"They wish to speak, i'm asking what they want and please don't inflict my diplomatic arts on yourselves"
Nátulcien Ar-Feiniel |
Sorry, thread wasn't updating on my page. Demii was going only far enough to threaten the standing kobold then.
"Make it worth not killing you?"

Can Demii aid? He's the most intimidating thing that Nat's got about her. Anyway, don't forget that intimidate checks get a +4 when you're bigger than your target, so Ronaef actually succeeded at the Aid above.
Intimidate aid another from Demii: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Intimidate by Nat including aid another from Ronaef: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 = 20 +2 more if Demii is allowed to help too.
Demii emits a bone-chilling growl, showing his teeth dripping with the blood of the kobold he just killed a few seconds ago.
"Throw down spear. Throw down knife and anything else. Drop to knees, beg for life, tell us where your tribe is and what you're doing here, then maybe we spare you, little worm," the halfling says contemptuously from her perch on the back of the fearsome tiger, her body language conveying dominance over the pathetic Kobolds.
David_Bross |
The standing kobold never dropped his weapon, he simply adopted a defensive stance (total defense). The kobold on the ground dropped her bow when she fell prone
The kobold on the ground responds again in common " I'll not beg for my life. I have information you might want, and I'll exchange it for us walking out of here. Why we're here. Where the tribe is from... If you don't agree, then we'll start fighting again gesturing to the other kobold.
The other kobold stays at the ready, covering himself from any attack and cowering a bit from the tiger and larger man next to him.

GM: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Nátulcien Ar-Feiniel: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Cassandra Hanata: 1d20 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 + 2 = 16
Braggom: 1d20 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 1 - 2 = 6
Ronaef Tuefellaei: 1d20 ⇒ 15
The kobold stands up and dusts herself off.
Looking over Braggom she says "I've got something that'll take the edge off that wound if you'd like. Its right here in my pack, if you're interested."
She continues, "I can take you to the tunnel that'll lead back to our lair. We were working with for another human to bring down the witch tower. An unfortunate accident brought it down, killing several of my crew and the man himself." None of you detect any deception in her words
David_Bross |
Braggom takes a drink. As he does so the wounds on his body begin to close.
healing: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7
She then picks up her bow off the ground, and begins to lead the four of you. " Follow me, I'll show you the entrance to a tunnel to our lair." Assuming no one stops her, she is being fairly cautious and not aggressive about the actions she takes here.
Ronaef Tuefellaei |
Ronaef repeats that for the rest of the party.

The kobolds speak to each other in draconic.
The one that speaks common says,"Hunclay was the human who wanted the tower brought down. I guess he would be happy to know he died trying ... and succeeded.
" Anything else you want to know? We go in peace, not bother humans of Belhaim... The rest of tribe is down that tunnel we showed you."
Nátulcien Ar-Feiniel |
"I'm not sure we can trust you yet. Does the tunnel lead directly into your lair or does it go outside then there's another entrance? If it's outside, then I think you should lead us there, but you go first in case there's traps."
David_Bross |
She responds to Nat, " Tunnel leads to lair. No traps last I was there. Not going to go back, one to many failures means we'd not be so .... welcome there anymore. Going out probably the way you came in, since its the only other way out of here.
She then addresses Ronaef, " Not his tower. Always b*$&*ing, say it just there to bother him, couldn't get any good views. Funny he dies under a pile of ruble underneath it. She laughs.
Cassandra Hanata |
Crossing her arms, Cassandra addresss th others.
"Shall we head back? I believe we've a few other rooms unexplored. However those could wait until after we've rested and our big guy here, obviously hinting at Braggom, is in tiptop shape."
She looks him in the eyes.
"No harm meant big guy, but it's clear to the eye you've taken the majority of the beatings."
Nátulcien Ar-Feiniel |
"Hmm. We should head back to get a wand of curing so I don't have to spend all my magic healing Baggrom. After that, we find out more about the local kobold tribe. No reason to go in without any idea what we're facing," Nat says.
"Let's look at any doors we passed on the way back."
David_Bross |
You head back up and out of the collapsed tower. Your journey out is uneventful. You find the two deputies you saw earlier, who asked about the collapsed tower, standing guard at the tower. One says We're surprised to see you alive. The baroness will be glad to hear it. You should tell her what you found below, and what the meaning of this kobold activity is. I see you haven't found old Hunclay yet. You can report to her at her manor, just south of here. area 27 on map of belheim
David_Bross |
You arrive at the baroness's manor the middle of the day after she sent you in. A servant comes to the door. He politely suggests that most of you dust yourselves off and clean your shoes before coming in. He suggests tieing the tiger off on the fence, as it'd likely cause a panic in the stable.
Nátulcien Ar-Feiniel |
To make the silly humans more comfortable, Nat ties Demii to the fence as requested, but gives him orders in Elven that will hold him to the spot more surely than any rope. "Termáre! Lau mát hildes!"
Stay! No eating the humans!

Nat dunks her messy hair in a nearby rain-barrel, and uses the water to clean off as best she can. She still looks like a wild child, though. She uses her club as a walking stick to compensate for her club foot as she heads in with the others.
Cassandra Hanata |
"Lady Ortega," < addressing pause
"Down there we've encountered several traps that needed caution to get around. There was a ghoul skulking around, a creature made of energy or electricity and there is the presence of kobolds. The latter claim the late sir Hunclay, yes he's dead, wished the tower gone. But Ronaef here can tell you of any dialogue held in draconic."
