Make sure somebody takes the Ring of protection +2
Gaius only has a +1. He'll take the upgrade!

FYI I'll be slow to post until Monday as I'm out of state for a wedding.

dont' forget, everyone, to take the genie treasure. I"ve put it in Undivided (except for the bracers which I took). +4 con belt, +2 ring of prot...good stuff
HP: 1d6 ⇒ 1
spells--Power Word (Blind) & Mord's Sword
feat...um, I'll take some ideas here. :-)
Sandor Stouthammer |
Sandor is updated and I also need a change to the spoiler.
Sandor should be updated to a Perception +19 and have an * for favored Enemy Humans like Grym
So I have power and water, although I think we are still under a boil water advisory. Roads are closed everywhere. If your thinking about traveling or north on 95 anytime soon... Don't fly and rent a car
Dungeon Master S |
Power and water goes a long way. Do you need a canoe to go to a store?

Gaius claims the Belt of Mighty Constitution and the Ring of Protection +2 and The Lantern of Revealing if there are no objections.

My bad. I misread that. Fifty you can do.

Where's everyone's pogs for the battle map? All I see are Gaius and Sandor's.
Dungeon Master S |
Likely a zooming issue. I moved them closer to the map proper.

You did not, but the best bet was here in the Green Market. The dragon can pretty much destroy its way through anything and you do NOT want to face a black dragon in the sewers, even if it's huge.
Sandor Stouthammer |
Fighting dragons with swords is ridiculous.
Funny you should say this since this entire adventure has been about getting the sword that slew the dragon who is controlling the queen. Besides swords are cool... especially when they are sabers made of light :P

Fighting dragons with swords is ridiculous.
upon reflection...you're right. It is kinda dumb.
In the book "Dragonsbane" (whence came the name "Morkeleb") the 2ndary protagonist was the only living person to ever kill a dragon. He used poisoned harpoons, no swords!!
Gaius Lirsiiv |
Serinthal is a different case. Epic Weapon is fine.
Basically, unless you have a weapon blessed by the Gods or something, you shouldn't even have a chance.
But crunching numbers enough so you can run up to it and six players can just hit it with pointy metal toothpicks until it dies just blows the illusion for me. This battle here is better than most. I've been in too many games where it was numbers vs. numbers.
Dungeon Master S |
Tony, you were there versus the Black Dragon who held the hammership, yes? That's one of my favorites.

Good fight, I have no memory of how it ended. Probably Tor's dervish dance and Razor.
A HIGHLY enchanted pole arm can probably do it.
Dungeon Master S |
I'm pretty sure it was Ross the Boss, as Mike was super frustrated when he landed his best spell on a dragon who was merely an illusion.

Then I'm thinking of a different thing I think...?

I think there is a lot of stuff that isnt too "realistic" in D&D mechanics.
I always just sort of go with it, since it is just part of the game.
Swords are great tools for fighting people. I think spears, especially long spears would be used for any sort of beast.
