Shae in the city:

Lio is surprised at the amount of emotion she just unleashed. At her own fears, which are still lurking. She looks up, into your eyes, still holding onto you. Her words quiet, not hysterical but not entirely calm. "Anwyl, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm... not better, and I ... panic... and I don't always... that I'm not... maybe I'm not ready... for everything, for what you wish, I just... I'm scared. And... I know you love me. I know your love for me makes everything we have done... amazing... and its just in my mind, but every once in a while my mind screams at me... and no matter how wonderful my body is responding... my fears take over." She fully expects you to be mad at her, upset that after all these months she still has fears. She lets go of you with one hand to wipe at her eyes, but then doesn't know if its ok to touch you again, or if you're mad at her. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 sense motive.

|Certainly,| says the Guard, making no move to hand it to you. |But may I suggest that whatever menial task you had intended, you allow me to perform on your behalf rather than sully your delicate hands with it?|

Lio asks Ameiko, in Halfling, what would be the appropriate course of action? If she stays here with the children, what will happen to them?

Chip and Devas:

Lio has been next to Shae for while, whispering with the tall elf. Now she blushes, bright red, smiling, her expression sort of emberassed but happy, her eyes showing how much she loves Shae. She shakes her head to the negative, and mouths the word later grinning as she does so. And before Shae can utter a word of protest, Lio kisses her silent.

Lio has not yet seemed to notice something is amiss with Zaiobe. After hugging Mel, Lio goes to see how Jorun is doing.

Because you're not lifting a finger to do any sort of work today, unless you count unwrapping presents as work." Her lips are a fraction of an inch from your own. And then they are on you, kissing your lips, your face, she showers you with kisses.

Halfling: I was thinking he would join us until he has earned his redemption so that he can return to his home and family with honor. I'm not entirely sure what that entails, but I thought assissting us to get past the ninjas would be a good start. WEATHER: Calm, cool
DISTANCE TRAVELED: 224 miles
TOTAL DISTANCE SINCE LEAVING SANDPOINT: 5859 miles
TOTAL TIME SINCE LEAVING SANDPOINT: 250 days

You leave Ordu-Aganhei as hundreds of fireworks launch from the Palace walls, turning night into day as they fill the sky with sparks and thunderous noise.

For getting out of Ordu-Aganhei without inadvertently causing the mass slaughter of innocents, everyone may increase their relationship score with Ameiko by +1.

You have successfully completed Part I of Forest of Spirits: ORDU-AGANHEI

You now start Part II of Forest of Spirits: THE FOREST OF SPIRITS

When you release Chao in the morning, far from the city walls, she turns and walks off into the grasslands without looking back. Eventually, you lose sight of her.

Also during your first day out from Ordu-Aganhei, Ameiko addresses everyone during the mid-day meal.

”Hi, guys. So ... I’ve been talking with Miyaro. She has some things to say I thought would best be addressed to the group as a whole. Miyaro?”

The other Tian woman nods to Ameiko. ”To ... introduce myself more formally than was possible last night, I am Miyaro. I am an emissary, if you will, of the Kami of the Forest of Spirits. The Kami are the ancient enemy of the Oni, such as those that Ameiko tells me you already know are currently ruling Minkai.”

”The Kami are forbidden from interfering directly with the material world, but there are ways that they can help. They have told me that if you are willing to meet with them, they may be able to point you towards information which could help you achieve ... your goals,” she says, adding the last a bit hesitantly as if she is not quite sure what those might be.

”In addition, I may also be able to give you some information about the current situation in Minkai, so that you do not walk in blindly when you leave the Forest of Spirits.”

Sandru adds, ”I think I should point out that, based on what Myriana and Liothonae found out from asking around, which Miyaro agrees with, the regular road through the Forest of Spirits is crawling with soldiers of the Jade Regent right now. We probably have to stay on the road through Hongal to avoid the horse tribes, but going offroad when we get to the forest might be wise, especially if we have a guide.”

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Flex: Desnus 2 - before breakfast

Melinda, carefully balancing a few packages, goes around to where Koya, Ameiko, Myri, and Shae are staying in the palace. At each room, after carefully looking around to make sure Reta is not in plain view, with a smile, "We are taking Reta out for breakfast to celebrate her birthday, if you'd like to come." Mentally she calculates how big of a space they will need with all of the palace servants.

Then, after a quick detour to the caravan to drop off the packages in the family wagon, she heads back to Alaric so the proud papa can shanghai the teenage goblin.
