Ah, the bottle. Okay, 1d20 + 8 - 5 ⇒ (9) + 8 - 5 = 12. Nope, nothing -- unless you want to take a sip.

Can I get at least a few likes for picking on our gallant Sir Stud?

:)

By the way I think it's cute Edmin made a friend.

Wow, 71 posts since yesterday! We're trucking along in this AP, I love it.

I expect it to slow down after a while -- that's usually how these things go. But yeah, booking along so far.

No reason to slow down if people remain active posting. I know there are a few in non-USA time zones, so that will cut down on rapid responses at certain times of the day, but so far it is a lot of fun.

Now, lets go and get us some Warden.

Unless there are hidden rooms, you seem to have explored all of this building. If you want to go to the Warden's Tower, you must exit the building. There seems to be only one exit: the double doors at the north end of the Great Hall, where the two drunken guards were standing. The Gatehouse is directly north from those gates; the Warden's Tower is around the back to the south.

Hm, that last should have gone over in Gameplay. How do you move a post from here to there?

Click "Edit", then copy the whole post. Then cancel your edit and click delete. Then move over to the Gameplay tab and paste the entry.

I love the visual of the group debating strategy and making plans and Bref by himself paying no heed in the corner setting off a trap. Now where did that vial of Cure go ...

Off to bed, was hoping to have grilled goblin for dinner, looks like I will have to wait for grilled tiefling tomorrow.

DM Easter Egg: the overheard song from the bakers was from Maurice Sendak's "In The Night Kitchen".

now now let not get upset. We are playing LE and getting the power plays out in the open always cuts down on upset later. Players can now have there pc's follow Judge and his bidding as they see fit. Hes ignoring Rosa now as he knows he can not smooch his way past her her, I think its great fun, and just when its gets to dramatic the Goblin can always C**P on a desk hehe.

Any thing said PC to PC is just that, Player wise I like the way the Judge is playing it, hes playing and acting true to LE type, as a player how he gets the time to check the thread so often is way beyond me, buts cool if you have the time.

I want to see what the Goblin dos next.

No longer active

Also as the Judge is now isolating Rosa (her Wil of 16 makes tricking or talking her into his power base has no chance, the only way now is if the contact they are going to meet tells her to follow him, which I have a feeling was the plan all along, who's the boss after the big meet etc.)

Smooching the others to build his power base is just what the Judge would do, with the practiced ease, and a Cha of 20 he can bend simple minds as a master manipulator, she know he would after three days and nights of looking at his actions.

The show down was coming, it was just Rosa did 1st not him, but he would need all to do is bidding and she has a god all ready to follow.

The others she will see as just falling for his charms as one by one they start acting like lapdogs and do his bidding.

But that is how LE rolls, I mean its odd him talking of merit leading to well leadership, that's no how LE works are all, but that's just words as the Judge himself has no combat traning so him commanding a Knight into combat, well that's about right.

Thats why Rosa is not happy, The tail is wagging the dog in her view, a book loving mage telling a Knight how to fight,

Its a &**&& up LE world we live in. hehe

For summoners I know see the power of them for LE, I mean its cool to have two PCs one that can never die, it looks like your with the guys wile in fact your risking nothing, Masterfully done by the way.

But of the Judge follows the true LE way he will keep them thinking they have a bit of freed to act wile slowly reeling them in until they are little more than lapdogs to do his bidding. Any words of, "No no no I am not like that" or "no really you are free but do as I say" hehe are nothing more than soup to the masses. Word food for fools that all, wile the real decisions are made by him alone.

In the end all become little more than puppets. True LE, Always getting the others out front wile you stay back :)

Well as I will miss the start of tomorrow I winder where he will send as all next.

It seems combats always occur late at night here, when I'm asleep!

Jax has a crossbow and dagger atm, he'll always attempt the crossbow first then drop it after the first shot and, if enemies aren't close enough for him to move and stab, he'll fire the second crossbow then drop that. If we ever start a fight where the odds are looking bad, he'll drop color spray first.

He had made a knowledge (arcana) check on the creature to see what it was, if that was even the right check.

DM: How likely is it that a guard will know Jax's specific face as opposed to looking at him and seeing "generic demonic like tiefling" when he has his tail free?

Good question! It's not like they get a lot of tieflings through here...

We left Grumblejack to support Jax hidden on the library floor, is that alright?

He REALLY wants to bash something, or someone. We will need to let him loose in the guardhouse.

DM the way I understood it, Jax was in the foyer waiting for the guards, we Left Grumblejack in the library in case Jax has to come up a floor and Grumblejack would have a chance to surprise any curious guards, and the rest of us advance on to the top.

Of course now I think we just got hit by the 3rd level Sleep spell (Deep Slumber?) so ...

And I just rolled a 3 for Spellcraft and a 2 on a Will save!

Soooo what was the next AP you guys wanted to play?

:)

Can't do the Spellcraft check anyway unless you first make the save. Otherwise it's "Hey, I'm being affected by [whump] [thud]."

Yes, he's downstairs in the dining room, not even as close as the foyer. He'll meander his way toward the stairs, walking at like..half speed until something starts screaching above.

Rosa seems to have been moved up from the front door, just read the thread, I never wanted her to move from that door as its out as yet only why in and at, + she can cast DP and try and fool any one who comes, as was talked about, So Im asking she be put back, should not effect any of the game play I missed.

Okay, Rosa is at the door. Jax is strolling up the stairs. Grumblejack is down in the ground floor room.

Female Aasimar Wizard 6 (HP 53/53; AC 18/18/15; CMD 16 Fort +5; Ref +7 Will +8; Init +3; Perception +11; Darkvision 60 ft)

Grumblejack was in the library I believe, that was at our request, as a special surprise if the guards got that far, Jax could lead them for a surprise if needed.

There was some confusion on that point -- Jax seemed to think he was on the ground floor. I said he would go where you told him. Rereading, I think that yeah, library is more correct.

Doug M.

Okay, going out to dinner with friends. Back in 3 hours or so.

Enjoy the dinner DM!

Just looked at the picture of the Warden again, and reread your description.

He has an eye patch and a monocle. That's so cliche that it's amazing!

He looks like he's a German officer or Imperial, and yet he's the good guy!

If his name is Her Van... then the know we are in trouble,

"Let's go fight the Warden! It'll be cool!"

Okay, so, there's good news and bad news.

The Warden, since his boyhood, has always wanted a Goblin for a pet?

A general note on initiative: try not to go too far ahead, please. If the init order is A, B, C, D, E? It's fine if B goes before A. But if E goes before A, then things can get garbled, because by the time E goes, A and B have already killed the monster, C is looting the body, and D has started to open the chest. Or there's another monster, and we transfer your attack to it -- which is fine, but then we have to scroll back 30 posts to see what you rolled.

Botting yourself is fine ("if the monster is still standing I do X"). But try to keep it flexible if possible.

many thanks,

Doug M.

I have to leave for work, DM or Edmin please run my character as best you can, I still have Disguise Self and Sleep as spell options.

Also if the guards don't get attacked and we have the Warden, we can either risk a Bluff with a Disguise Self and pose as the Warden OR use the Warden as a hostage.

Don't make those guards sound their horns!

Not to be a rules lawyer, but if that was a Flaming Sphere then a reflex save negates the damage.
