The robobug lets loose a great whump sound from a nozzle under its nose and Jeji is struck by sonic force that rattles her fangs. Jeji-5 nonlethal Then its wings make a rifling sound as it flies upward about 30 feet overhead.
It doesn't sound like Jeji actually as a weapon out for an AoO??

He wanted to save the blaster for planned attack, but Drahlneep knew that if this thing escaped, they might lose the element of surprise, or worse.
He draws his gun and fires at the fleeing metal insect, but has a hard time drawing a bead due.

A beam of red light flashes past the beetle-like bot as Drahlneep fires. Perrik and Whiskifiss manage to get crossbow shots off as the spybot flies up into the dark sky. The ratman's shot bounces off the metal carapace, but Perrik's shot lodges under a wing. However, it continues up beyond the kobold's darkvision and is lost in the darkness between the stars before Kricker and Jeji can attack.
"Hellion's spy," Whiskifiss hisses. "I do not think it will warn the Smilers. If they did not see the laser blast, we can still surprise them. I will go get the ratfolk ready and listen for your attack. Let the moon rise a claw width before you start so we can get ready."
If there are no questions, he follows the outer junk wall a little ways and flipping a hidden hitch, pulls aside a piece of sheet metal and disappears under it.

Well, I guess it is good that it wont warn the Smilers. I wish I knew more about the politics around here. Let us move on and stop once we get to a point where we can see these Smilers. I assume they will have lights, which should make it easy for us to see them before they see us.
Before we start the attacks, Kricker casts Bull Strength on both himself and Drahlneep and Aid on Drahlneep as quietly as possible.

"Politics," Drahlneep spits in response to Kricker's comment as the priest spells him up. "All we need to know is that Hellion is the power here right now and anyone who comes to us wants something." Drahlneep looks in the direction the ratfolk skittered off in before swapping the battery from the laser pistol with the one from the neural inhibitor.

Drahlneep hears Kricker's gun fire and immediately springs into action. His body is filled with a barely controlled fury and he charges into the first two victims, laser blazing.

we'll say Perrik buffed Kricker and Drahlneep with Weapon of Awe (+2 damage, crit=shaken), cast shield of faith on himself, and bless for everyone (+1 morale attack).
Kricker leads off with an awesome BOOM! from his boomstick! A Smiler recoils from the blast. He is not long for this world as he is engulfed in flames from Jeji's bomb. Perrik and Whiskifiss fire screaming bolts at the mutilated mutants and Drahlneep charges in laser blasting! Perrik hits the same same Smiler as Drahlneep wounding him.
The Smilers appeared dazed by the unexpected attack from their flank.

Rushing forward to support Drahlneep and get closer to her targets, Jeji followed along and drew out another bomb. Unfortunately her haste through her aim off and the bomb fell short of her target.

Kricker's shot hits the wounded Smiler in the gut and a moment later he goes down in a fire burst. The other's focus their attacks on the next Smiler and he goes down in a hail of laser beams and bolts. One of the two remaining Smilers has either felt the effect of the screaming bolt or just think better of taking on this very dangerous gang of kobolds. He turns and flees leaving the last Smiler to retreat a few steps firing as he commands the Lobotomites to ATTACK!
Drahlneep is grazed by the bullet Drahlneep-3 shot and then the slouching humanoid forms rush through the gunsmoke from the other side of the campfire. They look like Smilers, but their heads are shaved and surrounded with stitches. Jeji and Drahlneep are reminded of the human named Baine who also had things done to his brain. These don't appear about to die however, though their eyes are empty and mouths slack and drooling and bits of rusted machinery are fused to their bodies.
Two charge Drahlneep while the other two veer a bit off course. The first to reach the kobold is metal plated with a drill arm. The other has barbed metal hooks instead of hands or feet and a pointed metal tube clamped over its mouth. Drahlneep blocks the drill with his shield, but is snagged by hook-hands.

Drahlneep laughs at the bizarre human grabbing him, and sticks the gun into it's face tapping off two shots and draining the battery. Somewhere his rational mind wonders if staying in the creature's grasp is the best idea.

Kricker returns fire on the Smiler injuring him. Jeji hurls a bomb at a dwaddling lobotomite and it is engulfed in flame. (I don't think any are close enough together to get two.) Drahlneep blasts the hook horror at close range in the head, apparently it doesn't require much brain matter to function as holes burn through its face.

Whiskifiss lets loose a crossbow bolt into Drillbit, but it is deflected off his armor. Hookhorror pins Drahlneep and thrusts the metal tube into the kobold draining blood like some kind of monstrous stirge. Drillbit takes advantage of the trapped kobold's situation to drill him. Drahlneep-1 CON damage, 9 pierce
The Smiler fires off another shot at Perrik, but misses. The burning lobotomite beelines for Jeji. Like Drillbit, he has some sort of device instead of an arm. Its purpose becomes clear as finger-like laser beam appears at the end and cuts through Jeji cauterizing the wound afterward. Jeji-7 fire. The final lobotomite has an extra mechanical arm and heavy metal jaws built into its face. It heads for Perrik and pushing through the spear, bites into the kobolds arm. Perrik-AoO, 8 bite

Slipping out of reach of the flaming-fingered foe, Jeji slipped another flask out of her bandolier but instead of throwing this one, she popped the top off and downed the contents. A spherical fluctuation shimmered around her as the mystical shield formed in front of her.

Jeji steps back to magically enhance her defenses after the burning assault. Perrik retreats from his assailant putting his longspear into play. 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 1 = 23; 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4 stabbing the lobotomite. Whiskifiss takes a hurried shot at Burnie, but misses. The Smiler gunman reloads, but is suddenly overrun by ratfolk that rush out from the darkness. The mutilated human fires at the shadowy figures, but misses.
Drahlneep continues to languish in the horrible barbed grasp of the wounded lobotomite as it feasts on his blood. Drahlneep-1 CON damage (3hp) Drillbit is prevented from another heinous attack on the hapless savage kobold as three more ratfolk rush out to swarm it. The steel-jawed lobo turns on Kricker. The mechanical arm spins around pummeling the priest as it leans down to bite him with jaws like a steel trap! Kricker-6, 6, 5 claw/claw/bite

Drahlneep pushes the fallen lobo off and gives Kricker a brief nod in thanks as he gets back to his feet. He reloads the pistol and falling back a few steps, mindful of the consequences of allowing one of these things to get a hold of him.

Jeji tosses another bomb at the laser-armed lobotomite. It is engulfed in flames again, but remains standing though it is charred and smoking. The drill-armed lobo avoids the flaring flames. Perrik pokes at Jaws causing minor injury. Nearly surrounded by the imbecilic cyborgs, Drahlneep steps back to the priest's side as he reloads.
Whiskifiss circles around the kobolds to flank Jaws with Kricker. His attack fails however, as he ducks the long mechanical arm. The bite is equally ineffective. The badly burned lobo comes after Jeji again, but molten skin sloughing off its face foils its aim. One of the ratfolk is badly injured by Drillbit, who fends off their assault. The Smiler fights for his life drawing a dagger against the swarming ratfolk. He cuts one and then falls as a female ratfolk with braided hair appears from the darkness to fire a dart through his eye and into his brain. "Redtooth!" the ratfolk cheer for their leader.
