Just FYI, My kidney surgery went well (As well as such things go) And I am now able to sit up long enough to check email.
:)Hopefully will soon be able to sit up long enough to post posts.
;PHope everyone is doing well,
~Rags (Ken)
I have been so caught up in things in my life, I totally forgot about your surgery. I am so glad hear things went well. My mother-in-law similarly got good news after her heart procedure. Hoping you both continue getting good reports.

Thanks guys,
I completely understand AinvarG, I've been very self-centered lately since my health and our financial situation went down teh toilet drain,... :P
In the good news area, I only had to get rid of like 10% of my kidney to get rid of a tumor the size of a golf ball. So I'll call that an even trade.
:)
Be back solidly soon I hope.
(Just in time to get busy at work,... sheesh, it never ends!) ;P

Tenro, I remember a while back you were interested in a spider-themed ninja archetype. If you have a few bucks to spare, look here!

A Note on Names Dromites have no gender, and thus their names are not divided between male and female. Generally, a dromite has a personal name, a caste name, and a homestead name - typically a hive city.
Personal Names Niks, Rask, Sask, Neksak, Leksa, Heneks, Seleks, Seksa, Aksa, Olak, Leik, Svek, Hakkor.
Caste Names Fire, Glimmer, Ice, Shatter, Thunder, Flash, Lightning, Sunspark, Icespear, Stormstrike.

Cool.
As I noted in the thread, I thought perhaps the Dromite names tended to be literal. And that would have been funny, considering I have always pronounced 'Leik' as 'Like'.
That might have been just too embarrassing for our erstwhile detective to have missed. :)
So where are the Dromites from? What source I mean? Advanced Race Guide?

Question for the group,
I'm Finally getting around to catching up all of my PbP PC character sheets. (I was like, 3 levels behind on a certain druid) ;P
You have probably noted that Edwin doesn't have all of the combat support that a normal bard has. Detective trades the song of Combat bonus for the song of out-of-combat bonus. Certainly helpful in this AP so far, but not helping make him a heavy hitter. And he probably never will be.
But so far, his assisting by tripping, disarming and otherwise keeping bad guys occupied seems to have been useful. Your thoughts?
I will never be a heavy hitter, but I can certainly go the archer route and take feats like rapid shot, multi shot, etc. to provide some ranged punch. Or should I go the whip-master route? Keep em off balance for others to pound on?
I'm not married to either idea, and could probably go a mix of feats for a little of both. As long as Ed remains useful in combat, and gets to annoy, I mean educate, his fellows, I'm happy! :)
I just thought that this is about the level where we start to get 'serious' with the bad guys, (as evidenced by the vamp nest) and I want to make sure that he remains useful in combat, even if he is only going to be providing support.

Re: Edwin, as I believe you told me once, play what you want to play. That said, we are weak for ranged options and your tactical options make the rest of us more effective. Free attacks? Yes, please.
Leik is actually as close to a tank as we have and his thrown soulknives are our primary ranged threat other than Alinya's spells. We have bows and crossbows, but the wielders don't use them much.
I could totally see you using Improved Trip and Improved Disarm to affect the enemy's ability to affect us. Note that since we will probably see a lot of creatures with natural weapons, I would suggest you focus on the trip feats over disarm feats, but it's all up to you.
Play what you want to play. We could use either, but the whipmaster might be a better fit because it makes the rest of us better in combat. Who needs Inspire Courage, anyway? We have Mr. Drood!
;-)

Heh,
Well said Pixie, well said. :)
I can totally see Drood being disdainful of ranged attacks, preferring to focus upon his whip work. But then pulling out his bow and turning a BBEG into a pincushion when necessity dictated.
His line?
"See? I told you bows were no good. They take all the fun out of a fight!"
:)

I am planning on taking the Pyrokineticist prestige class, and one of the perks is being able to make your mind blade into a whip of flame (go to 5:53 if you dont want to watch the whole thing)
Now, i won't be getting too deep into the actual feat support for whips like improved trip, etc. But i will also have a whip. I was planning to play it as Leik liking Mr. Drood's trademark whip.

Hi all, just thought I´d drop by! I will be joining you as soon my character is ready.
First time poster, but as Heathy said I´ve been following the game thread for some time. I will be playing either an inquisitor or a magus (most likely the latter). Opinions and suggestions welcomed in both cases!
