On Aethorduils initiative he shoots any visible threat. If its not a surprise round he first takes a move action to mark his target and then shoot it.

So are you wanting us to roll for every knowledge skill we have? Or do some research to find out the type of the creatures for ourselves? Honestly, I avoid the latter to reduce the chance of Larissa acting on knowledge she doesn't have, but her player does.

Thanks. I don't have ranks in that knowledge skill, so I won't waste anyone's time rolling for it.

Larissa is quite a ways back, I believe. She will move toward the combat to aid her friends, but not close enough to enter combat yet. If a single move (20') gets her close enough to be threatened next round, she will ready an action to attack with a claw. Otherwise, it is a double move.

Edwin charges forward with Larissa, unwilling to be intelligent enough to stay back and shoot arrows at the ugly dogs if it means allowing the ladies to enter combat unescorted.

For some reason the name 'Baskerville' comes to mind, but he's fairly certain he's never actually visited there before,...

N'Kai observes the hounds, trying to remember his teachings about magical beasts and then delays his action. If any of the hounds gets to attack Leik he'll countercharge and strike them down.

Swift action to upgrade scimitar to +3 using arcane strike. Then move besides Leik and attack any nearby enemy.

Leik hits the trollhound with his fiery whip, and destroys the thing.

th1 dead.

The trollhound that fell crawls forward out of the grease and stands up.

That's his turn.

One of the trollhounds moves up, through the grease, and Nkai crits him.

It bites Nkai, for 9 hp in damage. Nkai needs to do a save dc fort 14. The thing's jaws drip with rotten foulness.

Also, Nkai is tripped by the thing.

The final trollhound makes it through the grease and attacks Leik.

It misses.

Heathy, I forgot to add +2 fire damage to the crit as per the Flame of the Dawnflower trait. Hopefully that will spoil the thing's regeneration :P

Seeing no way to help otherwise, Larissa conjures Sarenrae's Scimitar and sends it after N'Kai's injured foe.

The scimitar appears, and hits the thing pretty good. It's still up though.

Only Aethor's first arrow hits, but it's enough.....the trollhound that was about to start shaking N'kai like a ragdoll falls.

Edwin steps forward til he is nearly between Leik and NKai, (Q16) and then snaps his whip at the trollhounds legs, hoping to trip it in turn.

The trip doesn't work. The thing barks at him angrily and frothing spittle flies everywhere.

Rholf puts the hammer to the dog. It's looking pretty messed up, but, like Lady GaGa sang, it was born that way.

then,

three rocks come plummeting down from the top of the gatehouse. Rholf is missed, as is Leik and Larissa.

Also, Aethorr is surprised to take a crossbow bolt also from the top of the gatehouse. 12 hp damage.
