hills of Gold and Green (the Whispering Plains, mechanically). Teren spent The Day Before in Chromia, discussing how to handle the impending migration of the Manabeasts with the local farmers (Chroman druids don't have as antagonistic a relationship with civilization as some others; like anything else, mankind is part and parcel of the world, and some gentle management here and there is usually all that's required.) Teren's tell is a distinctive dark-and-white series of markings around his eyes, similar to a ferret.

(This is Sbodd's character. Hi lichkicker! I was Marcan in Bolgrond's sadly-defunct Runelords game.)

Great to have you all. This is going to be a harder process than I thought!

@sbodd, a shame about that game. I thought we were just getting started too!

Depending on numbers I may open a second table. But I'll make that call when recruitment finishes up.

As a heads up, I hate never levelling up in pbp games. I'm probably going to run the 'end of session' move around once a month.

Better make good pace then.

Finally. Infernal here, with Laguna Harvey, Erze Dark Knight. Glad I'm allowed to try this out here.

Laguna is a lieutenant in the local guard. Not like he's ever called in to deal with anything serious, not here, but there isn't a place in the world that doesn't have its troublemakers. They only need scolding a bit.

He's rather friendly, and fiercely protective. Guess that's the dog at work. He's managed to earn himself something of a reputation for the way he'll talk you into doing things so easily, but after the initial period of distrust, he found a home in Chromia. Things were looking up, before the Catastrophe hit.

Before the Catastrophe occured, he was playing fetch with some of the kids, as he usually ended up doing. They enjoyed it, and he did too. Though, that wasn't the only thing, of course.

=======================

"Gotcha! Got it before it hit the ground! Nice!" Laguna walks back towards the kids, stick caught by one of his hair tendrils. Never did find out where they came from. Not a problem. He pulls it from his head, and hands it back. "Alright, one more time guys! Let's...huh?" Out of the blue, music started playing. Sounded pretty good too. Ooh, maybe it's a bard! "I think someone interesting's come to town. Let's go greet him, come on!" Gesturing enthusiastically, he walked toward the sound.

As he rounds the corner, he sees an elf with a fiddle playing along...and walking into the bar. Dammit. But there was someone else. A weary looking man, under a tree by the rock. And something felt strange about him. "Sorry guys, we missed the bard. But I just saw him go into the inn! Bet you can see him perform if you get in! Don't worry, I won't tell. Just don't drink anything strange!"

The kids rush off to the bard - hope he puts on a good show, the kids seemed to like the music - and Laguna walks toward the tree. By the newcomer, he takes a seat. Looks like he's armed. Hope he doesn't do anything.

Laguna looks to Onick. "Nice day, isn't it? What brings you here?"
When and if Onick looks at Laguna, he'll see some blue ooze person, with glowy green eyes and a wolfish snout, wearing black armour and carrying some big poleaxe. Currently, they're grinning like a maniac.
This tends to get varied reactions.

RP Response obviously not required, but if you're keeping track, I'm trying to talk to Onick and sent a load of kids into the inn after Lewyn.

Chandrelle Kelvaris

Bio:
Chandrelle was the daughter of a elven noble woman, Imra Kelvaris and a human Ranger, Garvas. She also has a half-brother, Phaendar, an elven wizard.

Chandrelle shied away from the arcane magics of her elven side and would come to find comfort within the divine. While she had a privileged upbringing, she was often reminded of her human side by the elven nobility. It suited Chandrelle just fine as she found her own interests.

In her early teens while out exploring in the outer reaches she came upon an old but surprisingly intact stone structure. Within she found an old temple and it was there she first heard Rhearn, Goddess of Magic, speak with her. Within those same ruins she found an ancient holy symbol of Rhearn, something she wears and treasures deeply.

She returned to the old temple often and over time learned small bits of the divine. It was after several visits that Chandrelle found others of Rhearn and told them of her find. Many knew of the old ruins but none visited any more, as the shrine within the elven village of Thyscalen suited them fine. They would return to the old temple and found it a renewal of their faith.

She joined the faith and would be schooled in the traditions. As she grew she would seek training to become a Warden of Rhearn, one who seeks out and preserves old magic.

Now eighteen she often travels with her brother as he seeks out his artifacts and tries to keep his hunger for magics under control.

What was I doing in Chromia...:
Chandrelle was with her brother Phaendar as they were searching for Talisman of Reluctant Wishes. He seemed to have reliable information this time from his father's Order. The pair found the Talisman within the depths of the Kolid Catacombs, on the outskirts of Chromia. After many of their own trials and tribulations they emerged just as a violent rumbling began and a searing light appeared within the sky. The pair looked to one another and grasp hands as Phaerdar reluctantly wished them to their homeland... they awoke washed up on the river shores...

Starting Moves

Your faith is diverse. You can cast Dispel Magic and be granted that spell as if it was a cleric spell.

You start with these moves:

Deity Rhearn, Goddess of Magic

Rhearn and those who worship her are no longer looked upon kindly as it they who are blamed for the Catastrophe. Those of Rhearn preach that the use magic do no harm to others, save of self defense. They seeks out and preserve old magic, while making sure those that use the weave do not abuse it.

Petition: Guardianship of Magic

Divine Guidance When you petition your deity according to the precept of your religion, you are granted some useful knowledge or boon related to your deity’s domain. The GM will tell you what.

Turn Undead When you hold your holy symbol aloft and call on your deity for protection, roll+Wis.
✴ On a 7+, so long as you continue to pray and brandish your holy symbol, no undead may come within reach of you.
✴ On a 10+, you also momentarily daze intelligent undead and cause mindless undead to flee. Aggression breaks the effects and they are able to act as normal. Intelligent undead may still find ways to harry you from afar. They’re clever like that.

Commune When you spend uninterrupted time (an hour or so) in quiet communion with your deity, you:
- Lose any spells already granted to you.
- Are granted new spells of your choice whose total levels don’t exceed your own level+1, and none of which is a higher level than your own level.
- Prepare all of your rotes, which never count against your limit.

Cast a Spell
When you unleash a spell granted to you by your deity, roll+Wis.
✴ On a 10+, the spell is successfully cast and your deity does not revoke the spell, so you may cast it again.
✴ On a 7–9, the spell is cast, but choose one:
- You draw unwelcome attention or put yourself in a spot. The GM will tell you how.
- Your casting distances you from your deity—take -1 ongoing to cast a spell until the next time you commune.
- After you cast it, the spell is revoked by your deity. You cannot cast the spell again until you commune and have it granted to you.

Bio:
Phaendar Kelvaris, Elven Wizard, son of Imra Kelvaris, noblewoman, and Alindar Veranas, Wizard of the Order of the Red Cloak, and later, half-brother to Chandrelle, the child of his elven mother and a human man. Phaendar shares an interest in the arcane with that of his father, prefering to read old tomes in his father's study over watching his mother handle disputes with the other members of the court.

His father was rather obsessed with obtaining rare and powerful artifacts to add to the vast collection of the Order of the Red Cloak, and because of this, his adventuring kept him from home and away from his extensive personal library where Phaendar whiled away most of his time.

As he read more and more about these powerful magics, and as he progressed in his wizard training, he started to feel a sort of... hunger. A hunger for power. He'd read of mighty archwizards who could unravel empires or topple mountains. He wanted to do these things. No. He needed to. While his father was content giving these items of legend to the Order for safekeeping and study, Phaendar was to seek out ways to further his own abilities, to not study old things, but to have stories written about him. Not to learn history, but to make it.

What was I doing in Chromia:
Phaendar's father Alindar had been declared missing after leaving for one of his adventures for the Order. It took months before anyone even noticed he was gone, and years before anyone even considered looking for him. After 5 years without Alindar, Phaendar's mother Imra had moved on. She felt it had been too long, and she had given up hope.

Thus he decided to make it his personal mission to find his father, but he new he needed to better himself if he intended to face whatever had detained Alindar.
He fled to his father's study in an attempt to find some item of power that would give him the strength he required. And maybe a little extra, too.

While frantically flipping through every book he could, he came across an item called the Talisman of Wishes. It seemed too good to be true, he couldn't pass it up. However, The book made no mention of a location, so off to the Order he went. They would certainly have the knowledge he sought.

He contacted some colleagues of his fathers' and practically interrogated them for information. Apparently the Order had already heard of this item and knew where to find it, though none dared go for it as they didn't know the possible dangers.

With this newfound information in hand, Phaendar felt he would need some help. He went to his half sister Chandrelle, who had become a Cleric and Warden of Rhearn. She agreed, presumably because she felt she needed to keep me out of trouble, and, seeing as she had gone with him on many others adventures he knew he could trust her. And so they set out for the Kholid Catacombs.

After making their way through many trials and tribulations, the pair emerged just as the earth began to violently shake, causing cracks to appear in the ground. An incandescent light filled Phaendars vision, and he realized they wouldn't be able to escape. He clenched Chandrelle's hand and made a split second decision. He grasped the talisman tightly in his other hand, and thought as hard as he could, "I wish to be home."

They awoke on the river shores...

Still waiting for a few submissions. I'll be making a discussion thread next weekend to start the world building and bonds before we kick off the campaign.

Waiting for Character submission:
Sapiens
The Pale King
Scranford
Wanderer

Trying to finish up the alias of this character and damn, I sure don't want to type out the starting moves verbatim. I'm using the pdf, does anyone have an easy way to copy and paste starting moves? I'd like to put them into spoiler form.

Just copy from here, and take the spaces out of the brackets:

[ spoiler=Moves]
[b ]Quest[/b]
When you dedicate yourself to a mission through prayer and ritual cleansing, state what you set out to do:
• Slay X, a great blight on the land.
• Defend X from the iniquities that beset them.
• Discover the truth of X.
Then choose up to two boons:
• An unwavering sense of direction to X.
• Invulnerability to X (edged weapons, fire, enchantment, etc.)
• A mark of divine authority.
• Senses that pierce lies.
• A voice that transcends language.
• Freedom from hunger, thirst, and sleep.
The GM will then tell you what vow orvows is required of you to maintain your blessing:
• Honor (forbidden: cowardly tactics and tricks)
• Temperance (forbidden: gluttony in food, drink, and pleasure of the flesh)
• Piety (required: observance of daily holy services)
• Valor (forbidden: suffering an evil creature to live)
• Truth (forbidden: lies)
• Hospitality (required: comfort to those in need, no matter who they are)

[ b]I Am The Law[/b]
When you give an NPC an order based on your divine authority, roll+Cha. • On a 7+, they choose one:
• Do what you say.
• Back away cautiously, then flee.
• Attack you.
On a 10+, you also take +1 forward against them. On a miss, they do as they please and you take -1 forward against them.

[ b]Lay On Hands (CHA)[/b]
When you touch someone, skin to skin, and pray for their well-being, roll+CHA. On a 10+ you heal 1d8 damage or remove one disease. • On a 7–9, they are healed, but the damage or disease is transferred to you.

[ b]Armored[/b]
You ignore the clumsy tag on armor you wear.
[ /spoiler]

And more generally, the core rules are online in several places; you can copy paste from http://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/.

Awesome thanks!

How do you work two tables? I'm new to pbp sorry.

Hi friends, tough call.

I was thinking of running two tables, but a few people dropped out.

So I'll be going ahead with

  • Laguna
  • Onick
  • Teren
  • Rankev
  • Lewyn

Discussion thread should be up in the next day or so.

I really enjoyed the HalfElf/Elf combo but a dual submission means it's harder to say yes to both of you guys. Good luck, and if we get players drop out through attrition you'll be top of the list.

    Can't wait to get started!

  • The discussion thread is up! You won't believe this one weird trick. GMs hate him. Your favourite Disney Princesses as dungeon items. etc etc

    Dark Archive

Aw, looks like you have your people. If anyone drops out or a second table looks like it'll start up again, please let me know.

    Likewise, and ditto.

The Fifth spot, previously occupied by PrinceArtemis' Lewyn the Bard has now opened up again.

Hippos, Zenfox, I'd love to hear your applications.

Do you allow "supplemental" classes? If so, how about a Dwarven Psion?

Due to his unique abilities (no one in his clan had ever experienced a Psion before), he was outcast a few years after they developed. Not having a clan to belong to (a terrible state for a Dwarf to be in), he took to wandering the lands on his own, using his abilities to forge understanding between opposing parties, in part to have at least a fleeting feeling of belonging to a group.

Then, in his random wanderings, he came across this unusual group of...well, people, for lack of a better term. He's thinking that they might accept him for what he is, and he would have no problem accepting them...

(Leaving the bonds for later, if I get in.)

Come on! Just because I have an oozy, canid face doesn't mean you should be rude! That was uncalled for!

Do you have a link to the playbook? It would just depend on how the class is written frankly.

In the interest of keeping things moving, I think this is it. Page 32.

    Yes, that's it.

And Laguna - I thought I was being rather polite, considering... :)

...I need to talk to Teren. Insulting foxes are out of my area of expertise.

So, Lichkicker - is the Psion class ok?

Sure, I've had a look through it and it doesn't appear harmful.

I'll give hippos until end of the weekend to respond.

I'll toss in a submission as well.
Katrina Gelavny, Noble and her loyal assistant Orgir Hreddison, Fighter.

The Noble playbook should be in the same file as the Psion.

Do you mind filling us in on Katrina and Orgir? We've got names, but race, and what you were doing on the day before the Catastrophe were originally requested. Short bio if you want.

Oh yeah. Give me a bit, sorry.
