Pai knows that the dolls porcelin eyes are scrying devices used by the Winter Witches to monitor the lands. Perhaps those goblins knew what they were talking about after all!
One of the goblins cries,"Leave those see-ers alone! The Witches see through them and can see through into your soul. Best to leave alone. Or smash it with a rock and burry in the dirt. Please, don't touch the eyes though, please, please!"

The goblins start to cry and whale in genuine fear! As their noise reaches a zenith, the gem-eye explodes into a thousand pieces and one of the goblins even faints from the act. One other goblin actually soils himself (perhaps again for today, its hard to say). So un-nerved are the goblins that they actually start pushing you along the path, wanting to leave this place as soon as possible!
Not much else here unless anyone has something particular they want to do.

Gathering your things quickly you continue following your map and head west. Now deep into lands of the Linnorm Kings your journey is nearly complete. There is a Blackraven rest station along the route indicating an area of rest. The Blackraven's are an elite militia set to guard against Ice Trolls and other possible invaders.
It doesn't take long to come upon the station. When you find it you see a clearing where a large, grass-covered mound, like a small oblong hill, dominates the area. A stout wooden door is set directly into the side of the mound, while a thin trail of smoke rises from the very top. Immediately to the south is a wooden horse stable, all of its doors closed.
As you emerge from the cover of the tree's, the wooden door opens and a militia man emerges. "Greetings Pathfinders! We've been expecting you and your little friends here," says the militia captain with a smile."Please come inside, I can offer you a warm place to sit, cold mug of ale, and a warm coup of soup. Please, please, come inside."

Jostrum slows a step and turns to his companions. "What does he mean they were expecting us? No one other than the Pathfinder's should know we are coming. I do not trust this, we should have had the cloak of secrecy." He says quietly.
Jostrum begins peering around the rest station and watching the militia.

While your senses are on alert, nobody can place anything that is out of place. In fact, you can smell roasted turkey and spiced wine coming from the chimney. The captain steps forward, extending a friendly salute. Captain Enrik Ironjaw, the castellan alerted us that you would be moving through with a special group of hostages. Now, lets get those foul goblins somewhere safe and we can have a meal inside where it is warm! He slaps Sorin on the shoulder, Sorry lad, but we are fresh out of ale. Spiced wine is plentiful though. I think you'll like it.

Jostrum walks over to Slypher and takes him aside. I do not feel easy about this, I was told by my faction superiors that no one was to know of our passing with the captives.

"I see... but if it should come to blows, if we are prepared we may have the advantage. We should set a trap for our new fellows, and be prepared to spring it on them should they turn against us."

Enrik interjects, No, no my friends. We can put the goblins inside and out of the elements. I have food for them as well. I know those little fellas have quite an appetite.
The stables are about 20' from the way-station. You can clearly see that there are horses inside the stables from where you stand. Inside are some more Blackravens doing what looks to be their daily tasks.

"Spiced wine? Who drinks that foul stuff?" Sorin asks, looking aghast at the captain. "Thanks but I don't think that I have ever seen real warriors drink the brew...and besides, when you boil stuff with alcohol in it, it boils off. Which reminds me of this funny story of my old squad and when we rescued a frozen keg of beer and decided to thaw it out to drink."
Sorin shakes the captain's hand warmly.
"I could go for some turkey though..." he says with an easy grin.

Slypher follows the others and herds the goblins along with them, but refrains from partaking in any food or drink. Instead, he remains standing, staff at the ready, secretly prepared to color spray the eyeballs out of their hosts if things turn sour.

Jostrum reluctantly follows the rest in, bringing up the rear. After the door closes he remains standing next to door, examiing if there is a way to bar it from the inside and taking stock of the interior and it's occupants.

Very well, lets go inside.
With that, the Blackraven Captain and his assistant (a female) lead you inside the way-station. Once inside they lead the goblins to a storeroom in the back of the cottage. The goblins go eagerly and willingly into the room that has plenty of food laid out for the goblins. With delight they sit on the floor and start to devour the food.
Now, let us sit in our dining room and enjoy some, uhm 'adult' food.. With a smile he leads you back to the front way station where food and drink are waiting for you. Sorry, fine warrior. Our ale stores are low, but I promise you that our spiced wine is very strong, and very tasty.

Osric will be polite and sniff the food. He avoids any strong drink. What do these militia look like? Do they look good enough to be considered elite ice troll killers?

You all sit at the table and enjoy some fine roasted turkey with potatoes along with the spiced wine. Sorin isn't so sure of the taste at first, but its better than nothing! Pai makes small talk with the female Blackraven, and the chuckle a joke that none of the men get.
During a quiet moment Jostrum can hear the moving of boots on the roof. A few moments later, he can hear the muffled cry of one of the goblins!

Roaring and angry at the subterfuge, Sorin jumps up, grabs his blade from where he set it near the wall and takes two quick steps to swing at the male warrior.

Sorin legs do indeed get caught up in the carved table, his swing not even close to connecting with the Blackraven leader. However that allows for Pai to take a powder out of her bag. With a single puff of air, she sends the powder into the leaders face. He takes a huge breath in and then lowers his weapon tears starting to form in his eyes.

To the captain:Oh my dear friend! Please stop this senseless violence and tell your men to lay down their arms! No one needs to get hurt! And then please tell me what this is all about and let us see after the goblins and secure their safety. It´s really important for me that all my friends here and all of the goblins stay unharmed!
Pai says this on her turn. In the meantime, securing the goblins could be a good option. The captain seems to be charmed anyway.
