With no offer to "smash" the door from Braggom, Cassandra takes out her tools and gets to it.

Her attempt was foiled by something, clearly.
"Darn, what's with this thing, something stuck within the lock?

It is sort of funny because you guys actually had the key to this door.

After a few swings from Braggom's sword it yields and is bashed in. You all see a creature ready to leap at you from the other side.

Cassandra quickly draws an arrow and releases it at the figure.

She gets the feeling it did little to nothing.

Ronaef's acid burns away at the creature as you all smell a horrible stench. Cassandra strikes the creature squarely with an arrow, piercing its flesh. When Braggom enters the creatures reach it takes a bite out of his flesh.

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Fort save 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Fort save 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Shaking off any ill effect Braggom returns his sword to the creature's neck, severing it clean off.

Inside the room you see an area along the south wall is enclosed in a cage of thick iron bars that extend from floor to ceiling. Within the enclosure sit seven black iron chests. To the north, the stone wall has collapsed, revealing a rough-hewn tunnel.

The wild halfling winces as she feels the weakness of the positive energy surge. "I'm sorry. I've only got so much of that I can do in a day, and it seems I'm running low."

Nat approaches the iron bars and examines them. Taking 10 on perception for 16.

The bars and the chests inside look solid. You see no noticeable keyholes. Additionally, you notice two grooves approximately the size of and shape of a small knife not well concealed in the wall, next to the bars.

Ronaef and Cassandra simultaneously insert and turn the daggers, causing the cage door to open. Inside there are 7 locked chests.
You guys can rest where ever you would like. Keep in mind things might change due to passage of time, and some places are less safe than others to rest. It is looking like the party is pretty well spent at the moment.


Cassandra's eyes turn big like Scrooge McDuck's, when he's found treasure.

"Oh my, chests, 7 of them. I'm itching to have a go at this and see what marvels they hold."

That should be 3 HP, Baggrom, unless you were already negative when Nat healed you for 2. Maybe the chests will have enough that we can buy a CLW wand in town?

I was at 4 HP, then during rage it goes up by 2. Then I took three damage. After raging it drops back to normal. Thus 1 HP.

Cassandra eventually manages to get all the chests open. Insie the chests contain the following treasure: 18,500 cp, 4,000 sp, 115 gp, 14 pp, and a teak case containing 30 gems.

Ronaef carefully looks over them and discerns that all together this haul is probably worth close to 800 gold pieces.

Actually, unless someone healed him before going to sleep at night, he only regained 1 (that is ONE) hit point. So now, he has 2 (TWO) hit points out of 15.


Isn't it 1 + con modifier?
