Korvosa Stats:

    Is Taniniver an undead dragon? Just wondering, undead is one of Grym's favored enemies.

    While the taniniver is full of rot and death the beast itself still lives.

    Solely by virtue of the devil's shaken confidence, Sandor scores a quick trio of hits. With a roar of defeated anger the devil's body drops in place, in true death!

    The taniniver steps up, as close as it dares to the prismatic wall, and it unleashes its full might on Grym and Bucho. The massive jaws come down on Bucho Bite: 1d20 + 30 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 30 - 5 = 43 for DMG: 4d6 + 31 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 4) + 31 = 47

    The dragon well knows that it's better to kill a target than to let it live. It continues to destroy Bucho:

    Left Claw: 1d20 + 30 + 2 - 5 ⇒ (15) + 30 + 2 - 5 = 42 for DMG: 2d8 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (1, 8) + 21 + 2 = 32

    From the newest Ileosa, the one seeming impervious to Ferox's arrows, a spell manifests near instantly. A thin fog that you've seen before rolls forth. Gaius, Morkeleb Criktik, Ferox, Odric, Sandor, and the Menotherian must make a WILL save, DC 30. Fail and you will take a -10 penalty on any future wisdom checks and Will saves for some time.

    With equal speed the purple Ileosa casts another spell on Ferox this time. AFTER his save versus Mind Fog Immediately the inquisitor begins to caper and prance in place. You cannot resist the urge to dance for ROUNDS: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 but on a DC 31 Will save it's reduced to 1 round.

    The crown on the red Ileosa flashes, and Grym can feel something trying to snatch hold of his mind. Will Save DC 29 or become dominated.

    Just looked at the map. Sandor's save needs to come first REF: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 okay so his turn goes as posted. Odric's first save was versus Grease, so he passes. His second is versus the Mind Fog which he fails (-10 to Wisdom checks and Future Will saves.) He can't 5' in grease, and indeed the target in his post is 20' away anyway. In order to move he needs this: Acrobatics: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19.

    Odric navigates the grease and gets into position. He then cuts a massive swath out of Ileosa's side. The cut is deep enough to practically bifurcate her!

    All Fear. Hey... This probably isn't magical fear. It's probably just the naturally occurring fear caused by a rotting giant reptile the size of a small house.

    Grym and Bucho fight against the dragon. They know that they are the only thing holding him back from raining down disease and death.

    There is no retreat. There is no surrender.

    Grym slashes back and forth, but not once does his blade get through. While the dragon defends though, twice the loyal dog, with his waning strength, bites down on the taniniver, though much of the bite fails to harm the monster.

    Following Mork's direction, Ferox unloads one of the greatest volleys of arrows in the history of the Inner Sea. Magically powered arrow after arrow buries itself directly in the taniniver's brain. It falls to the ground with a final thud. The queen's all snarl in anger, knowing that their protection is nearly gone.

    Cricktik tries to penetrate the mind of the Ileosa in the corner. Spell Penetration: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17, but the spell dies on the vine.

    The wasp fails to make contact, but Gaius's feint catches the queen off guard and his follow up takes he by surprise. Will: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 though the hit doesn't seem to damage her all that much.

    Black & Green Ileosas recover from the nausea and and moves to prepare.

    question: maybe I wasn't clear, but Chain lightning should have targeted EACH of the queens (I've got more than enough bolts), so unless there's some other form of shenanigans going on, only the real queen should remain, by my calculations. Please elucidate.

    Sandor wastes no time. Bones break and flesh is hewn. When he is done there is little of the queen beyond the slurry on his weapons.

    The red and purple Ileosa's act in unison. Red flies 30' up and forward, her crimson dress billowing as if a hurricane surrounded only her. She grasps the metal rod in her hand and in the blink of an eye casts a spell upon Ferox. She wears pure hatred upon her face. Spell Penetration: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36 This time his urge to dance is, in fact, irresistible. Ferox can attempt a will save DC 31 to cut the duration from 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 rounds to 1.

    She then begins an atonal song that is pure discord. All creatures in the purple radius must make a Will DC 30 save. Failure means you have a 50% chance to attack the creature nearest you with your deadliest available means without holding anything back. This includes allies.

    From the purple queen a flash of light from the crown comes with words to Grym "Lay down your arms and genuflect before your queen." Will DC 19 or obey.

    Ferox feels a little chuckle well up from his gut, but quickly checks himself, cracks his neck, and refocuses on his normally stoic demeanor.

    Since his arrows had little effect on the closest Ileosa, Ferox decides to focus on the others in the room.

    He teleports to the side of the room to get a clear view of the queens. He takes aim and looses an arrow at Red.

    Ferox gets into position, managing an incredible shot on the queen, but the arrow only hits a figment, reducing the total number of shifting queens to 9. The wounds from Morkeleb's spell seem to be knitting themselves!

    The Menotherian casts Dispel Magic upon Ileosa.

    Check:1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

    Gaius casts Greater Magic Weapon on the bundle of vials he brought up with him, and relays a telepathic command through The Menotherian.

    The Entropic Giant wasp picks up the bundle, which currently contains 48 Vials of +4 Alchemists Fire and kamikaze collides with Ileosa [Red]. It'll squeeze the bundle just before impact, to be sure the full bundle ignites. It will smash the bundle against Ileosa as it collides.

    I call it The Bug Bomb. I think it may catch on.

    Cricktik savagely attacks the Ileosa in the corner, and she seems utterly impervious to his blows!

    The Menotherian's attempt at dispelling some of the protective magic on the queen falls short, as nothing seems to break away.

    The wasp ally dashes towards Ileosa and: CHARGE: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 2 + 4 = 19 high is real: 1d9 ⇒ 2 The vials SHATTER into a million pieces as a massive pillar of flame ungulfs the woman.

    When all is said and done, a red aura absorbs most of the flame, but all of the images were destroyed in the splash!

    Ruling:

    The charge needed to hit the real for direct damage, and it would need to be a 20. Still, the real one took splash, as did the images, destroying them. They're not the same as a fireball or lightning bolt because an attack roll was needed.

    The incredible explosion caused a bit of wonder in the dwarf about why an area attack was needed. Hearing someone talk about images that he didn't see made it clear to Sandor what happened.

    The one flying is the real Illeosa get us up there, or get her down. Serinthal will be needed to kill her.
