Ting Tang |
Ting, very nervously shuffles his feat staring at the ground, eventually looking around at the other team members hoping someone would say something, after a while he finally speaks up smiling when he stops his narrative and replaces a word with one more appropriate
Yep, It seems ‘ese bugge… kobolds was minin’ a flog… tunnel ta tha bloo… basement an ‘at flog… fli… ah Hunclay fella was a ‘elpin’ ‘em but somt’in went bloo.. well wrongs, cause he gots crushed unders a bloo.. pile o’ rocks, wroight
Ting pushes the kobold forward to turn over to the officials, and continues with his narrative
we’s brought ‘is bloo.. nasty little cheak… fella as our witness, then we’s ‘eaded over ta ‘is flog… cave in the blas… quarry ta verifies ‘ats wheres these little fu.. lizards is liven, wroight, An ‘ens we came backs ‘ere ta ‘ave a pint and a … never mind, wroight
Feli2 |
Sighing Felicitas summs it up"I am afraid some kobolds are responsible for the collapse, they have mined under the tower and that caused the tower to collapse. We are still investigating the nuisance. Oh... that does not mean your friend was an innocent virgin.... far from it."
GM Baerlie |
"Kobolds have mined and this caused the collapse? I know that there is a tribe living near the Flooded Quarry, but they never caused a problem. Until now." Lady Devy says. She has a short conversation with some of the people standing next to her.
After a minute she continues "Well, some time ago we allowed the kobolds to stay in the quarry, as long as they do not cause any problems. What they did to the tower and Hunclay is a problem. We decided to remove them from the quarry. It seems that you are a bunch of good people. We are going to offer you a dozen of amethysts worth 100 gp each if you drive the kobolds out of the region." She hands you a heavy pouch filled with 500 gp.
"This is your reward for finding out what happened to the tower. Thank you for your efforts. I will invite you for dinner in the Wise Piper. I will ask Orem if she has four rooms for you. We really would appreciate and need your help in this case."
Ting Tang |
At the mention of a dozen amethysts ting begins to visibly drool, without even asking the team he bows low and responds
we's is yer 'umble servants yer ladyness, wroight blokes!
when they leave the company of Lady Devy ting pulls out the box of gems and says
Oy, we's can sell 'es, we's be getting Amethysties, wroight. Shall we's goes eats an then 'ead ta tha market?
Hans Olafsson |
"Happy to help! It helps us to work off some steam, and is a useful way to channel violent urges to a constructive purpose."
Hans will happily attend dinner at the Wise Piper. then have a good night's sleep, in preparation for tackling the kobolds on the 'morrow.
GM Baerlie |
For me it's enough, but I will roleplay with you if you like :)
For dinner you can choose whatever you like from the menu. They have rabbit stew, grilled moose, vegetarian casserolle, boar sausages and baked potatoes with sour cream and fresh herbs.
After dinner Orem shows Ting the way to the general store and the smith. They both buy what you offer and of course are happy to sell anything you want.
If you tell me what you want to sell, I can tell you how much it's worth.
Ting Tang |
let me rephrase that, as long as its ok with everyone
[/ooc]Keep: Pair of Mithril Daggers, Rusty Metal Key, Clock Key, 3x potions of cure moderate wounds and Huncley’s Key.[/ooc]
Sell: Bronze Plaque with Cantechure family crest, 30 gems (worth 800 gp, )mwk studded leather, mwk shortbow with 20 arrows, 2x studded leather, 3x spears, 5 gems worth 25 gp each
GM Baerlie |
If there are no objections, we can go on. I will calculate the sum as soon as I have access to a PC.

GM Baerlie |
Sell:
Bronze Plaque => 100 GP
30 gems => 800 GP
mwk studded leather => 87 GP, 5 SP
mwk shortbow with 20 arrows => 115 GP, 5 SP
2x studded leather => 37 GP, 5 SP
3x spears => 3 GP
5 gems => 125 GP
Sum: 1268 GP, 5 SP
I think you get 50% of the purchase price if you sell gear, is that correct? Like it works in PFS? For the plaque and the gems the merchangs are generous and give you 100%.
Ting sells the unwanted stuff in Belhaim and returns with a lot of money.
GM Baerlie |
Orem serves whatever you want, also warmed up leftovers from yesterday's dinner if you desire.
"Eat as much as you like, it's on the house! You need strength and energy to kick that kobold tribe out of the quarry!" Orem says. "You want some beer? Or stick to tea and juice?" he says while looking at Hans.
If you want to do a shopping trip, you can do that of course.
Ting Tang |
nope, just that last post that he was busy at work,
ting bought a MW thieves tools kit "last Night" when he sold the gear.
GM Gaerlie, How much are the two mithril daggers worth? Ting either needs to give 2/3 to his team mates or sell them.
as ting approaches Felicitas and Hans he pulls up a chair to their table and sitting says
good mornin sleepy 'eads, after ya's eats does ya wants ta goes ta 'is shop I founder? Er is ya readies ta go cleans out some nasty little buggers, wroight
GM Baerlie |
According to the rulebook mithral increases the cost of an item by 500gp/lb. The daggers weigh 1lb per piece and cost 2gp, therefore I think it's worth 502gp per dagger and you would get 251gp per dagger if you sell it.
Tell me if you are saturated and ready to go :) Spells and 2 HP are of course regenerated.
Ting Tang |
next time we sell items Ting will sell the daggers, he will find something else shiny to carry around :)
Ting smiles and jumps out of the chair, almost knocking it over,
Wells, 'ats more loikes it blokes, lets blow 'is joint, wroight
Ting heads back to the quarry and goes toward the tunnel the kobolds retreated into and looks around carefully.
ting would like to take 20 on perception at the entrance of the cave and moving in to it
Ting Tang |
as they leave the Inn Ting smiles and thinking for a moment hands Felisitas both of the daggers and smiles
quite so Missy quite so, 'ears keeps 'em both, loikes Alex says 'ays a fine pair, 'ays is.
you may as well us them, if ting was going to throw anything it would be a chakram, he just likes to walk around with shiny things for a while then he gets board with them and wants something new, like the amethysts they were promised :)
GM Baerlie |
You head back to the kobold lair's entrances. This time there are no kobolds guarding the entrance. The sun of the new day shines directly at the big stones in front of the entrances which are leading into dark tunnels.
Btw, for this part of the module you get your first chronicle ;)
GM Baerlie |
The cave is foul-smelling and has thick mounds of moldly straw on the floor. It is dark and the ceiling is only 5-ft high. The walls are covered with fungus and moss. Ting can hear creatures moving in the chamber ahead. B2
Medium creatures are inconvenienced by the low ceilings, and take a -2 penalty on all attack rolls in the Blood Vow lair.
Feli2 |
"Not really. But this is gross. And I will really enjoy walking here..... NOT." With this Felicitas goes a bit deeper in her knees and offers a quick prayer to Saranrae that she is smaller than Hans.
GM Baerlie |
Inside the next chamber you see five dire rats burrowing and frolicking in the straw. They Ting as soon as he reaches the mouth of the chamber.

Ting swings twice but hits only once. The rat between him and Hans stops moving. Another rat takes it's place and bites 1d2 ⇒ 2 Hans. The teeth do not hurt Hans' skin.
