"Found a key"
Braggom picks up the key.

In case Marcellino doesn't identify the daggers.

Hmmm.. a torture chamber...

Ronaef then checks out the daggers

Appraise: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Lady Cassandra could you also examine the door out of here to see if the key unlocks it or if it's trapped

"Certainly."

Perception door: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Male Human Expert 3

Everyone notices the the daggers are particularly well made and lighter than normal. Ronaef identifies these as mithral daggers.

Cassandra looks at the door and notices it is solid and made of iron.

Cassandra's eye catches the fine details.
"Mithral you say? I like the sound of that. Dubs on 1, a girl needs some protection."

"This door is solid iron."
On Romaef's suggestion, and common sense, Cassandra uses the key Braggom found on the lock.

Male Human Expert 3

Ronaef also notes a series of strange notches carved into the flat of each of the mithral daggers.

The bronze key turns in the lock of the solid iron door, and it opens. As you enter you note numerous jail cells line these long-abandoned corridors. Each of their solid iron doors hangs ajar, and includes both a peephole at eye level, covered with a piece of sliding metal, and a smaller slot for food and water at floor level.

"Hey, let's go this way," Braggom says, walking to his left. He'll look into the first cell.

Male Human Expert 3

By advance I meant move your PC on the map.

Braggom looks into the first cell he sees. When he looks in the peephole it appears to be completely empty, with a stone bench, perhaps large enough to lie down upon being the only furnishing inside.

Braggom will move into the cell to examine what is inside.

perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Braggom searches that cell and finds nothing. He repeats in with the cells on the other side of the hall and the adjacent cell, all being empty besides stone benches about 6' in length on both sides.

Nat guides Demii to the large cell around the corner and investigates it. Can Demii smell anything?

Male Human Expert 3

You continue to find empty cell after empty cell. They are all opened by the brass key that earlier opened the solid iron door.

The tiger seems generally disinterested.

Male Human Expert 3

Braggom finds some small rooms with 5' recessed holes in the ground. The far walls of this chamber are natural, in sharp contrast to the worked stone found elsewhere.

You don't see anything in particular in the either of the two small rooms. Yay for mostly empty room exploration.

Just in case Ronaef will cast detect magic in each cell and looking at the walls of each to see there is any trace of illusion or concealing magic.

Let's go look at the room opposite where Nat was just previously, on the left side of the black rectangle in the center, then head down the corridor to the left.

Male Human Expert 3

Ronaef also finds the rooms to empty of magic as well. Nátulcien Ar-Feiniel finds the larger cell to be identical to the previous one.

Ronaef:

As you move down the corridor Ronaef notices that above him a curious semicircular stone ridge runs along the ceiling of the hallway. It goes into the wall at the far edge of the hallway. It is the black line on the map . Additionally he notices that the wall to the left next to him seems a little decayed, almost as if it is made of something other than stone.

"Rather an empty place. Then again, it's a ruin after all."

Male Human Expert 3

As Braggom smashes where Ronaef pointed out the wall swings in, out of his way, avoiding the worst of the blow.

Male Human Expert 3

As you move down the hallway you note more cells. Unlike the earlier ones these are far from empty. The first contains a long decayed body.

DC 10 perception:
The cell's door contains smeared rust colored stains.

DC 15 heal:
There are no obvious signs why this man died, but he has been dead for long enough that you can't identify when he died, probably greater than 20 years. The only obvious injuries are to his hands and these aren't grave enough to to have been what killed him.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

"Hey, have a look at this door, rust colored stains. Old dried blood perhaps?"

Untrained heal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Nope..

"Huh, that is some old stiff there."

Male Human Expert 3

The next 3 cells are much the same as the first one you encounter back here. The hallway turns up ahead.

Ronaef looks at the corpse.. "I'm surprised there are no undead here, it seems like a place of horror"

Male Human Expert 3

The following two are more cell with decayed bodies. As you approach the third door in the hallway you see a man appear at the window and call out. “Oh, gods, kind faces! Aroden bless you, noble souls! I ain’t seen the jailers in ages, I think they forgot about us! We ain’t eaten in days and the water’s all but gone—my cousins’re both sick. I swear we’d give back the boar if we could, but we ate it, starvin’ as we was. We didn’t even know it was the baron’s lands, didn’t know we was poachin’! I beg you, we’re all gonna die in here! Kindness, noble souls, we’ve suffered awful! Good Baron Sarvo wills it!”

Male Human Expert 3

I know its close to christmas but I'll try to keep the posting up. Sorry this place has been so empty so far

The man shakes the bars of his cell. “Water! Food! Good Baron Sarvo wills it!” He seems quite agitated.

Here's where low cha & N comes into play.

Cassandra doesn't move an inch for him.
"Can it, with such an attitude you're not going anywhere and we're not your servants."
"Can it" (shut up/quiet)

Ronaef examines the cell Can we get him out of there?"

Even Ronaef isn't that haughty, he's hungry

"I have plenty of rations, this will keep you going until we find a way out for you" Ronaef gives him some wandermeal and water

Male Human Expert 3

Braggom:
Braggom, you get the sense the man has an deep hunger, based on his words. You also notice his skin is slightly, albeit not entirely translucent as it flickers in the torchlight once.

As Ronaef approaches the man calms. Upon receiving the rations he thanks Ronaef, Thank you kind sir, blessings of Aroden be upon you, and quickly moves back out of the window of the cell, back inside of it.

What did you do to get placed in this cell? he inquires?

Cassandra takes some space from the cell.
"She is right you know, an abandoned ruin and someone survived within a cell?
I'd say leave him....too bad we haven't got a cleric to see if he's bad or not."

Male Human Expert 3

You hear no reply from the cell, after the man left the barred window and went back with his food. Infact you hear nothing from the cell.

Incase I didn't describe these cells well enough earlier there is a tray slot to pass food in at the bottom and a foot by foot barred window towards the top for looking in or out.

Ronaef goes up to the door

"How did you survive down here friend"

Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Male Human Expert 3

Ronaef, you don't see him in the window of the cell. It is dark inside and only dim shadows from your light are cast inside.

With the lack of sound one usually would hear from eating by a starving person, Cassandra whispers.

"I suggest we keep away from this cell until we've explored the rest of these ruins. He's got his food, but i hear no sounds of the rations being eaten."

Cassandra goes along with Braggom to inspect the cells.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Male Human Expert 3

The other cells were as empty as the preceding ones. You find another hallway and a poorly concealed secret door leading back to the original cell area.

Braggom gets bored of waiting for a reply from the rest and enters the cell. Upon entering he finds it entirely empty.
