Zinkyudo is very pleased to see his arrow strike home and drop the rat-beast, and he waits a moment to see what the various sounds he hears mean. The loud blast, accompanied by billows of flame, could mean the wayang had just blown up his friends, or it could mean just the opposite. The sound of tearing flesh and gnashing teeth, strangely, give him some reassurance, as it seems most likely to be Sarsczek taking great bites out of the wayang.

When the room goes quiet and Diri's healing energy washes over him, he relaxes and savors the feeling, relatively confident that things have turned out okay, and he smiles as the rope drops down to him. He slings his bow over his shoulder and ties a quick loop in the end of the rope, stepping into it and making himself ready for Nix and Sarz to haul him up.

The wayang was rather well equipped. Given your experience it doesn't take long to identify the best things:

Wayang's gear:

potion of cure serious wounds, potion of lesser restoration, potion of remove disease, wand of heroism (5 charges), alchemists’ fire (4), antiplague (5), antitoxin (2), rhinarium paste, smelling saltsA, +1 leather armor, spear, cloak of resistance +1, flask of reconcoction (THAT is something no one can identify yet), alchemist’s kit, formula book , mwk thieves’ tools, bronze Aspis Consortium badge, 35 gp

DC 22 Knowledge (local):

The badge is a fake!

You begin to go through the workshop. Reams of paper exhaustively detailing experimental processes are crammed into drawers underneath the table. These notes include procedures for creating kirrixes and his ideas for refining his "flask of reconcoction." Many of the pages are stained with blood or alchemical ingredients. While the papers fill most of the space under the table, the eastern row of drawers is packed with someone else's notes. No one bothered to lock these drawers— Some of these reagents are circled.

DC 15 Knowledge (arcana):
Most of the circled reagents are used in conjuration spells.

Letters hidden among the trade documents detail arrangements between Tseka and a local thieves’ guild called the "Dragon Fangs." They reveal that she regularly hired them to beat up her enemies and to replace local merchant’s trade documents with forgeries. The documents also disclose that the author was gathering magical reagents by a variety of means, including stealing them in transit and purchasing them legally. She also compiled extensive lists of ingredients and lists of prices.

DC 15 Profession (merchant):

You realize that this document compares the prices for goods across dozens of different merchants, and you recognize shorthand on the document that suggests that Tseka was planning on starting her own business and undercutting the competition.

A small wooden coffer in the back of the bottom drawer contains narrow bars of a dull, dark gray metal.

DC 18 Appraise:
The metal is glaucite, an alloy of adamantine and iron that can only be found in Numerian ruins.

The drawers also contains evidence that links Tseka to the Korholm Agenda, a faction within the Aspis Consortium that has defied standard practice of avoiding direct conflict with the Society. These notes include schematics depicting various rooms in the Grand Lodge, and speak of plans to have someone named Marnarius lead an army out of the Hao Jin Tapestry. These papers have a VERY strange and complex scent to them... Does anyone have the Scent ability? In fact, one of the trade documents carries a very careful array of dozens of subtle smells.

"Toss up the rope and I pull you up... Then I find how to set this thing back and shut it good."

Once he has a chance, he'll take a good amount of time to comb through the room, including the bodies, for a way to reset and disable the pit trap.

I don't have scent, but I have 1 rank in profession (food taster), a laundry list of unmentionable things tasted, and zero common sense.

Once his companions have hauled him out of the pit, Zinkyudo joins in the searching, quite impressed with all the wayang was carrying. He studies the wand a moment, once he's told what it is, and says, "That could come in very handy...and it reminds me of something. Valandil, would you mind using this wand on me? It won't help me if I fall in another pit, but it might help in a fight."

Forgot to use wand of mage armor, hoping our wizard can give me a tap with it.

He slips one of the antiplague vials in his belt pouch, chuckling in spite of himself at Sarsczek's antics with the badge as he does so. "I'm with Nix, let's pack this stuff up and keep moving. Does anyone want to use any of that crazy wayang's gear while we look for Tseka?"
