Hey stardust, I'm running Dragon Age for my players- I have no interest in cheating, but if I seem to be too familiar with anything you're running out of the books just let me know if I'm over stepping.
Apologies again for the standstill. This is the niece again. He had to leave very suddenly on a business trip, but he called me and asked me to assure you that Chapter 2 will begin as soon as he returns, which should be within a week. :P I apologize for the delay again.
I am back from my work trip. But I have been sick since Sunday with some sort of viral infection. Have not had the strength or energy to write up the next part... but will get back to it soon. :(
I'm out of town for a week starting Saturday. I hope to have internet access, and in the worst case, I will still have my phone, but if my posts slow, feel free to continue along and to npc me as needed.
Are we still around? And if we are still around do we want to keep playing?
The reason I ask is because I think this game plays better in person than on the boards. Pathfinder seems to work better on the boards, and I'm not as excited when I roll attacks here as I do when I'm playing the game on a table.

I'm still around and if we keep going i'll still play. But I'm with you on the system. I like Dragon Age but ultimately it feels less complete than other systems like Pathfinder because it's aimed at beginning players. With random stunt points and such, it's a little more difficult to plan tactics for a fun encounter since it's all up to the dice. Maybe I'm spoiled by having all those options at my fingertips straight out of the gate.
I am open to ideas to make the game more exciting if people want to play, but right now, it does not feel right to me. I have too many other game ideas in my head right now to focus on this particular venue. And I find myself being blocked in more by this playstyle (as James pointed out) than freed by it.
I feel the same way as you guys. If you want to drop the game Stardust, go on ahead. If you want to keep playing I will stick around, but It seems a bit pointless if everyone is 'Meh' about it and you'd rather run a different game.
Very well. I will say that I did my best to make it fun, I just don't think this particular game plays well on the boards. And you all roleplayed brilliantly, even with just the combat scenes you each had a spectacularly unique perspective, very character driven. So thumbs up and golf claps all around. :)
