Ting Tang |
Ting nods and lulling his tongue smiles his Tengu smile, heading south, continuing down the hall the stops at the open doorway and looks carefully explores inside, keeping a keen eye out as he goes.

Ting leads the way to the last unexplored area in this hallway and listens. He hears something lurking in the rooms to the east. Looking around the corner reveals a dormitory. A fire long ago immolated the contents of this dormitory, leaving the narrow cubbies black with soot. Several Grioths move around in this room.

Hans uses his chance to chop another grioth apart. Also Felicitas' arcane strike hits one of the grioths. Ting's attack finally cuts the creature in half.

there is only one grioth left, so I think it's safe to say we can waive this combat
Felicitas' hurts the grioth in front of Ting and the strange creature drops to the ground. Hans finally kills the last grioth standing with his longsword.
combat over
Suddenly Felicitas, Hans and Ting hear foot steps coming closer.
it's Bikgar, Gavin, Jasterigha and Lettu
Bikgar Fardbal |
"We heard combat joined, are you alright?" Bikgar exclaims as they catch sight of the scene in front of them. "Is the area secure? Should we expect more of them?"
Catching his breath from the short sprint, Bikgar offers a hand out to Felicitas. "Bikgar be the name, the society sent us to inquire about the delay and to offer our services in helping you. If you could catch us up to speed I know I would be grateful as they didn't have a lot of information before we went out. I know there was something else too, but.." raising his arms in a questioning manner he looks back at the rest of his companions hoping they can help him out.
Lettu "Wings" Kan |
Wings arrives with the rest of the pathfinders, looking with curiosity - but silence - at all the details of what just happened there. Finally, he introduces himself.
You can call me Wings. - he says, trying to sound friendly.
Gavin_Gossamar |
Following behind Bikgar, a human with green dragonscale armor has a bow in hand with an arrow noched. He rapidly scans methodically, aiming up... down... left... right. As he catches up to Bikgar he slowly releases the tension of the bowstring, but keeps the arrow noched.
"Aye! Lodge sent us to get a status on your assignment. I believe our fellow pathfinder Bikgar here also means to pass an order issued to a Hans and Ting. If any of you be them, your presence was requested back at the lodge in Cassomir. Y'all been selected for another assignment." Gavin relaxes his stance and replaces the drawn arrow to his quiver. "Names Gavin, as you know the lodge doesn't like to leave much to chance, so they assigned me to accompany our dwarf spell slinger here. I suspect wings here shares the same orders." Gavin takes inventory of the corpses, "Y'all fit or needing any mending? Looks like we missed a tussle here boys."
Gavin wipes his free hand on his green scale legging and offers it to the others, "Pardon me manners, name of Gavin. Pleasure to meet you."
Lettu "Wings" Kan |
If we may... What have you found out already... Felicitas? - Wings say, trying to pretend he wasn't shocked with the word "dragon", and trying to use the name Hans gave to the Aasimar.
Gavin_Gossamar |
Perhaps a check for general info about dragons? Not sure if what it might fall under... arcana (dragons are magical), nature (gragons are animals), history (lore about dragons).
knowledge: Arcana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
knowledge: History: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
"Perhaps we start simple. Does anyone have any 1st hand information on dragons that may be applicable?" Gavin strokes his chin between his thumb and index finger. "Beyond that, I agree with Wings here, getting us up to speed with what you may have uncovered prior to our arrival could help."
Feli2 |
Before Hans and Ting leave, Feli will have a quite word about the dragon slaying weapons and items. Pointing out that they will be invalueable in the fight against the dragon, and if Ting and Hans take them with them, the task might be incredibly more dangerous and difficult. Afterwards Felicitas gives the newcomers a quick breakdown on what has happened before.
Bikgar Fardbal |
Bikgar whistles at the tale, Quite the story ye have there. I have never dealt with the magnificent creature me'self, but I looked at a few good tomes on them, you know the ones with the big pictures of lizards eating birds. No offense good Jastheriga. Glancing to his travleing companion wincing as he realizes what he is saying. Turning back to Felicitas Being the closest to the situation, be it possible you have an idea of how you wish to proceed? I defer to your judgement
Lettu "Wings" Kan |
Never fought any either... Neither I know much about them.
He scratches his back, feeling the weapon from his ancestors roots.
Count with my help, though. I'm deferring to your good judgment as well.
GM Baerlie |
Hans and Ting leave the necessary equipment with you and wish you luck before they leave.
The next logic step is to open the next unopened door. Behind the door at the end of the hallway to the east is another dormitory. Small individual cubbies fill this room, each smaller than fife feet by five feet. The dust is thick on the floor here. Once the door is opened, two incorporeal creatures rush towards you.
They are allips.

Hans and Ting leave the necessary equipment with you and wish you luck before they leave...
what did they leave behind?!?
Bikgar Fardbal |
Oi those do not look good. Allips ye say? Not sure i've dealt with their kind. Kind of feel like I should have known there'd be fighting and prepared meself for this. I shall quickly get my defenses up and then who wants to be going all mountain on these foes? I shall make ye and yer weapon as big as one to bring down the boulderin' hurt!
Cast mage armor(ac now 18), and then move or shift out towards the back of the group
Lettu "Wings" Kan |
Lettu moves towards the undead, not knowing any better, and attacks. Such is the life of a pathfinder!, he thought.
Attack with power attack, cleaving, overhand chop. Using my +1 dwarven longhammer, a reach weapon, trying to position myself in such way I can attack them (they don't need to be adjacent). Assuming half damage if it hits at all...
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Damage: 2d6 + 22 ⇒ (2, 3) + 22 = 27 / 2 = 13
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Damage: 2d6 + 22 ⇒ (5, 4) + 22 = 31 / 2 = 15

Jastheriga casts a spell to protect the party from evil. One of the allips moves closer and begins to mutter to itself in a hypnotizing pattern.
DC 15 Will save everybody.
Special defenses: channel resistance +2, incorporeal, undead traits
Special attacks: incorporeal touch, babble, touch of insanity
Lettu "Wings" Kan |
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Jastheriga |
kiki... These ghostly foes will be near impossible to harm with normal weapons. Healing powers or magic weapons should have some effect. Also their voices and touch can hurt your mind!
will save: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 2 = 18
Remember you get a +2 to the save due to the communal protection from evil.

Fascinated: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
Gavin listens to the babbling and can't stop. Bikgar casts a spell to strengthen his armor while Wings simply attacks the incroporeal creature in the front and hits twice. allips are not so hard to hit, it's hard to do damage ;)
The other allip follows the first one, moves past it and attempts to touch Wings. aoo for Wings as the allip has to move through the longhammer threat square

A fascinated creature is entranced by a supernatural or spell effect. The creature stands or sits quietly, taking no actions other than to pay attention to the fascinating effect, for as long as the effect lasts. It takes a –4 penalty on skill checks made as reactions, such as Perception checks. Any potential threat, such as a hostile creature approaching, allows the fascinated creature a new saving throw against the fascinating effect. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a ranged weapon at the fascinated creature, automatically breaks the effect. A fascinated creature's ally may shake it free of the spell as a standard action.
