Greetings and Salutations everyone.
Poblano here I will be bringing my Vine Leshy for this one!
I need a day or two to convert him to Digital though
Yua Suoh |
Hello R. Sweet! A Pleasure to play in your PbP game!
I have a ton of Level 1-2 options, and would be more than willing to bring whatever needed!
Lv2 Changeling Cleric of Arshae
Lv2 Paladin of Tsukiyo (Thrown Weapons)
Lv2 Dhampir Bow-Bard
Lv2 Catfolk Brawler
I love all of my Babies Equally, so I'll play whatever the party needs!
Lady Ladile |
Hiiii! Happy to be here and looking forward to having some fun :)
Like Yua, I've got a lot of low-level options I could play from fightmans to casters so I'm not inclined to be too picky!
And I'm the GM for Koani's current game; work slows me down (story of my life) but I'll try and have her turned loose within the next day or two.
Herbert Shimmerleaf |
Lady Ladile your here too!! Yay.
Magabeus |
Hello everybody, I am delighted to play with you all! I am away from home currently and also have several options. I will pick a character on Monday.
Koani |
GM, I just wanted to let you know a few PbP issues with Blarg, my animal companion. Right now, Koani takes ten to handle animal when not in combat, but in combat she has to roll and it is possible for her to fail. I then have Blarg do something cute but not helpful (smell a butterfly, or roll around in the dirt, or something else along those lines). Also for simplicity, Blarg usually just goes on Koani's initiative rather than on his own. Let me know if you're not OK with either of these.
Lady Ladile |
Hmm...my two Concordance characters that would be super-interested in this mission (my new leshy and my witch) are both occupied in other games and my third Concordance character (my shaman) needs some work in that I've still not got a great grasp of her personality yet.
I've got the weekend off so I'll noodle over my options and figure out who might be fun to bring along. A couple of my characters have yet to be played at all - like Yua's player I tend towards support/casters so my fightmans don't see as much action. Maybe I'll bust out my brawler or my swashbuckler or my bloodrager :3

I have -zero- Concordance characters (and no intention of making one, to be honest) If you want to play your Shaman, I loooooooove my Brawler. Mostly for Roleplay reasons.
EDIT: Actually, Since everybody is noodling a bit, I'll just lock in my Brawler. Ayla Tough! Ayla Fight!
Minna Náttúramœta |
Decided I'd go ahead and lock in my bloodrager for this one! Still need to look at making some purchases for her and spending some PP but otherwise she's ready to go :)
Shining Fox Blanca |
And Minna's friend and sidekick :D
Ayla Brawler |
So GM, I have a... silly question.
Say that someone had a bag full of apples. And maybe that someone was a Brawler, and could take Throw Anything as a Move Action. What kind of damage do you think an Apple would do? And what would its range Incriment be?
Asking for a friend.
Minna Náttúramœta |
Herbie! My leshy is currently an Herbalist too! Though I might try one adventure with her as a Plant Master hunter and another as some sort of kineticist and then make my final decision on what she'll be before I play her at 2nd level for the first time :D
*edit* Also it's been a long day and I'm falling asleep at the keyboard so I'll catch up on things tomorrow after I've had some sleep!
Minna Náttúramœta |
Not to seem like I'm ignoring the latest GM post but I think we're still waiting for Magabeus to select a character and check in to Gameplay, since I know he said he was out of town over the weekend. And are there just five of us playing or is there a sixth that I've not seen? So far I count Magabeus, Redelia, Gary, Korolan, and myself :)

Hey GM!
There are a bunch of Forum Tags that make PbP GMing a little easier, and smoother sailing!
The big ones are OOC and Spoiler.
OOC: When you want to give some information to the players that maybe the characters wouldn’t know, You can use the OOC tag to make it Light Blue, that represents Out Of Character conversations! Like this! Hey R. Sweet, I still have Dodge from my Martial Flexibility. Would that attack have hit still?
Secondly, the Spoiler tag can be used to hide information, unless certain specifications are met. They are often used for Knowledge Checks, Information that Only One character would know, or hiding any rolls that you would prefer to be private. If you use ‘Spoiler=‘ between the brackets, you can even list what is hidden in the spoiler tag! Like this:
I’m Super excited to play this game! I’m going to apologize now for Ayla, as she tends to be.. well... Disruptive at times. If you need me to scale it back, I can do that!
You can even make a few of them in a row!
In doing things like this, It can prompt your players to make rolls while still keeping some information ‘Behind the Screen’ so to speak.
Hopefully this information is helpful! I’m here to help if you have any questions!
Quon Quonnery |
Somebody mentioned grippli?
Player Magabeus / Gerard
Character Quon Quonnery
PFS 24861-19
Class Ninja 1 / Sorcerer 1
Faction Scarab Sages
Day Job Not applicable
Did you know you can also do nested spoilers?
Unfortunately...
That means you can do Ayla's knowledge check like this
DC 15
DC 20
I like this method as it takes up less room in your posts and it is also obvious that it is a single roll.
Herbert Shimmerleaf |
Thank you Korolan I appreciate the acolades.
Lady i love your Bloodrager. Kinda cutsey with the little fox. My Monk/Wizard has a similar connect with his familiar (a permafern)
Minna Náttúramœta |
Aw shucks Korolan, thanks!
And also thanks Gary - in some ways Minna is probably much of what you'd expect for a bloodrager and in other ways I'm hoping she'll prove to be a little different :)
(Also, will catch up with Gameplay soon!)
Narissiel |

^That's a good question - I think everyone here would be happy to offer suggestions and tips and answer questions, once we know what sort of format you'd like to see them in :)
*edit* Heading to work very soon, so further posts will probably have to wait until later this afternoon or tonight!
R. Sweet |
Any offers of tips, suggestions, and concerns would be appreciated. Delivery method: use your judgement.
Also, I came here to tell you that Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays I work 12 hr shifts, so any posting by me will be scant unless I'm home, or am able to get a break in the action.
Koani |
First bit of input:
When you copy and paste from the scenario text, it can be good to adjust a little before you submit it. Particularly, it is good to change 'the PCs' to 'you' or something like that. Some GMs edit very lightly like that, some change a lot, and some sometimes do either.
Koani |
OK, step 1, sharing the map with your players. You need to put the map link in the same place where you right now have a brief description of the scenario. It's easier to give you the syntax for this in Hangouts.
Ayla Brawler |
Sorry for being out for a day or two!
My local Game Day was on Saturday, which means that I had a bunch of chores to catch up on Sunday.
GM Chie |
Another thing that is Helpful as a GM, it to put the link to your maps in either 1) Your Tagline (See Slightly above!) or the Short Description on the 'Campaign' page.
The Short description show up at the top of every Forum Page, and make that information easy to find! If the link is in your Tagline, it provides an easy link whenever you post!

Ok players..the good news is that I live in Florida. The bad news is that Florida is prone to Hurricanes.
The good: Hurricane season doesn't start until June 1.
The bad: There are the occasional storm that happens before then.
The bad: Florida is in perpetually in need of water.
The good and bad: It's been raining off and on for the last 24 hours.
The point: I'm shutting down my desktop. I still have tablet, so I will get to getting as best I can.
Also, at about 4pm EDT, I will be leaving for my regularly scheduled group. Pending on how that goes, I may be back here at 10:30ish.
Minna Náttúramœta |
Thanks for the update, GM! I hope things don't get too ugly weather-wise for you.
Now that we're to combat, how do you want us to respond as far as posting our actions goes? Something that a lot (but by no means all) PbP GMs do to help speed things along is a thing called 'block initiative' - for example, since it looks like all of us PCs go before your frogs, we all post our actions and then you resolve what happens before posting actions for your frogs. It's quicker than enforcing a strict post-in-initiative-order because your first person up in initiative may be halfway around the world and asleep while everyone else is awake and ready/able to post right away.
Does that make sense?
Minna Náttúramœta |
Yep! You've got the right lingo there :)
And okay, good to know! I'll post Minna & Blanca's actions shortly :)
