GM:
Where was that trap-door that I noticed earlier or can I just make an acrobatics check on my move to not land on it wherever it is?

Sars:
Not that kind of trap door. It comes out from under the stage, like you'd have to crawl through it, not go down it.

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

The onslaught is simply too much. As weapon upon weapon slams into her she eventually falls from the blows!

Out of combat.

The human is definitely dead, the ratfolk is unconscious (or could be dead if people didn't stop shooting after she fell, your call.)

Grand Lodge

Male Aasimar DEAD

I would have stopped after she fell; we want her alive, after all.

I figured as much.

You've got one corpse and one prisoner. What now Pathfinders?

Diri stabilizes Tseka, just to be sure.

"As her cooperation is required for the success of our mission respectful dealings with The ratfolk is necessary hence she ought to be disarmed and revived such that we may have some pleasant conversation."

To get the dice roll out of the way, at some point Diri will channel to get her and everyone else healed: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6) = 15

"Thank you, Diri." says Tametomo, relieved that the fight went pretty well and was fast.

"Shouldn't we go away with her? You think she'd be more cooperative now?" he asks, worried.

Zinkyudo thinks a moment, to be sure he's understood what Diri is suggesting, then agrees, "Right, take away her pig-sticker and bring her round, that makes sense."

"And what about getting out of here? We've got our target, our mission is to bring her out alive, but also to get whatever documents we can. So there might be value in checking out the rest of this little Aspis nest - but we'll have to keep her safe in the process."

Complete the mission or complete the map, gang?

Not mutually exclusive.

The party finds that their combat was loud enough to scare off the rest of the inhabitants, including the door guards. With the threat of violence or discovery abated, it's far easier to search the Deepmarket stronghold.

You find some valuables here and there. All on the impending chronicle. Like many missions, however, the real treasure is in the information obtained.

Tseka herself provides little. Though captured, she seems FAR more frightened by someone named Marnarius than anything you threaten her with. Nevertheless, your recovery of her papers provides plenty.

You find Tseka's silver Aspis badge wrapped in an admonishing letter.

DC 15 Knowledge (local):

A. X. Adrius is the public face of the Aspis consortium’s leadership, and that he shares power with the consortium’s anonymous shadowy board of patrons.

You also find a Gold Badge, but like the previous bronze, it's a forgery.

Finally, you find an unsent missive

As you search the compound, Yrishi returns "I saw everyone fleeing, but I didn't see you! I'm so glad you're all okay! Wow. This is impressive! I might have to stick around!"

Tseka agrees to come quietly. What now?

"If we can persuade her to be friendly the probability of us walking out of the building without a confrontation increases one hundredfold." Diri posits. "The guards would likely refrain from troubling us should we have Tseka as an escort."

"Or I can disguise her, just in case there are other eyes looking out for her - either friendly or otherwise."

He reads the notes and gathers the maps and other bits of information.

"It sounds like your future with the Aspis might be short-lived Teska. Perhaps it is time to think of another affiliation."

"Hi Yrishi! All clear! You should come back with us, lots more magic stuff and knowledge where we come from."

Sarsczek very carefully removes all of the maps from the wall, and attempts to maintain indications on the locations of all of the pins/daggers. Any that cant easily be maintained will be chalked on and the maps carefully folded and stowed.

"If all the snakes are gone, then we can carefully search the den. Teams of 2, take our time. We got our prey, now we make sure we don't become prey."

"You say everyone has fled, Yrishi, including the guards?" Zinkyudo asks with relief. "Well, let's take a look around and then take Tseka back with us. Anything else we need to do here?"

Looking back at the pipefox, he adds, "You want to come see some new places with us? You've certainly helped us out a lot."

DMS - can we expose the rest of the map, if we've explored it all? Always interesting to see the art.

Ninja'd but not completely.

"YES I DO WANT TO COME! Also, if you don't want to be seen, I can take you a back way out. No problems at all!"

Done and done on the map.

You do find what's left of a temple, the circular room. The walls of this circular room are covered in painted scenes of fear and torment. The stone ceiling rises in a craggy dome that is haphazardly carved with disembodied eyes, talons, fangs, and other monstrous features. In the center of the room, rusty brown stains run down from a circular dais, which holds a stained marble bowl and a collection of rusty daggers. A jagged black rune covers up most of the floor. Tattered and moldy bedrolls are pushed into the corners of the room.

Yrishi isn't exaggerating. The guide you befriended finds you a private way back to Amara Li. Truly, you've found a new friend.

Amara Li praises your skill and ingenuity and moves the ratfolk to a secure location for interrogation. "Did you find out anything else agents?"

Diri proudly mentions everything they've learned, and provides documents to match when applicable.

"One of the Aspis ratfolk was breeding kirrices but we were not able to ascertain the exact nature of his bio-alchemical studies."

Maybe this sucessful mission will resonate more than the diplomatic debacle on the opposite side of the continent, Diri hopes to herself.

Amara Li gives Diri a warm smile, "It is always a pleasure to work with Pathfinders from different parts of the world. Please convey my gratitude to the Grand Lodge, and let the Masters know that Tian Xia will always welcome the Society. I hope that we meet again someday.”

Any former Lantern Lodge members:

"The Lantern Lodge thanks you for all you've done. we continue to grow in no small thanks to you."

That was fast, but very well done agents! Good rolling, roleplaying, and direction choices led to a fast and efficient success. I'll have chronicles ready this weekend. I'll close the thread down Sunday, so feel free to make any posts in character.

Nice! Once again a pleasure to play at your table, DMS. It was difficult for Tametomo to contribute to the RP, as it's really a moral dilemma for him to bluff "his" way in the market.

Sarsczek pulls out his stack of maps collected from the war room.

"Lookkit what we found! I think the aspies gonna make a move on here too. With all o' these maps though maybe the hunted can hunt the hunters? I still never got a cognito though..."

He carefully unfurls them across the floors of the chamber and begins pointing out all of the marked locations.

"See, they got a piccie of the How-Gin Tapestry here, and maps of the lodge. I think these supposedta be marks for their hunters to follow."

He also stands up with pride showing off his new badge.

"Oh oh, and lookit what else I found! I can pretend to be an aspie too! Lotsa aspies got these fake badges it looks like. Some trouble with their bosses."
