Kalak finds the goblins still sitting tight, somewhat nonplussed about the entire situation.
Hullric and Grynt tie up the prisoners. Given the situation, they opt for a preemptive confession, "We are new to the organization. We were just following the orders of our commanding officer. Enrik pushed us to join him in taking vengeance for his lost family. I don't think Darkwine knows what's going on here. Please, please don't kill us. We'll pay our penalty."
Hullric Torsol |
"I'm not much for murder. The question is what do we do with them?" Hullric ask the others.
Zailus el-Isi |
Zailus looks on the prisoners with some pity. "I say we give them some supplies, point them in the direction of the nearest lodge and let them go. If they truly were just following orders then they should turn themselves in, as they are more likely to be forgiven that way. If they weren't... well what happens then is their own faults."
His face hardens as he continues. "But, they should also know we will be including a report of what happened here in our chronicles, and I, for one, will be including a full description of their faces and names!" He takes a moment to sit down and with a plaque of wood and his lit finger, tries to burn a likeness of each of the prisoners onto the wood.

No other threats confront you after Enrik’s betrayal, and you are able to deliver yourr captives to the extraction team just outside the heavily walled and densely populated city of Trollheim. The goblins give a last worried look over their shoulders before they’re hustled away....
Do you want to turn in your likeness and report Ironjaw? You think your burned likeness is good enough, and you know their names.
Grynt |
Grynt shrugs. "Matters not to me...got a good meal and our charges were unharmed...and I got a nice scar from the hand axe...
Whatever the group decides is fine by me...other than the leader, I see no reason to mention the others...one of them already paid with his life..."
Hullric Torsol |
"We should report Ironjaw at least. He instigated the entire betrayal."
Kalak Chei |
"We must report Ironjaw and let the Society know that these kinds of plots may be happening in the area. I would report everything in detail. I trust the leaders' judgement. They can decide what to do about it and whether being lenient is suitable."
Zailus el-Isi |
"I agree with Kalak here! The men may have been acting on orders, but the Society should know about it nonetheless!" Zailus seeing at least half of the group in agreement with handing in information on Ironjaw and his subordinates, Zailus does just that. He does, however, add that some of the group felt a need for leniency with the subordinates.

Once you report to the Society the details of your adventure, they take them and think long and hard about what to do here. Meanwhile, you receive a missive from Valsin Well done agents. Your reputation for a job well done continues to grow. Stay close by, for I have plenty of missions to send your way. -V.
Congratulations Pathfinders! I apologize for swooping in on the scenario, but I hope it was still enjoyable. I'll have chronicles out ASAP, and once they're confirmed okay, I'll shut down the thread. In the mean time, feel free to keep posting!
